i need help, does anyone know how to bluetooth your contacts to a in car media centre with iphone 4?

If syncing contacts from a Cloud service or a supported application on the computer, remove the groups there.
There is no functionality for the user to initiate sending contacts in iOS. If the head unit support PBAP, the contacts sync automatically when connecting to the head unit.

I had this problem as well and after several weeks of research I found something that worked for me. I went into contacts clicked on groups and determined which email I had synced with contacts. I had 2 however I was only showing my Gmail account in my contact list. I went to my Gmail account and entered an individuals name, phone number and email address into my contact list in Gmail. Then went into settings, Facebook and update all contacts. it updated that one contact with all the information that is shared with me on Facebook, including the profile picture. I found an even easier way to accomplish this if you're using a Yahoo account because at this time Yahoo has a sync option that it seems that Gmail's latest version currently does not. Go to your Yahoo account, contacts and import all contacts from Facebook. Once that is done go back to settings, Facebook and update all contacts. Voila all you Facebook information in now in your iPhone contact list. Note: You may end up with some duplicated in your contact list. Simply link the contacts together and all of that individuals information is stored in one contact in your phone. Hope this helps and Happy clicking! lol

I am new to BB and have been spoiled with the wireless sync I was used to using the Palm Treo. If I lost/broke or had my three year old throw my phone down the toilet (just for example) I could count on all my contacts being saved on a wireless server.
I tried doing the GMAIL account since that syncs your calendar, etc. but it is a pain to start a whole new account and have to re-enter all my current contacts, etc.
Is there software I can purchase to back up my contacts on PC.....You know......just in case that 3 year old...or his other 4 siblings get any crazy ideas!!

Outlook is a program the is installed in windows, its a personal information manager (pim).
Google sync is a viable option, it's a free account.

Nevermind I saw that they have copied over, but they don't copy into my iphone group, they just get copied over the the "All" group

I have been trying for days to update me VCF file to eliminate all of the extras that I don't want to see in my skype contacts.
I have created a new VCF file and just cannot figure out how to make it happen. I have tried to uninstall on my computer, delete the %appdata%\skype file, and then go through the Contacts>Advanced>Restore contacts from file but in the end, it just gives me the same list that I am trying to get rid of. What am I missing? What's the magic?
If I could actually just delete those outlook contacts that would be great too but YOU CANNOT! I have tried blocking and delete contacts but that just puts them to the end of the list. For crying out loud, I cannot be the only one that wants to update their contact list...

Ok.
Open System Preferences, Apple Logo icon in the menu bar and then System Preferences or the Sys Pref iocon in the Dock and go to the Internet Accounts area and look at your iCloud account. It should list what is and isn't synced by a checkmark next to each item.
Also in the Contacts app click on Contacts in the menu bar and select Preferences then accounts and make sure your iCloud account is listed. You can also do that from the Internet Accounts area in System Preferences.

Sync your iPad with computer iTunes.
Note: your contacts should be in computer Outlook (Windows) or Contacts (Mac) application.
If you have iCloud configured in iPhone, do the same for iPad.
Setttings > iCloud >
     Account: your Apple ID

Let's say, I have an Iphone 3GS and it was synced to my older pc (I know...) and it crashed and I can't retrieve my files on there. If they are iCloud contacts, just log into iCloud on your new phone.
You should restore from a back up of your old phone though to get things like your photos and other app data onto your new phone.

I have 2 I.d.'s because I my daughter was on my first account and I was getting all her text messages and it was messing up us both because I would get her stuff and she would get mine. I use my phone for personal use and work. I needed one separate account so my personal things stood personal. I'm sure there was a way to stop it but I'm always so busy working that I didn't have time and having another account was the easiest and least time consuming way.

Do you use iCloud? On both devices - Go to Settings>iCloud and turn on Contacts, calendars, reminders, and whatever you want to sync in those settings.
