I tried to update my iphone 3gs to the new software iOS4.0.1 I guess and the phone has been restoring and i cannot see any progress.Depends on low the battery was, but not out bounds. Mine is usually charged in about an hour or so, but I seldom let it get to near zero (and frankly don't time how long it takes).

IPhone 3GS Camera App and Photo App Not Opening
Hi, my iPhone 3GS Camera Application and the Photo Application (Base Apple Photo-related apps "Photos", "Camera") will not open. When I tap either of them, it takes me back to the Home Screen and for a brief moment says "Library Updating", I have been waiting over a day for this to work and it still wont open.

Datzy.ok seems you have to do a restore...but in the process your photos might be not backed up so i suggest you download this

I am trying to update my iphone 3GS software but itunes just says that this is the current version of itunes, it does not see the phone update - anyone know how to get the phone updated?

I have a problem synching calendar data between my iPhone 3GS iOS 5.1 & Outlook 2007 on MS7. The basic calendar data transfer is OK but the birthdays (little box icon) are a day early & cannot be changed to the correct date. The birthday entries in my Outlook contacts have correct dates.How can I fix this?
The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.
Thanks for your advice, I think that it's n going to be a slow process to fix all the entries for not much return. -
