How could I changed the permisson to allow oracle user to do FTP

Hello All,
I am doing FTP from sun box to SuSE linux -- /usr/local/bin/wits.
I'd like to FTP files from Sun box--- /usr/local/bin/wits to SuSE Linux ----/usr/local/bin/wits.
FTP
get
filename (remotely & locally)
permisson deniedIt says permisson denied.
On other hand I am able to FTP in /tmp.
How could I changed the permisson for /usr/local/bin/wits to allow oracle user to do FTP in above directory?

How could I change the name of Short Name?

I have some trouble on name creation on 10.4. I am a computer admin in my company. Everytime we bought new Mac, I will give a Short Name to the computer which is a part of new system setting. My difficulity is, I need to change the name frequently when the machine swap to a new user. How should I change the Short Name instead of reinstall the system?

To change an account's short name, log in from an administrator account and then open the NetInfo Manager application in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder. Change the old name to the new name in the admin group, as well as that user account's name and home properties; don't alter or delete any other accounts, groups, or properties. Next, open the /Users/ folder in the Finder and rename that account's home folder so that it has the new short name. Log out and back in.

Hi everybody,
I am pretty new to this forum, that is I just began to probe
with RH7, and it is going well so far, because of your help and the
technical service's help from Adobe.
I tried different layers to see which one is the most
appropriate for my project, and the Flash is very interesting.
However, I would like to put a logo or a text in the header
(the coloured one), and I have no clue how, and what tool I should
use.
Is anybody familiar with Flash Help tweaking?

I'm not familiar with the .fsw file type. Where are you
finding that file? Is it named skin_background_tb?
Try searching for skin_background_tb.fla in your project's
source files. I think .fla is your best bet.
It's been long enough since I've started a brand new
FlashHelp project that I can't remember if the "FlashHelp Default"
skin is included in the project automatically or if you have to
generate the layout with a skin from the gallery before any Flash
skin files appear in your source files. If you haven't done so
already, open the FlashHelp layout dialog, select a skin, and
generate the layout. Once you've done this, you should see a folder
within the !SkinSubFolder! directory that has the name of the skin
you selected. That skin folder should contain all the .fla and .swf
files for the skin. Those .fla files are the ones you would edit to
change the skin. (Whenever you edit a .fla file, you then export it
as a .swf movie to that same skin folder, then generate the layout
again to see the results.)

When clicking on an attachment to an email, it will only save rather than save or open. How can I change the setting to allow me to open an attachment before deciding whether or not to save it?

There is a dialog box that appears when I click on an email attachment that asks whether to open or save a .pdf document, and whether I always want that action to be taken. However, when clicking a .doc or .docx document, I no longer have the choice. How can I revive the dialog box to choose to 'open' the file rather than being forced to 'save' the file?

You can rename such files with a .html file extension and give them a .jpg file extension to make applications see them as an image.<br />
If Windows is stubborn and keeps the .html file extension and you end up with image.jpg.html then add quotes around the name ("image.jpg")

I have created JTree in which u can see the FileSystemView by using customized TreeModel This TreeModel is extends from DefaultTreeCellRenderer for getTreeCellRendererCompenent. I am displaying FileDisplayName in TreeView but not the exact absolute path but when i am clicking for renaming the path it is giving absolute full path. But what i want is it has to show only the name of the folder. Any ideas?? Where i am missing the way???

Changing the language in the App store involves changing the language of the device. To do so go to Setting>General>International> Language> then select the language you want to use. Hope this helps.

How could I unlock the account HR in Oracle SQL Developer?!

Hi Everybody! I am new with using ORACLE SQL Developer! and I just wanted ask how could I solve this problem: "ORA-28000 The account is Locked!" Please anyone can help me?? As I know, When you just need to make a new connection, you have to type "hr" as your username, and password! I hove done that many times, but it didn't work :(( I have also installed Oracle XE g11 and it seems that there is no problem with it, BUT my problem with the first program "Oracle SQL Developer!" PLEASE anyone can reply???

Hi,
Apparently you have both SQL Developer and Oracle 11g XE installed, but is not entirely clear if you know how to create a connection. If not, you should first read the SQL Developer tool's Help|Table of Contents|SQL Developer Concepts and Usage|Getting Started... help.

Anyway, since you installed 11g XE, you should remember the password you picked for the SYS user. Launch SQL Developer, create a connection for SYS (whose role must be set to SYSDBA) using host=localhost, port=1521, sid=xe (these are all defaults and I doubt you overrode any of them). Once that connection exists, just follow Timo's instructions from his initial post. Let me repeat them, hopefully without typos, and in a bit more detail:
1) Open your SYS connection in the Connections view
2) Expand it, scroll down to the Other Users node in the tree
3) Right-click on the HR node, click on Edit User... from the context menu
4) Uncheck the Account is Locked checkbox in the Create/Edit User dialog
5) Click on the Apply button at the bottom of the dialog
or
1) Open your SYS connection in the Connections view
2) From the Worksheet, execute ALTER USER HR ACCOUNT UNLOCK
Now your HR connection should no longer display an account locked message when you try to open it.

Assuming one wants to stay with database-stored passwords (the traditional method), one may want to look at the password aging and complexity enforcing mechanisms.
Oracle has a complete manual around this. For 10gR2, the Oacle Database Security Guide chapter 4 is interesting reading - section 4.3 is the discussion for database authentication. And section 7.4.4 talks about the complexity enforcement.

Already done, this is not working. I think you have to change
it before the built, for the moment I changed it in the SSL folder
and rebuilt the Help, the matter is this favicon only displays when
it is put on the website, I have to wait to see the result. I will

How could I change the country of my apple ID with balances?

I created my Apple ID without a credit card, so I chose the U.S as my country.
Now,I have a visa card, and I'd like to add the card to my Apple ID. But before that, I have to change my country to Canada.
The problem is that my ID has a balance even though it's $0.16, so I can't change it, and I don't wanna create a new Apple ID, too.
What should I do?

How do I change the examples to use Oracle rather than Cloudscape

I set up the JDBC connector and can ping my Oracle DB from WebLogic. I know what
to run the first EJB example using the Entity beans and persisting with the CMP.
I built a table in Oracle - just don't know the process for talking to Oracle
rather than to Cloudscape which seems to start automatically with the Examples
server. I have the JDBC code, but where do I put it? What config files need to
be modified?

If you are using one of Lightroom's "date-based" folder templates, then the folders are created in accordance with the image capture date, not the date that you happen to import it.
