How come my linkdin profile from Internet Explorer is different in Firefox?

I have more connection, endorsements, and recommendation when I use Internet Explore then when I go into Linkedin using mozilla. Why is that? Shouldn't they be the same?
I have a Super Star rating using Internet Explore ...I have a starters rating using Mozilla.

When I am on a PC with IE11 I'll take a look. But I'll be looking at the edit screen for my own profile, since obviously I do not have permission to edit yours!
Do you want to post comparison screen shots pointing out the areas of difference? You can cut out personal information that should not appear on a public forum. Either PNG or JPG format is good (when photographs are included, JPG compression is better, otherwise PNG compression is cleaner).
Also, in case you have different add-ons between the two browsers, do you want to test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Any difference, or should I say, any less difference?

  • I imported all my favorites from Internet Explorer, but in the Firefox window I don't see a favorites tab. I've got a bunch of favorites that I don't want to have to redo. Any advice?

    Question
    I imported all my favorites from Internet Explorer, but in the Firefox window I don't see a favorites tab. I've got a bunch of favorites that I don't want to have to redo. Any advice?

    You can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks).
    If you have problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the Favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.<br />
    That way you also preserve any sorting that you may have done in IE with the Favorites.
    * Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
    * Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File

  • How to get current URL from Internet Explorer ?

    Hi,
    I have design an add-on for IE and I'm
    trying to get URL from IE which is currently opened that is which is currently user sees. Is there any way to get it? I want to store that address in label and use it for something useful. Is it possible with C# ?
    I have did the following code to get current URL but it showing last opened URL instead of current URL which is user see
    using SHDocVw;
           SHDocVw.ShellWindows shellWindows = new SHDocVw.ShellWindows();
                         string filename;
                         foreach (SHDocVw.InternetExplorer ie in shellWindows)
                             filename = Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(ie.FullName).ToLower();
                             if (filename.Equals("iexplore"))
                               label1.Text=ie.LocationURL;
                               label1.Text = ie.LocationName;
    and I have tried this one also
    foreach (InternetExplorer ie innew ShellWindows())
       label1.Text = ie.LocationURL.ToString();
       label2.Text = ie.LocationName.ToString();
    Please give me any suggestion or code to solve this problem.
    Thanks.

    You already got addon running in the active ie instance. You just need to catch the WindowStateChanged event in every instance so you can write down the last event with OLECMDIDF_WINDOWSTATE_USERVISIBLE somewhere. When you need the active IE instance, just
    pull from your save.
    Note an IE tab may crash and take your addon with it. It is better to start a broker process to store your global data.

  • Running SAPGUI from Internet Explorer....

    Hi Gurus,
         I would like to get the tech know-how of running SAP GUI from Internet Explorer.  I am basically a functional consultant, but like to explore in both func. and tech.  Please do reply if any option is there..  Thanks in Advance...
    Regards,
    Harish Haridas

    SAP GUI doesn't run on IE. In case you want to know CRM Web UI, then you can run it from the transaction CRM_UI and then the browser will open on the IE, this transaction is available from CRM 7.0 onwards. Incase you are below that version please use the transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB and then test the component CRM_UI_FRAME.

    I want to import bookmarks from Internet Explorer 8, but the import link under file in Firefox is ghosted out and doesn't allow me access. How can I access the Firefox import function?

    A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • How do I get the imported favorites to appear as normal and not in a subfolder called "From Internet Explorer"?

    I successfully imported my favorites/bookmarks from IE to Firefox but they show up as a subfolder called "From Internet Explorer". Since I live on the computer 8 - 12 hours a day using my favorites that's additional clicks standing in the way of getting where I want to be...thus I keep going back to IE even though it doesn't work as well as Firefox....

    You can drag them out of that folder (or use Cut & Paste) in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) to a more convenient position.

  • With firefox, how do I bookmark a new page into folder contained in From Internet Explorer?

    i imported IE favorites into firefox bookmarks. my IE favorites contained many folders with different categoties of information......eg., folders for car repair, investments,etc. now that i am using firefox, how do i
    bookmark a new page into one of the existing IE favorite folders? I have tried every option I could think of using the options shown when i click bookmark this page.......i am getting as far as FROM INTERNET EXPLORER, but i can't seem to find a way to reach one of the sub-folders within the FROM INTERNET EXPLORER folder? also, nothing is happening when i click on the star symbol to the right of the address space?

    thanks for the suggestion....sounds good to Old Goofy! Before your response was received, I continued to fiddle with the popup box that appears when you click the "bookmark this page". in my fiddling, i noticed that at least once, a litlle small solid triangle appeared just before From IE....I clicked on that little triangle and voila, there were all my sub-folders under the main IE folder!!! Nowhere in all the old posted Firefox support had I seen I clear illustration of doing this......probably I missed it or I'm just a dumbie?
    Meanwhile, if anyone is having all kinds of strange problems with computer, and no browsers including IE, with the exception of Firefox, are working properly, if you have Norton Security on your computer and it al;so is not working properly, UNINSTALL NORTON!!!!!!!!!!! That was my situation, to the extent HP free support was going to help me wipe the drive and try to put the computer back "as new", but using a different security program!!!!!

  • How can I import all my favorites (including folders within) from internet explorer?

    In internet explorer my favorites are organised into folders but when I try to import these into firefox only the files that aren't in folders comes across, in this case 1.

  • How could I use FAVOURITES imported from Internet Explorer

    I use Google Chrome. However I get adverts, which obstruct my work. As I cannot get rid of these adverts, I want to try Mozilla Firefox. I have imported favorites from Internet Explorer but I do not know how to use them. I do not see any button or icon for this purpose. I should be grateful for your help.
    FB321

    Web page have ads, and there are add-ons to suppress some of those if you find them troublesome.
    Bad add-ons can inject additional ads into pages. Sometimes some "freeware" you install can include these ad injectors which then infect all of your browsers. If you suspect anything along those lines, here's my suggested procedure for tracking down and cleaning out bad add-ons. Sorry for the length -- it's not as bad as it sounds:
    (1) Open the Windows '''Control Panel''', Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.
    (2) Open Firefox's '''Add-ons page''' using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
    In the left column, click '''Plugins'''. Set nonessential and unrecognized plugins to "Never Activate".
    In the left column, click '''Extensions'''. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible) unrecognized and unwanted extensions.
    Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    Any improvement?
    (3) You can search for remaining issues with the '''scanning/cleaning tools''' listed in our support article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]. These on-demand scanners are free and take considerable time to run. If they finish quickly and especially if they require payment, you may have a serious infection. I suggest the specialized forums listed in the article in that case.
    Success?

  • How to import passwords from Internet Explorer

    Just installed the newest version of the Firefox (27) on WIndows 8.1 and would like to copy all the saved passwords (Autocomplete) from Internet Explorer 11. During the installation process it told me that the passwords will be copied over. They were not. How to do it by myself? Couldn't find anything on this support site with regards to this situation.
    TIA

    sorry ylzuev the link had to refer to this page -> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/import-bookmarks-data-another-browser. I think in the older versions, with this process you could select "passwords" in the list of elements to import from other browser.
    Anyway, i think you should try the password exporter addon in firefox. Maybe it could work. I hope this can help you.
