How do you encrypt voice memos in the itunes library so no one else at your computer can listen to them?

iTunes has no ability to encrypt anything. You'll need to search for encryption software appropriate for whatever type of computer you have. Or, you could set up separate accounts for other users of your computer and password your account.

  • How do I transfer one playlist from my itunes library to my ipod?

How do I transfer one playlist from my itunes library to my ipod. I do not want to sync my whole library music. I tried to set to *manually managing music* and drag the playlist. Doesn't work. If I try to sync *selected playlists* it wants to delete all the other music that I have on my ipod.
    Any suggestions?

Ha, it worked. Thank you anyways!

  • Ipod Classic 160gb transfer data software? Do Apple provide any facilities to recapture all music etc from an ipod classic and save them back into the itunes library or even better onto a separate pc memory or external drive for backup purposes?

I now have around 3,000 songs on my ipod Classic and still adding. I didn't want to save them in itunes library so I deleted them from there once I had them on the ipod. I have since found out that the ipod music cannot be transferred back to the itunes library nor can I extract them from the ipod directly. Do apple provide such facilities or softwareto do this and, if not, is there any recommended and safe software to perform it? I see from Google that there are plenty of programs available but I want to be sure that what I use is safe, reliable and not breaking any of Apple's terms and conditions. Any advice would be welcome.

    Hello Chris Jones,
I just found this and I'm trying to figure it out so your post is an excellent starting point, thank you! Since you posted this in Feb are there any things you would change or you found out after doing it? And how is everything running?
As a data point, I just added a SSD as the startup drive to an older mac pro (1,1) which is only used for Logic Pro and the speed now is amazing. Now I want to see if I can off-load the same things you have dealt with. Any additional insight will be greatly appreciated and thanks again for taking to time to document it.

  • Ive had a lap top from a friend, she cleared everything off it but ive downloaded itunes and all her music has appeared in the itunes library. How can i delete her music from the itunes library?

ive got a laptop from a friend, she cleared everything off it. ive downloaded itunes and for some reason all her music has appeared in the library. How do i delete her music from the itunes libary so i can add my own music?

In iTunes, select the music you want to delete (⌘+a to select all) and hit Delete on your keyboard.
Also delete the music files in Finder. Also make sure you have your own Apple ID and iTunes account and logged in.

  • How do I move rented movies from the itunes library to my 1st generation Apple TV?

Any help with this would be much appreciated. If you read the Apple help functions it all seems so simple; it just tells you to select the movie & press the move button. There is no move button on itunes!! Alternatively you are asked to select Apple TV in devices - fine - and then select the movies tab. What movies tab? Nothing at all shows up when you select the Apple TV device apart from the serial number & the IP address.
The instructions are just impossible to follow as the functions described just do not exist in itunes 10. I am just so frustrated & the only solution appears to be to rent the movie again from the Apple TV. So I have to pay twice to just watch the movie once? I HATE Apple's attitude to owners of the 1st Generation TV. They are basically just saying stuff it, we really don't care!!

Use File -> Add to Library and navigate to the
files you wish to select. You can also select a
contiguous block by holding down the shift key as you
click from first to last item in a list. Then press
the "select" button. You aiff files should be added
    to the iTunes library
    Moriond,
It worked! and on my first try. And all at one time. Thanks a million. I still have to delete all the AIFF files and name the songs and artists in my iTunes library, but I'll do that tomorrow. For now, I'll just close out my day with this great achievement, thanks to you.

  • How do you access published playlists from the iTunes Store (am using iTunes 10.7 on a windows 7 machine)? There is no link on the music page

Tried following directions in iTunes help, but there is no option on the music drop down box for playlists.

Regards the size of apps the actual size of the apps is listed on iTunes
Secondly you seem to be getting storage capacity/app size mixed up with RAM. They are two different things. The 64GB you have on your iPad is for actual storage of content whether it be apps, books, music, podcasts, video etc. RAM is the volatile memory that is used during the running of the iPad including the apps.
The system requirements including the amount of RAM needed to run are not simply because unlike computers all iPads are the same regards the internal system specs. The only differences being the actual storage capacity and whether they have 3G capability or not.
If you get an error message regards lack of system memory or RAM then doing a reset may help clear this problem. Unfortunately some developers do not optimise their apps properly for the iPad and it's not the first time an app has not run or crashed due to a lack of RAM. The best thing to do is to report it to the developer using the link on their iTunes app page.
Regards memory leaks these do occur with both software on computers as well as apps on the iPad and iPhone. These are also due to badly designed apps or software and would need to be fixed by the developers.

  • How do I add a playlist from my itunes library to a friends ipod?

How do I add one playlist from my library to their ipod, if possible? Without deleting or replacing any of their music with mine.

You don't. When you purchase music that gives you the right to listen to it, not give it away to others.

  • How do I share a playlist from my itunes library with another user on the same computer?

I would like to share a playlist with another uuser on the same computer.  We have separate itunes libraries on the same computer. How do gey my playlist from my library to hers?

I'm not sure, but maybe if you activate home sharing. It should also share playlists, not only files.
The only other way I can think of is to export the playlist and import for the other user.

  • HT2106 I downloaded my itunes library to my iphone 4S and now I am almost up to capacity.  Any suggestions on how to free up space without deleting the itunes library?  I also just backed up my phone to iCloud

How do I free up space on my iphone 4S?

Drag it from the Music item of the Finder's sidebar to an external drive, launch iTunes with the Option key held down, and point it there.
