There are some compatibility issues between the latest Flash player and some Firefox add-ons or settings. Could you see whether anything in these articles helps:

  • How come adobe flash player does not work on my macbook air

when on yahoo and i select to watch a video it doesn't play and any other website with a similar format.
But i have downloaded and installed adobe flash player but yet i am still experiencing these problems. Is there another way or am i just missing something?

If you can't install or update Flash, follow these instructions.
If you have installed the latest version of Flash, please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 8. Back up all data before making any changes.
    Step 1
You might have to log out or restart the computer before a Flash update takes effect.
    Step 2
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
and confirm. Close the window. Then select
               ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced ▹ Delete All...
In the sheet that opens, check the box marked
Delete All Site Data and Settings
then click Delete Data. Close the preference pane.
    Step 3
If you're only having trouble with YouTube videos, log in to YouTube and load this page. You may see a link with the text "Leave the HTML5 Trial." If so, click that link.
    Step 4
    a. If you get a warning of a "blocked" or "outdated" plug-in, then select the Security tab in the Safari preferences window. In the list of plugins on the left, there should be one—and only one—entry for "Adobe Flash Player," showing the same version number that you installed. Select that entry. On the right there will be a list of websites for which you have specifically allowed Flash, if any. It's normal for the list to be empty. Below that is a menu labeled
              When visiting other websites
From that menu, select either Allow or Ask.
    b. If you still get the alerts, then go back to the Flash Player preference pane and select the Advanced tab. Click Check Now. Quit and relaunch the browser.
    c. If the alerts still persist, triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources
Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
              Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open. Inside it, there should be a file named "XProtect.meta.plist". If that file is missing and you know why it's missing, restore it from a backup or copy it from another Mac running the same version of OS X. Otherwise, reinstall OS X.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    Step 5
In the Safari preferences window, select the Advanced tab and uncheck the box marked
              Stop plug-ins to save power
    Step 6
Open this folder as in Step 4:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Delete the following item, or anything with a similar name, if present:
              Flash Player (failing).plugin
You may be prompted for your login password.
    Step 7
Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from the domain "get.adobe.com". Don't click a link from any other website, including this one, because you can't trust links. They may be an attempt to trick you into installing malware masquerading as Flash. Type the address into the browser window. Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
    Step 8
If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked
              Allow (or Enable) plug-ins
    Then click the button marked
              Manage Website Settings...
if present and make sure that the website is not blocked for Flash.
    Step 9
    Select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.

  • Adobe Flash Player crashes whenever accessing settings

Your operating system & version: Windows 8.1
Your web browser(s) & version:  Mozilla Firefox 33.1.1
Your Flash Player version:  Shockwave Flash 15.0.0.223
Explain your problem in step-by-step detail if possible:  When accessing the settings of a flash-player window, by right-clicking on the window and selecting "settings," or by simply opening up a webpage that automatically requests access to webcam settings, adobe flash-player will invariably crash.  Sometimes, this crash does not happen immediately and I'm allowed to access some of the settings, and other times I'm not.   This seems to be coorelated with adobe flash player accesssing my webcam.
A direct link to a page that demonstrates the problem:  An example of a page that allow me to access some of the settings before crashing:  The Pituitary Gland: Anatomy, Circulation, Hormones, and More! - YouTube An example of a page that crashes upon accessing the settings at all Twitch and an example of a page that crashes simply upon loading due to requesting access to settings Omegle: Talk to strangers!

Firefox will hang if you try to open the right-click context menu on Flash Player in Windows 8.1.  It's a known issue.  It's unclear at the moment whether its our bug or Mozilla's.  The bug is assigned to a developer for investigation in the Flash Player 16 timeframe.  Firefox is killing the Flash process, which causes the crashed plug-in dialog to be displayed, but it's really a hang, and the player is terminated safely.
In the meantime, you'll need to use Chrome or Internet Explorer as workaround.

  • Adobe Flash Player crashes on Firefox (NetSteam, Stratus)

    Flash Player version: 11,8,800,97 (last)
    OS: Windows 7
    Browser: Mozilla Firefox 22.0 (last)
Problem: Adobe Flash Player crashes on Firefox, when runnig project with such elements like NetSteam, Stratus.
When problem happen: Only when some streamed data is incoming, after random time. Time before crash can be 4 minutes, it also can be 2 minutes. Memory leaks or disk space usage didn't change and don't seem to be a reason. Problem happen when I was testing my voice chat together with few people. At one moment it crashed at few computers at the same time (which were using Firefox). Then we had luck with repeating this problem several times - simply by asking one of us to play any music into Microphone. Then Firefox Flash Player always crashing.
Here you can see repeating of problem: http://youtu.be/BdkoQxloyDA
It also show that it does not crashes if nobody is sending audio stream in created group, but it does when somebody is sending audio stream. In that video I'm repeating problem by myself, with help of one computer and 2 tabs of Flash Player. First is running in Chrome, second in Firefox. Player in Chrome is used to send system sound from speakers to peer group. Player in Firefox is listening and playing everything he hears (this is why I set it's volume to near 1).
    Here is .swf :
    http://www.plazmaburst2.com/vchat/vchat.swf?1375377116&l=ANY_LOGIN_NAME&g=b1a2e6f17f339b63 6382b2d6cccadb21
It's very simplified voice chat which only displays streams which are being heared. It's adding " is talking" when stream is sending data. "g" parameter is a group name, I think you can choose any, but tests were made with this one.
Hope it helps. If you will need .fla file - just tell me.

Your issue is distinct from the original poster's issue about a crash on Mac.  I've branched this out to a new thread so that we're not confusing everyone.
Firefox on Win8 isn't very stable.  We're collaborating with Mozilla on improvements, and my test results with the daily development builds are really promising, but it will be a few more weeks before they actually make it to production releases.
In the meantime, you're way better off using IE or Chrome.

  • Why does Adobe Flash player crash so much?

This is not the first version of FireFox that Adobe Flash player crashes on. It happens 2, sometimes 3 times a day, my browser locks up for 45 seconds or so then I see the "Adobe Flash Player has crashed" yet again.
I've read the forums, tried suggestions but it continues to crash.
I want to keep using Firefox, but I'll have to switch to chrome and just use firefox for the better firebug.
I'm sure this is adobes issue and not firefox, but there's not much I can do.

Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.

  • Adobe Flash player crashes constantly

Adobe Flash player crashes in all browsers. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration, expanding memory storage, downloading older versions etc, etc.  I have tried IE10, Firefox 17, Chrome, Avant, and Safari, all with the same issues. I am running an I3 processor at 2.93ghz on an ASUS motherboard, 16gig of RAM, 2gig NVidia graphics card. Any ideas?
Sorry should add that I'm running Windows 8 Pro

Usually a complete fresh install resolves this.
Download the following files by right clicking and selecting "Save Link as"
    Flash Player Uninstaller
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Save ALL files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT RUN anything yet.
    Reboot your system.
BEFORE opening anything else, go to your Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLER to remove all instances of Flash Player.
    Next, run the ActiveX Installer.
Lastly, run the Installer for other browsers.
Once Flash Player is installed go to: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp
Download BOTH files, the one on the right FIRST by right clicking and selecting "Save target as"... the other by clicking and following the steps to dwonload the  ActiveX installer.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

  • 'To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.0 or greater is installed'?

I have recently downloaded the newest version of flash player (version 11.9.900.117) and it is working fine with things like Youtube. However some websites that use flash player are coming up with the error message 'To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.0 or greater is installed'? I dont understand why this is happening as the version I have is 11.9.900.117 for Internet Explorer?? Please help this is driving me crazy!!!

Exactly the same problem with me, and (apart from basic fix issues like disabling ActiveX filtering, etc) no-one seems to know a solution.
    OS: Win 7 64 bit
    Browser: IE 10
Flash v: 11.9.900.117 (but problem continued after reverting to earlier versions with proper clean uninstalls of 11.9).
I do note that at around the time the trouble started, Google Chrome did some (background) updates, including its embedded version of this latest flash. But if the others (above) don't also have Chrome, that is clearly not the issue. Perhaps it's a registry issue?

  • To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 11.1.0 or greater is installed

Hi, I have this message on almsot all sites ( sites of videos or cam):
To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 11.1.0 or greater is installed.
I have the last version 11 8 800 94. I have try to uninstall and reinstall but its change nothing.
I have windows 7 and 64 bits exploitation.
Hope somebody can help me to resolve this problem , thanks in advance for your help.

I had the same problem on Safari.  After the 11.8 update, my browser stopped loading flash content.  I solved the problem by completely deinstalling flash, rebooting the system, and then installed the previous version- 11.7.  All is back to normal on my system.  Perhaps the problem is 11.8?  Good luck.

  • How To Prevent Adobe Flash Player crashes

What causes Adobe Flash Player to crash and what can I do to prevent it?  Thanks.

Well going by your standards then the blackberry playbook is just as useless since there is no native contacts app or email app.  If you want that you will also have to have a blackberry phone that is capable of tethering using the blackberry bridge app (if allowed by AT&T and Verizon since that would be another fee technically you might be charged for since you will be tethering your phone to you tablet).
Funny how I and many others are able to get by using the iPad and we don't have flash.  The majority of people if the want to view flash will try Skyfire, iSwifter, Cloudbrowse, or will look to see if there is an app already dedicated to that thing you want to watch, like ABC Player or CNN.
Hey if doesn't work for you then it doesn't work for you.  I am not trying to come off as an Apple fanboy, just trying to make sure you are informed about your product and what options are out there.
Would it be nice if flash was allowed native......sure.  But it isn't so you can either get rid of the product, get an app that supports it (we are talking about spending $2 - $4) or go buy something else and hope your happy with it as well.  You can't please everyone.  Apple has chosen their stance and as you can see by sales numbers they aren't hurting.  Infact i just read about a week or so ago on Gizmodo.com that alot of the other tablet making companies are cutting back on the number of units they will be making due to low sales or projected low sales (you can thank the iPad sales for that).  Your one purchase isn't going to impact them that much.  Instead, someone else will be standing in line behind you ready and happy to get their apple product.

  • Adobe Flash Player crashes in all browsers

    Hi,
I have had issues with playing videos before. They would constantly freeze (while the sound continued), it was like I was watching stop motion videos all the time. This was a recent problem that started happening within the last month or so. I got really fed up with it so I looked for a fix for it on google. The result of that search was: I was told the videos might be freezing so often because of the fact that I had two adobe flash players in operation on google chrome. I was told I had to try turning one off in order to get the player to work properly. I turned off one then the other and then both to no avail.
    BUT
then the flash player refused to work on ANY video. I figured it might just be Chrome but it happened in Firefox too. (I'm afraid to update internet explorer because I don't want it to not work there). I keep getting the "shockwave player crashed" error message in Chrome and the equivalent in Firefox. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling adobe but that did nothing.
My operating system is Windows Vista 32bit, I used both Firefox and Chrome web browsers both with the latest versions, I have the latest version of the adobe flash player.
At this point in time I can't get any site that runs on Adobe flash player to work and no videos that run on adobe flash player work. My problem is officially a whole lot worse.
    HELP!!!!!!!!

I'm having the exact same problem.
Until today, I haven't had any problems with flash, and then, this morning, I turned on my computer, went to youtube.com and the page almost immediately froze.  A message popped up saying that flash had become unresponsive and asked if I wanted to close it.
It does this on any website that tries to load flash content.  I've tried both Chrome and IE.  I'm running Win7 Home Premium 64-bit on a Compaq Presario CQ5300Y PC.
Everything is completely up to date.
    UPDATE:
Last night I ran a virus scan.  3 viruses were found so I quarantined them.  I turned off my computer for a couple of minutes and when I turned it back on, everything had been fixed.  Not only is flash working again, a problem I was having with Skype is also fixed.  So if anyone else is having this problem you might want to do a virus scan.

  • Adobe flash player crashes or hangs!

Ok, so whilst using Firefox, lately adobe flash player has been crashing upon opening a YouTube video. This could be when i click a video and the new page opens and freezes, or when I actually get to the video but it then crashes. Alongside this, sometimes the videos are delayed to start, as in the video starts bufferng but doesn't actually start playing until later.
I've tried many proposed solutions but none seem to have worked
    (Tried:
    New profile
    Clean Install
    Clear cache,cookies, etc..
    Disable plugins
    Addons (video without flash, etc...)
Protected mode (for FF and Flash)
Virus scans (had nothing bad that was scanned)
    Disable/ Enable hardware acceleration
Updating Flash (i'm using the latest version... 15.0.0.233)
Alongside this, i've tried using Chrome which also gives similar results, crash, hanging or the video delay at the start.
    What could be wrong?
Heres a crash report i submitted (the latest one)
    https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/a34c35d8-0588-4dd1-8ae9-7e0412141122

disabling flash player seems to stop the problem (should do in theory, anyway). I've disabled it and haven't had any freezes or hangs ( as it should be expected) but videos still delay a bit before they actually play, they stream and stuff but just doesn't play instantly. could this be down to my internet (im using WiFi). i assume by disabling the flash, youtube is using html5? or this other plugin i have called "shockwave for director 12.1.4.154". either way, i'm glad it doesn't crash and freeze, but getting rid of that strange delay before the video starts would be amazing.
all the plugins i have on FF.
