How come my Deskjet 3050 wont print wirelessly?

Alright so here's the problem.
First of all I just bought a Deskjet 3050 All-In-One J610 Series printer on ebay. It came today and I tried to set it up wirelessly and through the USB. It works fine with the the laptop (we use it as a home computer) its a Windows Vista 64-bit.
Now everytime when the printer is not connected to our router, it shows up on the little connect to wireless networks on this computer, my netbook, and my Ipod Touch. But whenever i connect it to the router via WPS and via PIN number, it doesnt show it up on anywhere. I tried to do the setup on screen instructions CD but it says that it is connected but its not showing up or something and it says that I have to connect with the printer's IP address. And it said something about a warning saying that if you connect it like this, then if the ip address changes i would have to do a bunch of crap that i dont feel like doing.
Is there any possible way that i can fix this???? i would love to print stuff from my netbook.

Hello lake5pilot
If you have not already please try the following article. It should help with the issue. Especially the part in the guide where you set a static IP on the printer. Even upon reconnecting it should stay the same. I hope it works well for you.

    Hey Scoobydo,
    1. You can download the HP ePrint Home & Biz app to your iPhone4 from the Apps store.
    2. Now install the app.
    3. Now you can pull up a document or a photo and select print.
    4. The App should see your printer if you are on the same network.

The Airprint printer must be on the same local network (LAN) for Airprint to work. You cannot print to your home printer using the WiFi at Tim Horton's.

Nope, it's still says it's not compatible with my device. This is from the Google Play Store in my desktop web browser, as well as Google Play Store Android app. I tried clearing the Play Store cache as well but it did not help.

  • Envy 110 wont print wirelessly

I moved to a new home and now my Envy wont print wirelessly. I can print via eprint.
I use both an XP laptop and an iPad 1. My ipad and my iphone cannot see the Envy as an Air Printer on my network.
I do also have a Belkin router on my network. I did not have this in my old home. I am suspecting that the router is the problem.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Yeah, Belkin routers can cause problems.
Let's set a static IP address and external DNS for the printer:
    - Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
    - Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
    - Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
    - On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
    - Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
    - Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
    - Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS.
    - Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

  • Deskjet 3050 J610a - Unexpected wireless connection problem.

    Running:
    MacOSX 10.7.4
    HP Software: HP_Lion_Ink_SW_v12.13.17
Printer: Deskjet 3050 J610a had been working perfectly through wireless connection from a
MacBook5,1 Intel Core 2 Duo, while I had been using HP Software HP_Installer_DJF4100_v9.7.1, that was *not* meant for this printer, but I could 'ADD" the printer Deskjet 3050 via System Preferences, through HP Socket,
Looking [unwisely] for a more "functional"  configuration, I looked up HP support and found that a specific software had been released for computers running "Lion".
So I uninstalled the previous DJF4100 software, restarted the computer, and installed the new software and drivers for Lion as indicated above.
Now the printer Deskjet 3050 J610a shows up in the computer's network under 'Devices"  as
"HPJ610a.047DED", Network Type:Computer-to-Computer. It is also detected with "
Security:None", whereas my whole home Wi-Fi network is encrypted with WPA/WPA2 Personal.
I could of course regress to the previous software and configuration, but before doing that I would like to understand why this new software that has been released by HP for Mac computers running Lion is behaving in such a way, why the printer shows as a stand alone device (which it never did before).
As I said, before I regress to the previous configuration, using a software that originally is not the one required by the printer, neither by the computer's operating system, I welcome all information and suggestions.
    I need that wireless connection!
    Thanks in advance.

  • Deskjet 1512 Wont print

I just purcheased a Deskjet 1512 and set it up, and it's not printing(from my laptop)(MacBookAir). It will print the "Test Page" perfectly, but not anything from my laptop. I've went online, did everything i have found, downloaded the "newest drivers" and everything, and it still wont print. Please help, thank you.

    Hey @JacobGuidry,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with resolving the issue that you're experiencing when trying print from your Mac OS X 10.10 computer to your HP Deskjet 1512 All-in-One Printer. Even though you have downloaded and installed the latest drivers for your Deskjet it does sound like there is a driver or software conflict occuring between your Deskjet and your Mac. Can I please have you follow the steps below to correct this issue.
Step 1: Reset the Print System:
To start, I am going to have you Reset the Print System on your Mac as it is important that we have a nice clean slate to work with for troubleshooting. Please click here for instructions on how to perform the Reset. When the website opens follow the steps under 'Resetting the printing system in OS X Lion.' This Reset will remove every printer from your Mac. However, it does not uninstall the printers. Therefore, should you use other printers on this Mac, once the Reset is complete simply ensure that the printers are connected via a USB Cable or Network connected and (+) Add them back in. Do not add your HP Deskjet back in at this time.
Once the reset is complete, please proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Uninstall Drivers and Software:
Next, please click here for steps on how to properly uninstall your printer. Once the site opens select the dropdown for 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8, and OS X v10.9' and follow the appropriate steps to complete the uninstall process.
Once the uninstall is complete, please continue on.
Step 3: Verify and Repair your Disk Permissions on the Mac:
Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    Go to the Utilities Folder
    Open the Disk Utility
Select the Hard Drive volume you are using (usually on the left)
    Select Verify Disk Permissions
Once that process is done, select Repair Disk Permissions
Step 4: Check for Apple Updates:
    Go to Apple
    Select System Preferences
    Select Software Update
    Click Update Now
    Install your available updates
    Restart your computer
    Step 5: Install Device:
Please click here to download the drivers for your printer
Once the download is complete please follow the onscreen prompts to reinstall your printer
Once your HP Deskjet is successfully installed please test printing again.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Deskjet 5440 stopped printing wirelessly from my MacBook Pro after upgrading to OS 10.8

My home printer is connected by cable to a desktop Mac (Power Mac G5).  I have always printed wirelessly to it from my MacBook Pro laptop through our home wireless network.  However, just recently I upgraded the operating system on my laptop to 10.8.2.  At the same time, I upgraded the HP driver software (from HP) that is supposed to allow the 5440 to work with the new OS.  Since then, I can print from my laptop if it is connected by cable to the printer, but not wirelessly.  When I attempt to print wirelessly, get a message that says the printer is not connected.

So you are using Printer Sharing on the PowerMac?  If so, on the PowerMac, go to System Preferences > Print & Fax and delete the printer with the '-' sign at the bottom of the printer list.  Re-add it with the '+' sign.
Make sure that Printer Sharing is checked and that in System Preferences > Sharing that Printer Sharing is also checked there.
Now, on the MacBook Pro, go to System Preferences > Print & Scan and click the '+' sign to add the printer.

I am able to use Acrobat using a wireless router.
    Try the following:
Get the latest update from Manufacturer. Then go to printer setup utility and remove the current version. ( Do this anyway even if the same version).
Next plug Printer into a direct USB Connection. Now install Driver. Go back to Printer Setup Utility. and add Printer.
Now print a document, to verify printer works.
Now quit application, then shut down Computer.
Now switch usb printer connector from USB connector on computer to USB connector on your router.
    Restart Computer.
Now open an application that uses a printer and open a document. go to Printer and Look for the Following:
Disregard the printer I have listed here that's my printer. If you see a Printer like this add to list by choosing the printer.
Now go to Printer Setup verify it has been added. Make it the Default printer.
Now Acrobat "should" be able to print from you printer.
(Please note information is given by an Experienced User of Acrobat. I am not an employee of Adobe.)

  • How can I get Mac to print wirelessly?

I have a g5 iMac and a g4 IMac that connect to the internet via a wireless Belkin router. I have two HP printers (a laserjet and an officejet) connected with an ethernet cable to the router.
The g4 machine quickly identified both printers as "Internet printers" so I added them and was able to print wirelessly to both printers.
The g5 machine is able to print wirelessly to the officejet, but does not "see" the laserjet when I attempt to add it. I have tried everything, including setting up the printer manually by entering its IP address, and I can add the printer this way but I can't print.
What the g5 sees is both printers under "Bonjour Shared" kind, but if I select these and add them, it is unable to print (I either get a message that says "connecting to printer", which can last for hours, or I get a message indicating "Job accepted" but still nothing prints).
Before I switched Internet providers, both Macs could print wirelessly to both printers (I recently switched from a DSL provider to a cable provider, and then back to my old DSL provider).

I am confused. Neither iMac of which you speak will run Mac OS X 6.4 Snow Leopard, but that is the OS you profile.
What versions of Mac OS X are these old Macs actually running? Do you think that folks who have these Macs would be a better crowd to ask for assistance than folks with architecturally different Macs? We here have Intel Macs. Most of us have Snow Leopard. You are asking for help with two old PPC Macs, neither if which can actually run Snow Leopard.
    Just an idea.

  • Officejet 6500A Plus wont print wirelessly after a week

Set up the printer and it worked great for about a week.  For the past day I get an 'unable to connect to the printer' message everytime I try and print.  I've done the Wireless Network Test Report and everything seems to be fine but I can't print wirelessly.
I know I have Windows 7, and I think its the 64-bit version.  HELP!!!

There would not be any interaction between the magenta ink supply and the black printing problem.  It is possible the black ink supply was not properly seated in the carriage holder. If you have not already reseated the supply I would suggest that as a next step.  Also check the ink warranty date as shown on this page, although it is unlikely that you have old cartridges.  The other possibility is a large air bubble in the printhead.  This could be cleared by running a couple printhead cleaning routines from the front panel.
If this does not resolve the issue I would suggest you Contact HP for warranty service.

  • How do I make my old printer wireless?

Hi -- I know there must be a solution for what I am trying to do, please help! I have an old HP 4700n Color Laserjet printer.  Here is the situation: the printer is in one room; my computer and wireless internet modem are in another room. Does a router or other networking device exist that I can connect to the printer via USB cable, that does not have to be wired to the modem in the other room? I bought a Belkin N600 Wi-Fi Dual-Band router, thinking it would allow me to do this, but unless I am misunderstanding the setup, it seems that I have to keep it connected to my modem -- which defeats the purpose. As a last resort, I will buy a long USB cable (the ethernet port on the printer doesn't work anymore, but I have tested the USB and it works) and just connect my computer directly to the printer, but I would like to avoid that, if possible. Thank you, in advance for any help that you can give me.

    Hi,
There are many router with built-in print server (thru USB port). Long USB cable won't work, it has a limit. Given you aready have a router you can buy an USB wireless print server such as one of the following device:

  • HP printer wont print wirelessly

HP F2180 printer works fine with USB cable, but not through Airport Express. My MacBook finds it automaticaly without me finding it manually. But when giving a printjob it can't seem to find printer connection... I know the other features (scanning) don't work wirelessly but is my type of printer supposed to be able to print through Airport Express?

    According to this spec sheet:
    http://multi.gnt.lt/Pages/brochures/HP/HPDJ_AIOF2180.pdf
Your printer uses Lightweight Imaging Device Interface Language (LIDIL), which, according to page 4 of this brochure:
    http://h41140.www4.hp.com/macconnect/pdf/Mac_OS_launchspecial.pdf
Is not supported with Airport Express/Extreme.
I had a similar issue a few weeks ago.
