How come I can only turn on my Mac using Safe Mode?

When i turn on my MacBook Pro, the screen freezes on a white screen with a loading symbol and never completely turns on. I have to perform a Safe Boot by holding the shift key in order to turn the Mac on.

If you need to reinstall Mac OS X 10.8.x (there is no 10.8.6 yet, by the way), restart your Mac, hold down the Option key so you see all the bootable partitons, and boot to the Recovery Partition. From there you can reinstall Mountain Lion. You will need a good Internet connection.

How come I can only get 200 of my 700 songs to show on my display in my new truck?

My operating system has nothing to do with my question but I was asked to enter the info. I have a 4th Gen iPod & do not know why I can only get 200 of my 700+ songs to show on the display in my new truck. All my songs are from purchased CD's or iTunes. The dealer of course has no idea why this is happening. Please help.

How come I can only paste 1 email at a time into ipad mail?

I am trying to paste a comma delimited list of emails ([email protected], [email protected]) into the "to" field on the native mail app on my iPad 2.
Is there anyway to keep it from combining the pasted email addresses as one contact?

I went to restore my phone today because it was having some issues. After the restore, itunes could not recognize the device! Now when i try to restore and update like it asks me to, i cant even get past the restoring process. How come you can't stream photos from a primary library that is "paired"?

I think someone else commented about this as well but I never really saw an answer as to why Apple doesn't allow this. How come you can only stream from a shared or secondary library but for a primary or "paired" libray you have to sync photos. If you can stream from a primary it is not working for me.

It's behaving correctly for you, you cannot stream photos from a primary library. Why I don't know, the software has gone through several stages and various options have been offered, so I can only assume it's not an oversight but a deliberate restriction for the better.

Would love to know if this is possible. Found forums dating back years asking exactly the same thing, no solutions. And I do not want to change my headset (Sennheiser MM-50), or use the onboard mic (which sounds like you are using your Mac in a wind tunnel once the fans kick in).

I found this bit of info about the way Nike+ works on the iPhone and iPod Touches versus the way it works with other model iPods.
Your iPod touch or iPhone 3GS or later wirelessly sends workout data to nikeplus.com from wherever you are on the road. So right after your run, you can track your progress and analyze your performance. If you walk or run with iPod nano, workout data is sent to nikeplus.com when you connect it to your Mac or PC.

You must surely be able to add and subtract songs on specific playlist?

I fixed this issue (with help from tech support) and it involved several things.
After adding a song to iTunes, right-click on the song in iTunes and select "Update iTunes Match."
OR go to the iTunes menu-->Store-->Update iTunes Match.
Maybe that's the reason, it just hadn't updated to the cloud.
OR maybe it's not a high-enough bitrate file. This happens to me because most of my tunes are home-recorded.
Sometimes converting to .mp3 or Create AAC version might work. (You do this with a right-click in iTunes, and then you will want to remove the original file from iTunes.)
There is an iTunes Preferences setting, under General Preferences called Import Settings. Try setting it to AAC Encoder and iTunes Plus. That (I think) causes imports to be slightly better quality.

Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.

Help! I just got this Lion, and SO many changes & not necessarily for the better !
I went to the Apple icon, but "Software Updates" did not show ... though I had deferred installing some updates ...
Finally it showed up, I clicked on it, saw the updates to do - BUT when I clicked on install - the "box" that usually shows the updates & how long to install - just disappeared! I can't get to it to see what's next. (I have to leave soon & will turn off the mac)
What's happening? How come I can't see the updates as they are installed, & how much time it will take?
How do I know IF they have been installed? Is this the "new Normal" for Lion? Or is there a glitch in my mac somewhere?
How about updates you download from Apple (not bought) - they go to Downloads on the Sideboard, but are they installed automatically, & put where they belong too? Is there no more restart, etc.?
- I just went to Systems Preference, to see the "Installed Software" - shows they were ... but don't I have to restart anymore? Are all updates now automatically placed where they belong?

When it was stolen around the afternoon, i could only trie to locate it in the evening.
They must have done already something to avoid the locate my iphone app, beceause it is
