in copa how the values are updated like how direct cost is taken by the system other than the sd billing document

The values are updated to copa by assigning value fields..From sd we have to assign condition types (pr00,vprs,k004..etc) to copa value fields... The sales related expanses (frieght..etc)will come from FI through PA transfer structure...In PA tranfer str we have to assign source to value fields.then the values wiil come after postings made in FI.. From product costing the production order variances will come to copa through PA transfer structure.here we have to assign variance types to valuefields.... and cost center variances will come through Assessment.

Hi,
Take a copy of RA01 in M/06 as YA01(as Discount) and keep it as following;
Cond. class A Discount or surcharge
Calculat.type A Percentage
Cond.category Blank
And Plus/minus - A (Positive)
Use this in Pricing Procedure ( M/08 ) after Gross Price ad Discount conditions (before Subtotal) and assign Subtotal "6" against this condition type.
In OBQ3 - Tax Procedure, assign AltCBV 363 to CST/VAT Condition Type (JIP1/JIP5)
Now check the calculation will happen as following;
Gross Price = 10000 INR
Discount (as -ve/+ve) = 1000 INR
BED 14% = 1400 INR
ECS 2% = 28 INR
SECess 1% = 14 INR
CST 2% = 248.84 INR

Normally you update your cost center planning in by following steps:
1- Overhead planning by KP06, you enter cost centes, cost elements and values (Can be manual or automatic through uploading of BDC"
2- Upload your planning hirarchy and sales planning (COPA)
3- Transfer sales value from COPA to SOP by KE1K
4- Run LTP (long term planning. MC8G,MS01
5- Transfer activity from LTP . KSPP
6- Post statistical Key Figures (SKF). KP46
7- Reconciliation of activity . KPSI
8- Splitting of activity. KSS4
9- Price Calculation. KSPI
following above steps will update KSBT automatically. On the other hand, if you know you activity rates and you want to update KSBT manually you can do that in KP26.

On an asset that was transferred within a company code, the current insurable value on the insurance tab in master data is showing DOUBLE the insurance value that is showing in the insurance depreciation area. Hi,
As advised above by Bernhard, you should not select COPY check box in the below path.
SPRO -> FA-> AA-> Master Data -> Screen Layout -> Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data -> Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data....
Here select the screen layout, which is assigned to the questioned asset's asset class and click on LOGICAL FIELD GROUPS.
Select LFG 08 - Insurance and click on FIELD GROUP RULES.
For the field groups 62, 64, and 78, you should deselect check box COPY and SAVE.

I need following,
whenever i update a record i should get updated by, updated time and updated count.. to be stored in database...
i achieved to store updated by and updated time...
please help me how to get updated count:
when ever a record is updated for first time updated count=1,
for second time it should be 2 for third time it should be 3 and so onnnn
please help me how to write this kind of function and kind of code help will be appriciated....

if you want "number of updates" performed on each row to be persistive, you should have designed the schema with an extra field which keeps number of updates performed.
to generic solution sql statement should have been written like
INSERT INTO table (a,b,c,update_count) VALUES (1,2,3,4)
ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE update_count=update_count+1;in this case even a insert statement will work, you wouldn't had to write another update statement.
or if u want to use update statement only
have an extra column "update_count" do "update_count=update_count+1" on each update statement, set initial default value to 0;

How does one update Subtemple value from Yes to No?

Greetings! In the instructions of a published problem statement (Note ID: 808571.11) there is a line that says:
"c) Check if the subtemplate is set to NO. Update it to NO if it is set to Yes."
How does one update the Subtemplate value from Yes to No? In edit configuration, I do not see a Subtemplate value column.

With all due respect ... I do not see how one can change the Subtemplate value from Yes to No. When I query the offending Template, the Subtemplate column is not displayed in bold, indicating to me that it can not be updated. Clicking on Edit Configuration, doe not provide an ability to change the value either.
As best I can determine, one needs to 1) query up the template
2) download the rtf file(s)
3) end date the template
4) create a new template and then set the Subtemplate value to No.
And the same steps appear to be required in order to add or update a template Description.
Which raises the question, Why can this not be done by editing the configuration?

How to get updated value form oracle database on a field in oracle forms 6.0 at run time if the same form is opened by multiple users and both have get the same maximum value if one commit the record then how other would get that maximum value with out exiting that form...

This issue is fairly common and Forms handles the situation by displaying the error, "Record has been updated by another user. Requery to see changes." if a user tries to update a record that was updated by another user.
If your data is in a base table block, you can check before you save by checking the value in the form against the database using the Get_Item_Property('<BLOCK.ITEM>',DATABASE_VALUE). You can compare the value returned by the built-in against the value in the field to see if they have changed. This could be a lot of work and a lot of network traffic if you are checking numerous items in your data block. Forms has a standard locking mechanism that will lock the queried record as soon as a user makes any changes. If another user queries and attempts to change the record locked by another user - they will receive a "Record Locked" message.

What needs to happen is for any sample analysis that has a sample_type of "C" we need the effective date to be the first of the month for whatever month the sample date is and keep the time as it is…
so in the example data the effective date should be 2013/07/01 09:00:00.

You don't need to convert to a string and back again to do that. Use TRUNC to get the right day, and date arithmetic to get the right time, like this:
UPDATE fc_gq_source_analysis
SET     effective_date = TRUNC (sample_date, 'MONTH')
                             + (sample_date - TRUNC (sample_date))
WHERE   sample_type = 'C'
TRUNC (sample_date, 'MONTH')        is midnight on the 1st of the month that you want.
sample_date - TRUNC (sample_date)   is the time that you want, expressed as a number of days (e.g., 9/24 of a day).
