I have no data plan but I use to could go to star bucks and use wifi. But recently for some reason it says I am connected to the hot spot but I can't use the the internet at all and it's really bugging me so I am hoping someone could really help me out. Please and Thank You!

How come I can't access itunes when i could yesterday? When I hooked up my iphone to sync it asked me to reset phone to factory settings! I don't think so! Then when I tried to download update it won't do it.

On my iPod touch I don't have a spotlight search icon or option available. Also under my settings and general there is no "restriction" options or settings. I reset the iPod several times and that doesn't work.
The thing is the music that is on my iPod is not all in my iTunes library so I can never sync automatically. Try a reset. Reset the iPhone by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

How come I can't access Facebook with my gmail account?

Along with a couple other sites, I can't access Facebook with my gmail account. I'm on a mac, and even if I use different browsers (safari and google chrome), the page never opens. It consistently says "the connection was interrupted." I've tried everything, including allowing all cookies, deleting cookies, changing firewall settings, etc. However, it's not a problem on my Parallels (on the same computer). The weird thing is my friends with hotmail or yahoo facebook accounts can access the site. Help!

How come I can't access an app I purchased yesterday with my apple id?

I purchased some software for my Macbook pro. I run a dual platform and had to go over to "the dark side" (the Windows side). When I came back and tried to use the app (called "Timing") it asked for my apple id. I put it in, it says "can't authenticate." So, I clicked "forgot" and changed it and STILL I can't log in.
Is this an issue with my application or the itunes store? Is there anyway I can stop this nonsense and start with a "clean slate?" Managing all these passwords is insane, but I try and change them for security. I write them down and track them, but for some reason, this go-round, I cannot get access for this one app.

I emailed Microsofts MSN tech support about a week ago because I have the same problem (continuous refresh before returning to login page). They quickly responded saying they were aware of it, and would resolve it 'soon'.
I noticed that it all started when microsoft launched their new 'live login' service for passport, so I guess they have to do some post launch patch ups for us safari/mac users.

You are correct on the fact that you can delete a song directly from your iPhone by swiping from right to left over the song:
Remove a song that’s been downloaded. Swipe left, then tap Delete.

If the song was purchased from the iTunes Store and has a cloud icon to the right of it, it is being streamed from iTunes in the Cloud and not actually on your device. You can hide the song by accessing the iTunes Store on the computer:
To hide your purchases
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.
Go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased from the Quick Links section on the right side of the iTunes Store.
Choose a content type by clicking on Music, TV Shows, Apps, or Books from top.
Hover your cursor over the item you want to hide.
You will see an "X" either to the right or left top corner of the item.
Click the "X" to hide that item. A confirmation dialog will appear once you click the "X."

If you are doing this on the iPad, try accessing your account in the app store. Tap the featured tab and you can access your ID in the lower left corner.
If that doesn't work, perhaps you can be a bit more specific in what you have tried already.

You must surely be able to add and subtract songs on specific playlist?

I fixed this issue (with help from tech support) and it involved several things.
After adding a song to iTunes, right-click on the song in iTunes and select "Update iTunes Match."
OR go to the iTunes menu-->Store-->Update iTunes Match.
Maybe that's the reason, it just hadn't updated to the cloud.
OR maybe it's not a high-enough bitrate file. This happens to me because most of my tunes are home-recorded.
Sometimes converting to .mp3 or Create AAC version might work. (You do this with a right-click in iTunes, and then you will want to remove the original file from iTunes.)
There is an iTunes Preferences setting, under General Preferences called Import Settings. Try setting it to AAC Encoder and iTunes Plus. That (I think) causes imports to be slightly better quality.

The iPad 1, coming up on three years since it was introduced, has been given two major and a number of minor upgrades to iOS, more than many tablet manufactures provide. The iPad 1's hardware just can't effectively support many of the features in iOS 6. So I don't think that it's particularly unfair for Apple to no longer provide updates. And yes, I do own and manage a number of iPad 1s.

How come I can't use the back gesture with my magic mouse on certain applications in Lion? I figured out that in Safari i have to use a 1 finger swipe to go back a page instead of 2 fingers like i used to do in Snow Leopard. But apps like iTunes and iPhoto and i can't do that. Any ideas? is there a setting im missing to make this work? It works in Safari but not any other applications, so im assuming theres no setting for this. Just want to know if this is just a bug that will be fixed in the next update or if its something I can fix now. Any help would be appreciated because its kind of annoying. Other than this minor issue I love Lion. Full screen apps are unbelievable.

Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.
