I am wondering if any of my neighbors have hacked into my network. My security is turned on, my be I'm just paranoid.
    Thanks

    Welcome,
Run the Airport Utility, click on the base station and view Wireless clients. this will give you the MAC id of all connected clients.
I also use iNet to list clients (available for OSX or iOS - I have both)
If your router is wireless as well you'll need to use the admin pages to see if anyone is connecting to that.

  • Can you tell if someone has tracked your device?

Can you tell if someone has tracked your device?

Nobody can track your device without your AppleID and password. If someone else knows your password, they could have used Find my iPhone to track your device. Change your password if you suspect this to be the case.

  • HT3529 how can you tell that someone read your text message?

How can I tell if someone has read my text message?

Text messages, i.e. SMS or MMS, do not have a "return receipt" feature. iMessages, however, do. If you're sending via the Messages app, your friends need to turn on the "Send Read Receipts" option in the Messages settings on their iOS devices.

  • How can you tell if someone is secretly monitoring your computer?

Hi, I get the feeling someone is monitoting my computer remotely. It acts strange at times and constantly gets hot and information seems to be changed ot moved around when I sign back on. Also, when I look at system logs and such it's always saying weird things like stelth connection attempted and there are some things I can look up with my friends computer, that will not show up on mine and I mean things on the internet like Google and such.  I'm 45 yrs old so I know that no parental blocks are on it.. But I feel like someone else or possibly my own (other half) maybe watching what I am doing online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    KK

    They probably are.
In reality of course, there is no such thing as total internet privacy: US and British intelligence agencies have successfully cracked much of the online encryption relied upon by hundreds of millions of people to protect the privacy of their personal data, online transactions and emails:

  • How can you tell if someone is spying on your iPad?

Trying to determine if someone is spying on my iPad where they can see emails, apps, websites visited, get personal info.  THanks for the help.

Tracking someone who's snooping on your iDevices is simple. Super simple. Simply clear everything you don't want seen. Web pages, browser history, texts, emails and phone call log. Then double click your home button. Turn off all of your background programs right before you lock or allow your device to auto lock and BOOM! The trap is set. If you suspect a nosy significant other of snooping this will catch them. When you get back to your device and double click your home button it will show you everything that they looked at. It's totally stealth and totally free.

  • Can you tell if someone is blocking your number?

When I pull up contacts to send text messages to, they are different colors.  Do you know what  light grey mean?  Does this mean they are blocking you? Anyone know?

    Hi there usagrad1996,
The different colors indicate if the message is an SMS message, or an iMessage. Take a look at the article below for more information.
    iOS: Using Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3529
How do I know if I am sending an SMS, MMS, or iMessage?
The type of message you are sending is noted by the color of the send button and text bubble.
A text message sent as SMS or MMS will show the word "Send" in green when typing and have a green text bubble.
A text message sent as iMessage will show the word "Send" in blue when typing and have a blue text bubble.
Some carriers may automatically convert long SMS messages (ones that would require multiple SMS messages to send) into MMS format.
On iPhone, if iMessage is unavailable, the message may be sent as SMS or MMS, depending on the content. Carrier messaging rates may apply. You can adjust this behavior on your iPhone at Settings > Messages > Send As SMS.

  • How can you get the itunes app onto your computer so I'm able to get music off my ipod?, how can you get the itunes app onto your computer so I'm able to get music off my ipod?

i got a new computer and im unable to get the itunes app on there to conect my ipod to it and get my music and pictures off of it. does anyone know how im able to download itunes on a laptop?

Click Itunes at the top of this page and download it.
The ipod is not a storage/backup device.  The sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The only exception is itunes purchases:  File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

  • How can you tell if a file is being used in your project or not?

How can you tell if a file in your bin is being used in your project or not? My director dragged hundreds of reference files into my project and only used a few of them. I'd like to do some house cleaning and delete the ones that are not in use. This project file has 100 sequences in it, so it would be a tough manual hunt to figure this out.
In Premiere Pro (or Flash for example), where all the information is in the Project Bin such as in/out times and duration, there is where it tells you how many times that piece of media has been used or if it hasn't been used yet.
Can FCP tell me this info?
    Thanks for yout time!
    -Monty

    Monty,
Within FCP, there is a menu item called "Media Manager" (depending on what version you are in). This would be worth your while to look into. It basically organizes your project by moving/archiving any used assets of a project and leaving out un-used assets. It saves a ton of disk space.
For example, say you have a 5 minute clip with an in/out point that is just 30 seconds. Media Manager will "archive" just that 30 seconds, not the entire clip. There is even a setting that you can add additional "handles" time to the front andd back of the clip if you think you may need to add or change transition.
Do a google search. I was just watching a few Youtube videos on this myself.

  • TS3376 how can i tell if someone is logging into my find my iphone account and how can i find out who it is?

how can i tell if someone is logging into my find my iphone account and how can i find out who it is? Can I add a second layer of password security for Find My iphone?

Nobody can log in to your iCloud account unless you gave them your password. There is no other way.
If you shared your password with someone (not a good idea) and no longer want them to have access to your account, change the password and don't share it again.

How can i see when someone has accessed my call/text log. (This is possible on google/gmail) I have been informed that someone has accessed my activity log and is giving my information to a third party. I believe it is a service tech, but I am not interested in persuing that further. I just need to see when my account has been accessed if possible.

    Hi lynniewigs,
This is a common concern among Android and I-phone user, and one of the drawbacks to using a smart phone.  We lose so much privacy. Our phones become cameras into our homes for us to be spied on.
I don't know what type of phone you have, if it is even a smart phone, but here is an example of an application that you can use to determine which applications are accessing your information and sending it out.
Permission Scanner - Android Apps on Google Play
Google just recently revamp their permissions geared to hide invasive applications that spy and send out your information without your knowledge.  Report says be aware of what your Android app does - CNET
Please continue to be mindful of the apps you download and the permissions you give.

  • How can you tell which cabinet you are connected t...

As the title says, how can you tell once installed.
the reason i ask is where i live there is only the bt-pcp and the drl-fttc cabinet and no others.
from what i heard is that both BT and DRL occupy the same fttc cabinet, and this would suggest so based on other information received.
yet from other information i'm hearing is that they don't and we're probably wired all the way back to the exchange which i would have thought was a bit odd seeing with 3 miles from exchange (as the crow flies).
so is it possible that they use the same cabs?

    hi,
yeh am on infinity now and so far working fine
had one disconnection but thing that was caused by outage as took router a few attempts to re-connect, but other than that my pppoe has only dropped when made a change on router which required it to restart.
now been connected for 8 days without dropping (usually dropped every weekend when on DR) so continuing to monitor.
the engineer advised was connected via the cabinet in street, but only cabinets are the bt-pcp and the dr-fttc cabinets, and AFAIK BT and DR share the cabinet from what I've been previously told, but then someone else has said they won't do that and the connection is probably one that is underground if there is no bt-pcp.
i'll send Dean a message just so i know for future as i know the bt-pcp cabinet my number is connected too.

  • Glossy vs. Non-Glossy Screen - How can you tell?

    Hi,
If someone came to you on the street with a MacBook Pro, how can you tell if he/she had a glossy or non-glossy screen? Is there something in System Preferences or something that tells you directly? Or do you have to tell by just looking?
    Thanks.

Only way is by looking. Just look at the dislay at an angle, and if you see a reflection it's glossy.

  • Can you tell if someone is logging on to your computer remotely?

can you tell if someone is logging on to your computer remotely?
can you tell is someone has downloaded dodgy programs to maybe spy on you?

you can effectively change your system password if you think this is happening. if you change it, they shouldn't have access to your computer however you never know.
some things that will give it away are deliberate mouse movements when you're not using the computer, the camera on your mbp to flash a green light meaning it's taking a picture or applications like iTeleport connect and other VNC type clients running in activity monitor.
There is an app called "hidden" that will trace your information (it's used to recover a stolen computer) but it's tell tail sign would be the camera turning on and off unexpectedly.
