How could I draw a graph with a parameter like resistance on the x-axis?

I want to run an analysis that plots a voltage as a function of resistance. The parameter sweeps just make separate lines on the graph corresponding to the different resistances but they are still functions of time. Also If I could get gain as a function of resistance that would be great too(in ac).

For this case, you need to make use of the Export to Excel function (or Mathcad or LabVIEW). Export all the traces and you will have a spreasheet in excel that in the column header has the resistance, and then you will have two columns beneath it, one for time and one for voltage. In this way, you could then select one row, that is... one specific point in time, and graph Voltage as a function of resistance.

How to draw a graph with fixed Y-axis and varying X-axis....Is it Possible?

i am trying to draw a Line 2d graph with a dataset which contains four values like(x,y)(x1,y1)...(x4,y4)
So when i plot the points i couldn't get the (x,y) values since they are very low when compared to other values...
So,is there any way to scale down the graph to the max value of (x,y)

I read this as not using JFreeChart! If using JFreeChart than one can just set the range of values to be plotted!

How to draw xy graph with multiple y axis input?

Hi,
I have problem in xy graph, the xy graph only can show 1 signal from the y axis input ( As you can see in the attachment )
Is it possible to draw xy graph with 2 Y input? Or maybe there are another type of graph that possible to do this?
Note: the x axis should be from an input too ( not versus time / sample ).

Are you asking for a second Y scale on the graph?
If so, right click on the existing scale, select "Duplicate Scale". This will create a second scale. You can then (if you wish), right click on the new scale a select "Swap Sides" to put it on the other side of the graph.
Are you asking about adding a second plot?
If so then you need to bundle your arrays of X and Y points into clusters and build those into an array:
The X-axis is always from an input on the XY Graph. You just need to change the axis title. Easiest way to do this is to double click on the axis title and type the new name.

Select all three columns of data. All three must be 'regular' columns, not Header columns, and the X values must be in the leftmost column.
Click the Charts button and choose the Scatter chart.
The resulting chart will initially show only the first and second columns of data, and the selection will have been reduced to show this.
Click the gear icon at the top left of the selection and choose Share X Values.
You should see a result similar to this:
Notes:
The values on my sample table contain a random element, so they have changed from thhe first image to the second.
The chart is as created by Numbers, with two edits:
Data points have been connected with curves, using the Chart nspector.
The curves were selected and their stroke increased to 2pts, using the stroke formating button in the format bar.

How to set up Airport Extreme with Charter ARRIS Modem TM902A for the first time for WIRELESS.
When Charter Tech goes to your site, have them connect the modem up, but do not connect the modem to your iMAC or MacBook Pro. What you want to do is connect the Airport Extreme to the iMac or MacBook Pro first with the Ethernet Cable. You have to do this to configure via Airport Utility to set up the Base Station Name & Base Station Password.
You will then create/configure a Wireless Network, create your Wireless Password that will be entered on each of your Devices, example, Apple Tv, your iPhone, etc., you want to allow access to your Wireless Network you are creating.
Wireless Security will be -> WPA/WPA2 personal or just WPA2
Enter the Wireless Password you want
Verify the Wireless Password (enter it again)
After it is created you will see it on the Airport Utility window with the name you created for it and to the left, will be a Dot (circle that will be yellow).
Next you then want to unplug the power to the Airport Extreme, and then take the end of the Ethernet cable you unplugged from the iMac or Lap top MacBook Pro and connect it to the back of the Modem.
Next unplug the power cord from the modem and wait about 5 minutes, then plug the power back into the Arris Modem and wait until all lights come back on the modem wait
about 5 minutes, then plug the power cord back to the Airport Extreme and you will see it the light blinking yellow. Wait about 5 to 10 minutes, during this time Restart you IMAC or MacBook Pro, and once it is back up click on the Airport Utility and you should see on the Airport Utility screen.
For INTERNET to the left the light should be green and you should see the Airport Extreme also appear and the light to the left on the screen should also be green. If they are, you then should be able to click on the Wireless Symbol on top of bar of the screen and click to select the Wireless Network Name you created.
If you Do Not See the light (Icon) next to INTERNET turn Green, or if you see the Internet Light Green, but the Light (Icon) next to the Airport Extreme is yellow, unplug the power again to the modem and unplug the power again to the Airport extreme and wait about 15 minutes or up to 30 minutes. Then plug the power cord back to the modem wait till all the lights light up then, plug the power cord back into the Airport Extreme and Restart your iMAC or MacBook Pro.
The Airport Extreme light should change from yellow to green. Open up the Airport Utility to see what the indicators are showing they should both be green. Again select Wireless network you created under the Wireless Icon on the top right of the screen. Open Safari and see if you are able to Route to a web page or the apple site should appear.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR AIRPORT EXTREME WAS PREVIOUSLY SET UP FOR USE WITH ANOTHER CARRIERS ROUTER OR MODEM.
NOTE: If you already had your Airport Extreme connected for example, I previously had ATT Uverse and the Airport Extreme was connected to the Wireless Router Model 3801HGV, I disabled the Uverse Wireless and used the Airport Extreme for the Wireless signal in bridge mode, as the Airport extreme Signal is much stronger than the Uverse router, and I was able to obtain a Wireless signal with the Airport Extreme way much better with no signal loss which was very very frustrating with the Uverse router.
Anyhow if you had it hooked up like this, now that you will be using it with the Charter ARRIS Modem TM902A, you will need to reset the Airport Extreme to clear out the old data it has in memory, with the previous set up otherwise it will not work. Trust me I spent 6 hours trying to make it work reading all Apple Support Community questions and answers relating to this type issue/problem others have been having trying to get their set up working. I tried all the tips, and I finally decided just to see if by chance I would be able to connect with someone with Charter Tech support who might be familiar with Apple to be able to assist me and by luck I did. He told me why it was not working and was all due the previous configuration with the ATT Uverse router was still in memory with the Airport Extreme. Finally it was 10:30 PM when I decided to call Charter Tech Support and I had been working on this since 3:00 pm pacific. I did not call them earlier as all the post I read said they never received any good help from Charter. After calling them I finished up by 11:00 PM and was able to finally connect Apple Tv, iMac, iPhones and Macbook Pro. We love our Apple Product and Happy all is connected with the new
Internet Provider Charter. I must say the speed is way way much better than it ever was with AT&T Uverse.
THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:
First you will need to unplug the Airport Extreme, then by taking the tip of a pen or paper clip end you need to push the reset button on the back of the Airport Extreme and hold it
down and at the same time plug the power cord back into the Airport Extreme count to 5 or 10 then release the reset button. Then once he light in front of the Airport Extreme stops blinking you need to plug the Ethernet cable from the Airport Extreme to your iMAC or Macbook Pro, and restart which ever one you have, then open the Airport Utility once it is back up. If you see airport extreme pop up with the old network name or it shows and yellow triangle click on the Airport Extreme ICON it will not let you configure it but will ask if you want to get rid of it or remove and just do it. Then Again restart your iMAC or MacBook Pro, open up Airport Utility again, and on the top left you should see under “Other Airport Base Stations” the MAC ID for the Airport Extreme.

I just got a Charter Modem. Model TM822. While I was moving, my Airport Extreme was still at my old place.
I have a Linksys WRT320N I used for the initial Charter setup.
I can get my Airport to work here, but the Internet light on the Modem flashes Yellow.
Hasn't caused any issues so far but one thing I did notice.
On the Linksys there were 3 DNS servers listed.
The Airport Extreme only lists 2 and i don't see where I could add another, only change whats already there.
I tried everything above, but light on modem still flashes yellow.
I have the technicians cell phone. Told me "that shouldn't be" and gave the same advice listed above.
I'll break down and call Charter one day, see if it's on their end. NSA tracking may need a reset LMAO.

Issue 1 :- Select the SWF file in library, right click, and
select update.
Issue 2 :- Actually it could be valid for Issue 1 also. It
seems like SWF file you are trying to import, does some action
like, importing another swf or connecting to server on the first
frame itself. Captivate will try to play the first frame of SWF
when you import them. Try creating a keyframe with the stop action
as the first frame in your SWF, and see if you still have the
issue.
Issue 3 :- The approach I am mentioning over here is
generally the last approach which I will take in such scenerios,
but since you have already experimented a little, so try this.
Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application
Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate
Rename captivate_v20.dat as captivate_v20_org.dat.
Restart Captivate Application.

Well, whichever device you uncheck = exclude from calendars (and reminders) via iCloud will be excluded as both, receiver and sender. It's an "all or nothing", I guess. Otherwise it'd get more complicated, and the support calls could easily fill an extra forum...
@lmp68: don't think iTunes is it, in the days of iCloud that would sure take quite an extra effort, if possible at all.

How could I do a thread with Labview?

I'm doing a VI with inside a calling to a SubVI. How could the Top-level VI works meanwhile the subVI is working? The top-level VI has to work like a thread because it takes measures from the serial port calling a C DLL, so when I call the SubVI it has to take measures continuously (the VI shows a graph of the measures).

If you go to the VI Properties, under the Execution menu selection there is a pop-up for setting the Preferred Execution System. This is as close as you can specifying a thread in LV.

Hi, again sorry to keep coming back to you guys, but i have been trying hard to attempt things myself.I have read loads of books and can not find example to work from.I have managed with your "help" to finnish my calculations. Now i need to plot a graph with the data from my X array and Y array. I will then try my self to plot the linear least fit line if it kills me. I need to create with Microsoft Excel, a column graph that based on different values, each column will contain different color.
To be precise:
E.g.:
- Green: If it is 0
- Orange: If it is between 0 and 10
- Red: If it is more than 10

According to your description, I get the result as shown in the following figure.
Is this a correct result? If yes, this is an excel chart with conditional formatting. Please try the following steps to create the chart.
To accomplish this task, you will need to create three additional columns of data and plot those three columns of data-and not the original column of sales data – in a stacked column chart. As shown in the figure.
And the formula in C2 is: =IF(AND(B2>0,B2<=10),B2,0). The formula shows the value in column C if it falls between the limits in rows 0 and 10; otherwise it shows 0. The formula is filled into the range C2:E4.
Then we select the source data with A2:A4 and C1:E4, as shown in the figure to insert a column chart. The chart now shows 3 sets of colored bars, one for each data range of interest.

How to make a compass graph with Numbers?

Hi, I did a search for compass graphs and there are a few excel examples, do you know if there are any Numbers, versions, and user friendly ones at that. As I am not a mathematician. Basically I am plotting the frequency of doorway directions to compass points, e.g. N, NNW,NW,W, on a bar chart, but the paper I am comparing it to, has used a compass graph, with the freqency as longer lines eminating from the compass point depending on the number of doorways.
The directions could be input as degrees if required. Any help appreciated

A compass graph would certainly be appropriate for this data, but that chart type is not available in Numbers.
You can fake it with a little work, though.
Arrange the data in pairs as shown. Note that the values in column C are expressed as negatives.
Create four Stacked Bar charts, one from each data pair. You will need to click the three bar icon that appears at the upper left of the selection to change it from horizontal to vertical. That makes Numbers consider the pair as parts of the same series, and stack the two bars.
Open the Chart Inspector and for each chart, remove everything except the actual bar, and for now, the Label on the X axis (if this helps identify which graph shows each pair). Set the Y Max to the maximum expected value, Steps to 1 and Y Min to the negative of the Max value. Use the Pen and Fill controls in the Toolbar to set the Fill colour to None and the Line to None.
Switch to the Metrics Inspector (ruler icon) and set the size of each chart to the same values (I used 0.5 wide and 4.88 high (with Max Y set to 10).
Drag (or use the arrow keys, with or without the shift key) the four charts into place.
Add as many circles (from the Shape button—be sure to set Fill to None) as you want and drage them into position.
I left the bars in the default colours to assist in lining them up correctly. Those colours can be changed by clicking on the individual bar, then using the Fill well.
Too fiddley? You could just dump the data into NeoOffice and use that to create a Compass chart.

i have a text file which contains the x,y coordinates of the sinewave.Using these coordinates i need to draw the sinewave graph.Then,i need an option in graph to zoom in and zoom out the graph.How should i do this? kindly post any ideas,if any open source is available please provide me link.

Using these coordinates i need to draw the sinewave graph.-- Create a polygon p out of those coordinates.
-- In a paintComponent override, drawPolyline (p.xpoints, p.ypoints, p.npoints)
Then,i need an option in graph to zoom in and zoom out the graph.Apply a scaling factor when creating the polygon. Alternatively, invoke AffineTransformed method createTransformedShape to obtain a scaled polygon.
How should i do this?Your choice, but since you have posted here I thought you intended to do it in Java.
