how come when i log onto the verizon wireless web site to pay my bill, i have to sign my user name and password every time ? i am not getting the firefox pop up asking me if i want firefox to save my password for this site. so how do i get firefox to remember my log in information for my verizon wireless website ? thank you.

This would be verizonwireless.com, correct? Their site requests that browsers should not save information for its login form.

I belong to several publishers website, and I often have to access more than one author's account, which requires that I use their user name (usually an email address) and their password. In the past, whenever I double clicked on the space for user name, I would see all of those user names appear that I use for that site. When I clicked on the one I wanted, the stored password would appear in the password window, and I could log in. Now, it only shows me the most recent user name that I have used. I don't understand how to make it do what it used to do. Any ideas?

page would automatically come up. Now I must enter the user name and password every time to access the personalized start page. tried to find some settings that needed changing but no luck. is this a problem with iOS 8 Earthlink referred me to apple they could not help any help here

It may be that AutoFill is disabled in Safari, or that Private Browsing is on.
Go to Settings > Safari > Passwords & AutoFill and make sure that Names and Passwords is on.
Go to your Home screen and open Safari. If Safari is black or dark instead of white or gray, Private Browsing is on. Safari doesn't save account names and passwords when Private Browsing is on. To turn off Private Browsing:
On iPad, tap the the plus icon in the upper-right corner of the Safari page, then tap Private in the lower-left corner.
On iPhone and iPod touch, tap in the lower-right corner of the Safari page, then tap Private in the lower-left corner.

Firefox will not save my user name and password for one of my sites. How can I fix this problem. It is getting annoying having to reenter every time I check this site. Is there a solution.

You can create a bookmark with the JavaScript code via a right-click on the "Remember Password" link on the squarefree.com website and choose "Bookmark This Link" and select the "Bookmarks Toolbar" as the destination folder for easy access.

There are no problems with receiving or sending email through Mail. I did change me email password several days ago but have no problems sending/receiving since then.

I fixed the problem. I opened Preferences in ICal and entered my new password. No more pop-ups

The AirPort Extreme does not have a User Name, but it does have a device name and device password, which you may have already tried.
There is also a Wireless Network Name and Wireless Network Password for the AirPort Extreme, which might be what the Slingbox is looking for if you are trying to connect it to your wireless network.
There are no other "user names" or "passwords" on the AirPort Extreme.
You established the device name, device password, wireless network name and wireless network password when you originally configured the AirPort Extreme.
If you cannot remember these, you will need to perform a Soft Rest to reset everything. Follow the instructions in this Apple support document:

Firefox 3.6.8 is not remembering my user name and password

This has been happening since I bought my new iMac with snow leopard and downloaded Firefox. This does not happen with Safari. I have checked the forums and mozzilazine and google to no avail.

* Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
* You must allow that cookie (Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions), especially for secure websites and if you let cookies expire when Firefox closes
* Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Try to clear the cookies from sites that cause problems. 
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. 
You can rename (or delete) cookies.sqlitecookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

you can try to enter with safe mode - un this mode you dont need username and password and then create new user name
you have to enter the Xcellerator file in
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\IntegrationServer\Tomcat\webapps\B1iXcellerator
and find the part of the safe mode

I apparently have forgotten the user name and password for the parental control feature in itunes. How do I recover the information or unlock the controls?

I tried entering the same information as my computer user name and password and it does not work for locking Parental controls. What is weird is I can Log on to Itunes and my computer but it will not lock parental controls. What I am trying to do is keep anyone from changing the settings. Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.
Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?

Sorry if this posted twice I am NEW. I thought I could just go back to what I typed and add to it. Mom had a computer it died they are putting in the old drive on the new computer as a slave. What are the steps I need to do to transfer ALL the bookmarks, user names and passwords onto the new computer. We will have 3 desktops do we have to do the same steps on each desktop? To keep my iCal up to date on two computers, I export an Archive in one and import it to the other. Yes, I know I should use the Cloud, but humour me.
Export of iCal from my MacBook Air (OS 10.7.5) no longer works when imported to my desktop (OS 10.6.8). It returns an error saying "The server did not recognize your user name or password for account “Gmail.” Make sure you enter them correctly."
After dismissing this dialogue box twice (it offers no other options, iCal crashes.
I've turned off the option on my MacBook that asks to use my Gmail account, but since I can no longer launch iCal on my desktop, it can't import new data. How can I clean out the brain of iCal on the desktop so that it will open -- blank -- and perhaps accept a new version of my iCal data?
