How could a button open a EXE file in any position?

How could a button open a EXE file in free position?
I am very confused, I am searching the issue for two days, I just could use fscommand function open a EXE file in a fixed opsition, where must be in the same root with the .swf(change into .exe form at the same time). but how I open the target in a position where I want? Is that possible in Flash?
help!, thanks a lot~

well you can publish the the other FLA, which would give you
an HTML file, upload that and the SWF then link to the SWFs' HTML
page.

  • How to open up .exe files

Is it possible to open up .exe files on my mac? If so, how do you do so? Or what program is required?

There are two other options. You can get Parallels and then run windows under it. You could also install BootCamp and run windows under it.

A .exe file is a Windows executable. OS X does not run Windows programs. If you need to use .exe files then you will need to install Windows on your Mac:
    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard or Snow Leopard. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.

  • How to open an .exe file

Please forgive me for posting this question. I've spent time looking for an answer in the boards here and haven't found anything that works for me.
I need to open and .exe file that I know is a flash style game that I need to see for work. I don't need a full Windows emulator. Everything I've tried so far doesn't work. Crossover, Filejuicer, Tgemu, they don't work.
I'm not familiar with the whole emulator process, I just need a simple and hopefully free program that will run a game for me.

As others have said, there is no such thing an Intel G5.
Use this article to identify your iMac:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301724
If you have an Intel iMac, then you can run:
    Apple's Bootcamp
    Parallel's Workstation
    CrossOver Mac
    DOSBox
    VMWare
    Wintel by Open OS X
    Open Darwin's DarWINE
    iEmulator
    Q (QEMU) by Kberg
If you have a G5 iMac, you can only run:
    Wintel by Open OS X
    Open Darwin's DarWINE for PowerPC
    iEmulator
    Q (QEMU) by Kberg
    Lismore System's GuestPC
    Microsoft VirtualPC
Only WINE and Crossover solutions require no Windows installation.
As for running games, Intel Macs have much better graphics acceleration in certain virtualization engines listed above, whereas PowerPC Macs (including G5s) have none. Thus if you have don't have an Intel iMac, I'd get one, or another Intel Mac to test your game, if it requires any graphics acceleration.
WINE/Crossover has very limited application support, thus if you've tried your game on it, and it doesn't work, contact CrossOver and report the bug, if you have an Intel iMac, that they need to fix CrossOver to make it work. Unfortunately you may have to run Windows on your Mac to run the game. I would mention to the game developers, they should seriously consider crossplatform programming software such as Revolution, or RealBasic, or Flash, or Sun Java. Microsoft Java, ActiveX, DirectX, Visual Basic are not crossplatform, and are more subject to viruses and spyware.

  • Opening a .exe file in itunes

I recently have purchased a printer which I want to use with my ibook. I put in a cd of a copied version of the software to install to my computer and when it showed up I double clicked the first .exe file and it automatically went to itunes. From itunes I could not find how to actually open the .exe file and therefore could not install the software needed to use my printer. I am just wondering how I can open a .exe file and install my software when it goes to open in itunes. Thanks!

Mac OS X probably includes the necessary software; those items are Windows executables, and unless they're self-extracting zips, you need to set up Windows through Virtual PC to use them on an iBook; even if you do set Windows up, they won't install anything into Mac OS X.

  • The itunes application could not be opened.  The file name was invalid or..

    ...too long.
No idea when this started but cannot launch iTunes at all. To reiterate, when I try to launch iTunes I get the following error message: The itunes application could not be opened. The file name was invalid or too long.
I actually uninstalled it and reinstalled on my external drive and it came back with the same error. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot what caused this? I am at my wits ends with this!

I can't get mine to open at all. I even try clicking on a song to see if that will open it, nope. I have hooked up my iphone and ipods, nope. Click the icon, nope still nothing. It keeps erroring, but won't let me copy the error to put in here. I looked at the report it wants to send out, but there is nothing that says why it is erroring. Anyone else having this problem. Please email me at [email protected] to let me know what you did to solve it, or who I have to talk to to get it fixed... Thank you

Hi Shane.  Not much in the way of thoughts - - but fwiw:
    How is the drive attached?
Can you open large files on the drive with other programs?
Are you running any drive compression or acceleration programs (some drives arrive with these installed)?
Can you reformat the drive and try again?
    Hi Kirby,
I attached the UltraMax Plus with a USB cable. The UltraMax powers the cable so power is not an issue. I can open other files. Also, there is 500GB of files on the drive so I cannot re-format it. Although, I noted I could import the entire Aperture Library. However, I do not want to create a duplicate on my machine because that would be defeating the purpose of the external drive.

  • "The document could not be opened. Bad file handle."  Error

    Greetings,
I have many operators opening documentation using acrobat reader 8.1.2. When the documents are opened, sometimes a change has to be done to the file. I use computer management to "kick" everyone out of the files, update the .pdf, and then they can re-open the file to see the latest and greatest version. The problem is, if not everyone is out of the file, I sometimes get a ""The document could not be opened. Bad file handle." error, and have to usually wait a period of time before it will let anyone in. I think it has something to do with the windows temp files, but am unsure. It's hard to ensure everyone is out of the document on time, as up to 50 people may be in it at the same time.
Is there perhaps a better way of publishing the new verison of the document?
Thanks for any help you can provide!

these two errors below is what I am receiving when do a program integrity scan: common program locations.

I cannot open Pages documents that I have worked on and saved.  When I try to reopen Pages documents that I've saved, I get the following
    message:
"The document “[name of document]” could not be opened. The file isn’t in the correct format.
The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format."
I have downloaded the latest update to iWork, but that doesn't help.
    I use Mac OSX 10.6.7
    I am using Pages '09 version 4.0.5 (852)
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Best regards,
    New York Mac User

A few general trouble shooting tips that may apply here:
    1. If you used Software Update to do the OS update(s) to reach 10.6.7, go to http://support.apple.com/downloads/ and download and apply the Mac OS v10.6.7 Combo Updater. The Combo Updater contains some fixes that were not included in the incremental updaters used by Software Update.
1a. Check that you have the current version of Pages (and of the other iWork applications) installed. All three applications' current version numbers end in .0.5
    2. A common cause of malfunctioning applications is a corrupted preferences file (.plist file). Your Pages '09's plist is at yourname > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iWork.pages.plist
Quit Pages, locate the file and Drag it to the Desktop (or to the Trash).
Restart Pages and attempt to open one of the files.
If all is well, Trash the plist file and empty the Trash.
If there's no change, AND you've made changes to the Preferences that you wish to keep, drag the file back to its previous location, replacing any new one that has been created.

  • How can I script a Flash .exe file to always stay on top of all other windows?

    Hi All,
I'm new to action script, and I just need this one script
    > How can I script a Flash .exe file to always stay on top of
    all other windows?
Basically what i want to do is have a flash-created
step-by-step instructional movie, but for the movie to remain on
top of all windows so the instructee is able to follow the
    instructions on-screen...
It would be preferable to not have to buy another product
just to do this... as I said, this is the only scripting I need.
    Thanks in advance

if you create your exe with mProjector you can use one of its
    new AS
    commands to do this.

  • IPhoto9: "library could not be opened because the file system of the library's volume is unsupported."

Can please anyone help me with this issue.
After upgrading from iPhoto8 to iPhoto9 my library won't open anymore. I have stored all my pictures on a NAS (Buffalo Link Station Duo). It all worked fine but since upgrading to iPhoto9 I do have the following problem:
When opening iPhoto I receive a message that the library needs to be updated. I assume that iPhoto should just do this sort of automatically in order to upgrade to iPhoto9.However, next message I receive then is
"The library could not be opened because the file system of the library's volume is unsupported."
Apple support so far does not seem to be able to solve my issue. Anyone else having had the same issue and having a solution to this?
Thanks a lot for your help.

    There is no solution.
IPhoto needs to have the Library sitting on disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Users with the Library sitting on disks otherwise formatted regularly report issues including, but not limited to, importing, saving edits and sharing the photos. While you have been lucky to date, many folks with a library on a NAS found that it worked for a while and then the problems started.
Workaround: Put the Library on a Disk Image formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and store that on the NAS. But the real solution is to use a properly formatted disk for the Library.
