I've just downloaded the new IOS 5.1 software and I discovered my music is not playing when it played before i got the update. How come the music from the music app is not playing?

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

Just a thought, try using the search feature of these forums, this issue has been addressed multiple times. Also, it's faster than other user's asking you to provide more details of the actual issue.

Try Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

I downloaded the new IOS last week and my phone can no longer find the network it only states "searching" How do I fix this for the 3gs?
If you have important files that haven't been backup then you can try this by holding down power and home till it restarts and release when you see apple logo.
If you have nothing to lose, you can do a fresh restore by holding down power and home for 10 seconds and after 10 seconds release power but keep holding home till iTunes recognize it is in recovery mode and restore iphone. -

How do I extend the time it takes for download before the application times out?
Tried that and it seemed to be helping, but I was only able to get up to about 300 MB downloaded before it timed out again.

It happens when you download from two or more different Apple IDs often. It says you must waut 90 days before you can play it without wifi. So in 90 days, try to download again.

So you started downloading it and it won't finish? Hold the home (circle) and lock (top of phone) buttons at the same time untill a power off slider comes up. Turn off your phone and when you turn it back on it will ask you for your password to restart the download. Click cancel and it should cancel the download.

When I tried downloading the new 4.2.8 software on my iphone, it froze the phone and itunes on my computer, how do I fix this???? To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

"Sounds like you guys are using the same apple id for imessage. You will need to create a separate id for you wife. OR go to settings - message - receive&send and make sure your phone number is the default for both you and yoru wife.

if you set up only iMessage account, you cannot change the status, because iMessage has no status.
You should set up another service (for example AIM) with status service. Initially I didn't understand this "issue" too, but it is correct.
