How come Apple still sells the iPod classic?
It's beautiful but I think people like touch screens more?
it is all personal preference. if you like loss less format and have a big library then the classic is the way to go. the ipod touch use lots of space for built in apps that most of us dont use (takes up music space).

Does apple still cover the iPod touch 2 gen ???
Does apple still cover the iPod touch 2 gen
What do you mean by cover?
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.
Apple - iPod Repair price
However, the cost may not be worth it for a 2G iPod.
To more easily find compatible apps:
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
Starting when iOS 7 was releases, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists. -
Does Apple still sell the Snowleopard upgrade for $29?
Hello Folks,
Does Apple still sell the Snowleopard upgrade for $29? If so, does anyone have a link. I can't find it.
I only need it for my iMac. My laptop came with Snowleopard. I'm thinking up upgrading to Mt. Lion if it seems OK and also concerned about security since they are not doing security updates for Leopard any more.
Thanks!I think it may only be available from Apple Phone Sales now.

Does Apple still sell the old computer chargers?
I have a macbook pro mid-2009, the charger broke and I am desperately in need of a new one. In the meantime I'm sharing one with a relative. Does the apple store still sell the old computer chargers? The ones before they changed the plug size ( i.e everything before iPhone 5).
The iPhone has nothing to do with it. But yes, you can still buy these chargers:

Do Apple still sell the iPad 1 in store? (Bondi)
I would really like to buy an ipad 1 only because i dont need it for a long time and i really dont want to spend so much money on it.
Many thanks. They still sell the iPad 2, though, and depending on the country you're in may offer refurbished units through the Apple Store. For the US, see:
http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipad
Otherwise you'll need to look to a private seller for a used iPad 1. Note that the iPad 1 cannot run iOS 6, so make sure the apps you wish to run will work under iOS 5.1.1 before you buy an iPad.

How drop-resistant/durable is the iPod Classic?
How durable is the 7th gen Ipod Classic? I recently dropped my Ipod 160 gb classic twice on the same day! Once at Best Buy, it fell out of my pocket while playing Xbox Kinect like two feet onto the carpet, and then agian while getting out of my truck not reliseing my ipod was on my lap, and it fell face planting 5 feet onto the driveway. I can't tell if there is any problems with it, but it still plays. I was woundering how drop-resistant/durable the Ipod classic, and would it effect the sound quality.
I'v used my iPod (5G... just upgraded to classic) for the past 4-5 yrs working out 5 to 6 times a week. I invested in an armband (with one of those rubber iPod cases) and I have never had to replace it. I have never had issues with the iPod malfunctioning while running or lifting weights. My battery finally died and rather than replacing it I decided to just invest in the latest model. I like the variety.

Does Apple still sell the original iphone?
Does Apple or AT&T still sell the original iphone? I don't want the 3G. I want the previous one. I don't want to buy it on ebay. Please tell me if I can still get it from Apple.
caveolin,
Apple stopped selling the original iPhone in May. However, AT&T was still selling refurbished by AT&T original iPhones for a while, you may want to check with AT&T Stores in your area to see if they still have them in stock.
Hope this helps,

Does apple still sell the iSight?
I have a G5 tower and don't have a camera built into my monitor and was looking to buy the iSight. But I can't find it on the applr store website. Do they still sell them?
Thanks for any help.Welcome to Apple Discussions, WishboneJG
Short answer: "No" (at least not in the USA)
My search of iSight discussions yielded this recent post that should "help":
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5022721
Because Discussions Searches are currently so slow, I quote the relevant part:
... Apple no longer sells the external iSight.
If you want a real external iSight, you will have to look for used or NOS (new, old-stock) iSight at computer or electronic stores.
You can also often find external iSights, including some advertised as new, at internet auction sites. However, even if the iSight you are buying is a NOS iSight, it may not be covered by Apple Warranty. If the seller is not providing you service guarantees or warranty, you may be interested in considering Apple's iSight Service: Frequently Asked Questions.
Moreover, if you "buy one 2nd hand", you may want ask whether the connectors, cables, and mounts that meet your needs are included.
Other than for software like iMovie, which requires that external cams provide Firewire DV signals, any of the new UVC cams will work when used with Mac OS X 10.4.10. This is true for any of the new UVC cams, whether Logitech or other brand. The critical thing is that the cam must support UVC.
For more info about UVC, see this post in the "Webcams other than iSight" thread.
If you are looking for specifically for Firewire alternatives to external iSight, take a look at Unibrain, iSweet, iBOT, or others that claim compatibility with Mac OS X and the apps you want to use with your webcam.
If you post back for more info, please include what Mac OS you are using, what apps you want to use with your webcam, and your country location.

How to store content on the iPod classic
Dear all,
I've got a small problem.
Oh, at first I wish you all Merry Christmas.
Now, back to the issue :-)
Not all my films can be played on my iPod classic. Only those that I bought in iTunes Store. All the other, that I usually convert to format called "Apple Universal" can be played on Apple TB, iMac, iPad, but not on my iPod classic. Only if I convert movies to the other format. Smaller, with les pixels. But when I bought something via the shop, the same film can be played everywhere. And I do not want to convert the films double. Once for iPod and second for anything else. Plllls, is there any way how to do it?
And if no, is there a way how to even store movies on the iPod, withot playing in on it. I would like to use it ony when I go for holiday as a media storage. In a hotel room connect it via AV cable to the TV and only on TV play it.
Kind Regards for any advice in this matter.
MartinYou remove it from the list of items in iTunes set to sync with the iPod, or if syncing it manually, select the iPod in the iTunes source list, find that music, and press Delete.

I've had my trusty Classic for nearly five years, and have taken excellent care of it. However, it is starting to show its age. Album art has begun to disappear. Some songs have mysteriously not played at all, until I exit, go to the main menu, and come back to it. I would have long ago upgraded to an iPod Touch, but the amount of music and videos I have would be too much for even TWO 64 GB iPods. The only time I listen to the iPod is when I'm driving, and since I drive for a living, I like to have my entire music collection with me at all times.
Since the 64GB Touch model has come down in price, now would seem to be a good time to introduce a newer model with a greater storage capacity. I'm sure quite a few consumers would be willing to pay the extra price such a model would demand. Aside from the higher cost, I see no reason why this can't be done.No one knows but Apple.
