How come when I use an Internet that I have already used it doesn't automatically connect?

Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Does the iPod see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iPod connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I have been using Firefox for the past 5 years. The problem is that your Office 2010 package is a Windows application, and Windows softare doesn't run natively under MacOS. As a result, you can't simply download it or install it on your MacBook Air.
You can set up your MacBook Air to run Windows as well as MacOS, using either Boot Camp (where you pick whether to run Windows or MacOS each time the system starts, but you can't run both at the same time) or using a 'virtual' Windows installation (where you use software such as VMware to create a virtual Windows machine which you run as a window inside MacOS), but in either case you'll need a licence for Windows, plus the virtualisation software if you want to go that route. In other words, it's not simple, though in either case your Office software would be usable.
Some software houses are prepared to cross-licence software in this sort of instance - they'll allow a copy for one platform to lapse and charge a relatively low amount for new copy, on the basis that the user has already paid full price, but Microsoft generally don't seem generally cooperative in that instance.

Another user had a second tab opening and it was caused by one of his extensions.
You can check for nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the Add-ons page and click one of the links as the last step.

How can I Launch a Java application that I have written using an icon

I have just finished writing a Messaging system like Ms Outlook written completey in Java. To run my application , I would normaly type: java and then the class containing the main method eg java LogonFrame.
How can I launch my application by just clicking on an icon ?.
How can I also package and install this application the way most conventional application are packaged and installed. Do we have a sort of "java Installer" ?.

Just make a .bat file. Open notepad, type something like
@echo off
javaw -classpath %~d0%~p0 Package.MainClass %1
Now make a shortcut to this file. Rightclick the shortcut and select start in "minimized". Thats it...

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

"Connection Failed" when trying to access TC that I have already connect to

Hello,
I have been connecting to my office network for well over a month now with no problems. Now, no matter what I do, i can not connect to the Time Capsule that provides the WiFi for the office.
The Office Network appears in the Airport drop-down list and I can select it to connect to it. However, even though I enter the password in correctly, it continually says "connection failed."
The other computers (all Macs) can connect/stay connected just fine. I have tried restarting both my computer and the entire office network several times to no avail. I have updated all software on my computer. I have removed the network from my list of preferred networks, tried to connect to it again, and I have manually "Join Other Network" all to no avail.
The same thing happened about 2 weeks ago. Just randomly, after about 3 hours of no connection, it allowed me to connect again. I can connect just fine to any other Wireless Network--Starbucks, my home Aiport Express, Apple Stores, etc... I am limited in what I can do to the Time Capsule, seeing as how it is the Office's and I am not authorized to get onto Airport Utility/change settings on the TC.
I am at my wits' end with this one.
My computer:
1.83GHz Macbook Pro
1GB RAM
80GB Hard Drive
Airport Extreme (0x168C, 0x86)
Wireless Card Firmware Version: 1.4.3.1
The Wireless Setup:
Comcast cable modem, connected to 1TB Time Capsule with latest firmware/software updates.

How do you break up a movie that you have already created in iMovie 08.

Hi. I created a lengthy movie using iMovie 08, and I realize that I want to break it up into pieces so that I can take advantage of chapters in iDVD. The movie is a collection of hundreds of short videos and photographs, matched to music. I cannot see any way to break up the movie. I also cannot see any way to cut and paste the portions of the movie, without doing it one video/photo at a time, nor can I figure out a way to select large selections of the movie to copy them over to a new project.

In iMovie 08, the source footage is in the EVENT file. The PROJECT file is basically a text file which contains pointers to the event file including in and out points, pointers to the music, transitions, titles etc. Project files are not very large. However, once you share (or render) your project, a copy of the finished movie is also stored in the project file. This is typically much smaller than the event file, because it is in h.264 compression.
