How correctly using USB 6251 to measure DC voltage

Hi all
I have encounter a problem like in the topic http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=404676&query.id=250408.
I'm sorry for repeating of topic but I've read all of your advices and have not yet resolved problem.
My task very simply: I use USB 6251, differential mode to measure voltage of battery Energizer 1.5V. But result shows >10V ??? Mean.vi shows bigger 4V (see the attached picture)
I don't understand what happed with my task?
Please help me!
Thank so much!

Thank Flaugher
I did not connect bias resistors. But now I do another way: connect possitive pole of battery to the AI0 and other to the AI GRD, choose input configuration "RSE" and get good results.

how to use usb files on ipad mini

If you're trying to read files off a USB drive onto an iPad, it really doesn't work. The iPad can read specifically named photo and video files off SOME USB drives, but cannot read documents or music or other kinds of files. And there is zero support to write info from the ipad onto any USB device

  • How to use USB Y adapter with HDD 500GB V63700-A

    Hi,
My external HDD V63700-A500GB has difficulty working in my USB2.0 4 port adapter.
I thought perhaps it needs more power going into it.
So I bought a USB-Y but I can not figure out how to use it.
It has 2 male USB connector wires and a very small narrow one which does not go into the thin wide socket of the above HDD.
Anybody uses these things to advise me how to?
    ...... thanx

    Thanx Joel,
definitely looks like the correct one but, can you give me a link on where to get it?
I keep googling for a "USB-Y cable for external hd" with no luck.

  • Using USB-9211 to measure a small voltage - apparent signal offset?

    Hi,
I wish to acquire a small voltage signal (0-20mV) using USB-9211.  I know that this device is designed for use with thermocouples, but I have been informed that it can also be used for measurement of small voltage signals (24 bit resolution over +/- 80mV range).
The problem I am having is that the device seems to generate a small voltage (~3.2mV), which causes a degree of 'offset' in the signal I acquire.  My first guess is that this is caused by the internal CJC of the device, however I cannot find any way of removing this signal within LabView.  If this is the case, is the magnitude of the offset dependent on the temperature of the device itself?
Can anybody confirm what the source of this voltage is, and advise what is the best way to acquire my signal through LabView?
I have already raised this query with the helpdesk (ref #613180) but have not yet had a definitive answer.
    Many thanks

The offset is dependent upon the temperature of your cold junction.
To prove this try heating the cold junction with a hair dryer with
    your signal leads shorted.

  • How to use usb flash drive

So i tried to use a usb flash drive to save a word document on my macbook, but i couldnt find the flash drive, or even where to find the usb port. can somebody tell me how to use a usb flash drive on macbooks?

The USB ports are on the left side.
Just plug in the drive, and it should show up on your desktop (or in the Finder - click the happy face icon in your dock). Drag and drop the files into the drive. Or, select the drive as the save location when you pick Save or Save As in Word.
When you're done, drag the drive's icon to the trash (it will change to an eject symbol), or click the little eject symbol next to it's icon in the Finder. You can then safely unplug the drive.

  • How to use scb 68(pci 6221) for voltage and current measurement

    hi

PCI 6221 is DAQ card with 68 terminals and SCB (Shielded Connector Board) 68 is termination board to those 68 pins of 6221 card, so that you can connect signals (to be measured) to appropriate pin of PCI 6221. You might already aware of it.
Refer to the pin out of PCI 6221 to check which is the correct terminal, for voltage measurements.
You cannot measure current directly, instead use a resistor of known value (and appropriate current rating), let current (to be measured) flow through it and measure the voltage across that resistor.

  • How to use shared variables to measure analog input

    Dear All,
I am using Real time remote system. I am using PXI-6259 card, PXI-8184RT controller and PXI-1031 Chassis.
I want to use shared variable to measure and analog Input(voltage) from
an analog input Channel.  I tried  attaching it  with the physical
channel using the bind to source option but it idoes not seem to work,
can any one give me any suggestions?
Screen shot  of this is available.
I tried using the Acq and graph example and deployed it to the RT but
the Sine wave I input in the measurement channel  becomes highly
distorted when I see it in the host.vi, there is also a Screen shot of
this also. Is there any other option.
What am I doing wrong? all suggestion are highly welcome.
    Thank you.

You will have to give us the whole picture. What is your client computer; a PAC, desktop etc? What are you running on the client computer; a VI or an executable? Where are you going to deploy your library? On the host machine or the client machine?
If I assume that you are running a VI on the client machine and are depolying the library on the host, all you have to do is to create another shared variable and bind it to the variable on the host machine. You can do this by checking the Bind to Source option when creating the variable and browsing to the network item in options. Be sure to have the library deployed on the host side before you attempt to do this otherwise you won't be able to find the variable.

  • Trouble using one Keihtley 2400 to preform a current sweep to drive a laser diode and use a second to measure a voltage from a laser power meter.

  • How to use USB storage on X3500

How do i set up for my Macbook to see the USB storage that I connect to the X3500? When I go to Finder>Network>X3500 SMB server, It said that Connection fail. However I can access it with no problem in Windows 7 using bootcamp.
I'm using Macbook pro retina running 10.9.3

@vickvohoang, make sure and verify the correct IP Address of your X3500 router. The 192.168.1.1 is only the default IP Address. It might be changed and you need to check it. To check:
    1. Click the Apple icon then select the System Preferences… option.
    2. Click the Network icon under Internet & Wireless.
    3. On the Network window, click the Advanced… button. The default Location would be set to Automatic.
    4. Click the TCP/IP tab. The Mac computer’s IP address, Subnet Mask and the router’s IP address will then be displayed.
Use the current Router's IP to map the network drive and you should be okay.

  • How to use USB interface with LabVIEW Embedded for ARM

    Hi everybody.
I am developing an application based on the "LabVIEW Embedded for
ARM". Now I am doing various tests using
the evaluation board 2300 (with NXP LPC2378), but soon I will
dedicate to program the micro used in my project (NXP
    LPC2148).
During the tests, I have seen that "default" LabVIEW interface allows the use
of CAN, I2C and SPI interfaces of the micro. I want to know how can I also use the
    USB interface that is on the micros -both LPC2148 and LPC2378- (pin USB_D + / D-, USB_UP_LED,
    USB_CONNECT, VBUS).
Thanks in advance for your suggestions

    @chueco85
If you've created an application in LabVIEW for ARM and you build it.
you can go to tools >> ARM Module >> Show Keil uVision
then go to he build options.
the hex file will be created when you do a build.
    with flash magic :http://www.flashmagictool.com/
    you can program your device.

  • How to use usb super drive at mcbook pro with retina

I had just bought a mcbookpro with retina on-line. I bought a USB super drive as well. I don't know how what button i'll be using to operate the usb super drive. Can anyone help?

If you've a CD with Microsoft Office on it, all you need to do is double-click the installer program on the CD. If you don't see the CD mounted on your Desktop, go to Finder>Preferences>General, and tick the box that says "CDs, DVDs, and iPods" under "Show these items on the desktop".
After you've finished installing Office, simply drag the disc to the Trash and it will eject (I don't have a Retina display model, so I'm not sure if there's an optical disc eject button next to the F12 key or nor - if there is, you can use that as well).
    Hope this helps.
