I had troubles to update itunes on my mac OSX 10.5.8; so I removed itunes and its components from my computer and try to reinstall. Unfortunately I cannot find a itunes available for mac osx 10.5.8
could U help

iTunes 10.6.3.25 - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1575
This is the highest you can go on a Mac running 10.5.8  To go higher you will need to use a newer operating system.
With your Intel Mac you can upgrade to Snow Leopard, but check full system requirements first. Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then  "About This Mac".  Write down what it says about "version"and report that here.  Now continue to "More Info..."  Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
Snow Leopard 10.6 Technical Requirements - http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
You can buy Snow Leopard at:
Snow Leopard disc source - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
After installing run the updater to 10.6.8, then upgrade iTunes.

  • I have reinstall itunes on mac all my backups are lost how to retrive

i have reinstall itunes on mac all my backups are lost how do i retrive them i did not back up from icloud

Looking in the time capsule preferences, it looks like the name of the disk has slightly changed to add a "3" at the end.  Not sure how to change it back.
When I use airport utility and look at the disk, it says something like half the disk has been used, so obviously my backups are still there.  Just not sure how to re-connect so backups aren't lost or duplicated.

  • I attempted to install an update to my iTunes and got a "C   Runtime Error" message. Now when I attempt to open iTunes I get a pop up that says to reinstall iTunes. But I can't open iTunes to reinstall it. How can I reinstall iTunes?

I received notification of ANOTHER iTunes update being available, so I attempted to install the update on my Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows Vista. During the update process, two pop-up announced that I had a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" Runtime Error, R6034 and another pop-up that states "iTunes" iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. However, I cannot open iTunes. I get the same pop-up telling me to reinstall iTunes.
I had many songs in my iTunes library that came from sources other than iTunes, mostly my own CDs. Plus, I have nearly $100 credit remaining in the iTunes store. I'm converned I will lose the songs and store credit if I reinstall iTunes. So my questions are:
    1. How can I reinstall iTunes?
    2. If I reinstall it, will I lose my store credit and non-iTunes songs?
    Thanks,
    Jim

Nothing should be lost... However... it is both Prudent and Recommended that a backup should have been created and maintained.

Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • HOw do i reinstall itunes after a hard drive crash

Experienced a hard drive crash on my computer.  I have no backup of iTunes.  HOw can a reinstall Itunes and retrieve my purchases?

You can download and install iTunes from here www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you are in the US, and the music is still available in the store and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to purchase them, then you should be able to re-download your music purchases for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
If you are not in the US then there is currently no re-download option, so you would need to copy a backup onto the computer

  • Hi! How do I reinstall iTunes software without losing my purchased movies and music?

Hi! How do I reinstall iTunes software without losing my purchased movies and music?
    Thanks anyone!

Just reinstall. Unless something's seriously wrong with your computer, you won't lose any content or settings. Of course it's always wise to have a backup before you make any changes to your computer.
Might I ask what problem you're experiencing that you think will be corrected by reinstalling iTunes?
    Regards.

...then try downloading it from the App Store again.

  • How do i reinstall Safari for mac osx 10.7.2?

I updated my Safari from 5.1.3 (I believe) to the latest Safari 7 (I believe). When I tried to open it, it said I needed to update my osx, which I don't want to do. Now I can't seem to go back to the Safari I had. I've tried installing version 5.1.1, but it says I need to have mac osx 10.6. My osx version is 10.7.2 and don't want to upgrade yet, but how do I get Safari back, and which version of Safari works in osx 10.7.2?
What happened is not fair because when I was installing the new version of Safari, there was no warning about which osx I needed. Only after it replaced the old version did it say that I can't use it with my current osx. Is that Apple's way to force you to upgrade to the latest osx? Not fair! How can I reinstall Safari now?

On a Mac running v10.7.2, the only way to reinstall Safari is to reinstall OS X using OS X Recovery.
Safari 5.1.1 is for Snow Leopard. It will not run on a Mac with v10.7 installed.
