How come I took a video and there's no sound when I play it back?
I went to the drake concert last night and took a lot of videos, but when I go to watch them on my phone no sound sound comes out!

I would be concerned too if there was no audio coming from the speakers on my iPad. I found an article with steps to troubleshoot audio issue. The title of the article says iPhone, but most of the steps are still relevant to the iPad. You can skip any steps that apply only to the iPhone:

I have just upgraded to 10.8 on my macbook pro and now I can't access itunes, videos and there is no sound - anyone help?
It is an old macbook pro probably 6yo with the back lit keys - not under applecare anymore obviously. I downloaded the upgrade last night which took quite a while longer than it should have.

The video and sound was working on my computer two days ago (and has ALWAYS worked on my computer since purchasing it in 2010) but now for some reason I can't play video and there is no sound. I updated software today. Still sound & video not working.
Please help.One of the following steps should help.
1. Install Adobe Flash Player.

Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Enable Plug-ins
Safari > Preferences > Security
Web Content:
Click in the box for "Enable Plug-ins".
3. Check whether you are currently in YouTube HTML 5 trial.

At the bottom left of the page uncheck the box for
"You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
4. Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Uncheck the boxes next to all items.
Check the box next to "Remove all website data".
Click "Reset".
5. Turn off Extensions/Plug-ins if any that may interfere with Flash working properly.
Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Just shot a video with my pocket camera. Downloaded to IPhoto. When I played it back, it was totally out of time? is there any way to fix this? It is an MP4 file which opens in Quick Time Player.

Hi, before 3 months when I start to play any video or music to listen, I could not hear any sound. if I want to play video as handsfree mode it s not possible to hear any sound other problem is it s not turning off. When you want to turning off it s restarting...please help me.
Quicktime or Quicktime Pro (which iTunes uses) don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.

You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.

I recorded videos on my blackberry playbook, however when I play those same videos on my playbook there is audio and video. When I play the videos on my Mac (Mac Mini, running Snow Leopard) the videos work fine except the audio is dropped. The strange thing is that up until about 3 weeks ago, I could play the video and audio on my Mac. Only videos recorded in the last 2 or 3 weeks will not play properly on my Mac
Does anyone know how to fix this ?!What are you using to play the videos on your Mac, Quicktime X? Try VLC Media Player or MPlayer OS X Extended.

I am trying to create home movies, and do not have sound on the final disc. The sound is there in imovie and after sharing to idvd. This has only happened a couple of times before and I have made a lot of movies. I have just gone through about 8 discs, all with no audio when I play them!!!

I do not have SOUND after downloading IOS7. I can use earbuds, but no sound when not plugged in. I cannot play music, hear a movie on iTunes or Netflix. Sound works for incoming calls, msgs, etc, but NO sound for music or movies. HELP!

I used Mpeg Streamclip last night to take the .mov files to DV, but same thing I put into iDVD and made a disk image. Once all done i opened the image and the videos were there, but no audio.
This first dvd had 2 of the videos in it the totaled about 90mins. I will try using the higher format. Also with having MPEG streamclip now, I guess I should go back to the .WMV files and try to converting form them? instead of the .mov files. -

This only happens every once in a while. I've also noticed this only happens when I swich tracks. This is one of the most bizarre issues I've ever come across. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Avoid spaces or any additional character. Finally, make sure that in your work computer you are using the same username and passwords as the one at home, just to make sure that the Sync key corresponds to this account. -
I took all my video with my iPhone turned the wrong way. When I view it on my pc it's turned on its side. How can I rotate the video and crop it?
Try plugging it into a computer with iTunes opened. If you see anything that says restore, say no.
Sometimes these issues resolve themselves when you connect the device to iTunes.
