How create a bin in lean warehouse

Hi
how to create a bin in lean warehouse, here there is no storage section only picking area is available, how to create a bin. it is not allowing me to create bin with out giving section in ls01n. how to create it.
with regards
Narendra kumar

Hi
You must create atleast one section for each storage type. With out section you will not be able to create bins. Pl define one for the Storage type in customising.

In the Warehouse Management System, you can define a variety of control parameters at warehouse number level.
    Procedure
    1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
 Picking  Shipping  Logistic Execution IMG Menu IMG   Define control parameters and number ranges for the warehouse numberLean WM  Define control parameters and number ranges for warehouse no.(double click)

    1.2.2 Defining Storage Type
    Use
A warehouse number is subdivided into a variety of storage types. A storage type is defined by its physical or organizational features (for example, high rack storage area, bulk storage, and goods receipt areas).
A storage type has a short description rather than an address.
Before you can implement Lean WM, you must configure the following settings:
    1. Assign a (newly defined) storage location to a warehouse number.(This step is defined by step 3.12 Control Plant / Storage Location / Warehouse Number Assignment
    2. You should set up at least three storage types:
a storage type (that will be used as a source storage type) with one or several fixed storage bins
a goods issue area (as destination storage type) for deliveries
an interim storage area for differences
    Procedure
    1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

    1.2.3 Defining Doors
    Use
In a WM-managed warehouse, you can define dock doors (also known as doors or gates). A door is a location where the goods either arrive in the warehouse or leave it.
You can assign different functions to a dock door, for example:
    Goods receipt
    Goods issue
Other transactions such as cross-docking and flow-through
    Procedure
    1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

    1.2.4 Defining Material Staging Areas
    Use
A staging area is an interim storage area for goods that have been received from goods receipt and afterwards need to be transferred into the warehouse.
It is also an interim storage area for goods that were picked in a warehouse and are to be loaded for goods issue through loading ramps or doors.
You can assign different functions to a staging area:
    • Goods issue
    • Goods receipt
    Procedure
    1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

    1.2.7 Defining Movement Types
    Use
The SAP R/3 System uses movement type to process movements in Inventory Management (for example, goods receipt for a purchase order or goods issue to a cost center). When the system recognizes a movement as being relevant for Warehouse Management, it assigns this movement to a WM movement type by means of a table.
The movement type for the Warehouse Management System provides the information required for stock removals or picking:
    Interim storage bin
    Fixed bin coordinate
Control indicator for processing, confirming, and printing transfer orders
    Confirmation info
    Procedure
    1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

    1.3 Print Control for Warehouse
    Use
    Print control defines the following:
    • Which slips are to be printed for the movements (that is, for the transfer orders) within the Warehouse Management System
    • How these slips are to be printed (that is, which forms are to be used, how many copies are to be printed)
    • On which printer a slip is to be printed automatically
And print control manages the print operations of the warehouse. This flexibility involves a certain degree of complexity with regard to the parameterization.
    Procedure
    1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG   Define Print Lean WM  Picking  Shipping Logistic Execution  control

1.4.1 Maintaining Number Range Intervals for Transfer Order
    Use
Maintain number range intervals for transfer order
    Procedure
In this step, you define that, the Number range for Transfer order as 01 and Group number as 01, now you should tell the system how the number range would like for 01 as transfer order and 01 for the group number, for both number range, you may define you own number range, the following information just for reference:
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
 Logistic Execution IMG Menu IMG   Define control parameters and number ranges for Lean WM  Picking Shipping   Maintain number range intervals for transfer ordersthe warehouse number  (double click)

Check if the internal number range 01 (0000000001-1000000000) has been defined
Once you have defined your number ranges, it is extremely difficult to change them afterwards when the objects concerned are filled with data.
Bear in mind that you will be entering data on a long-term basis. Create your number range intervals accordingly.
1.4.2 Maintaining Number Range Intervals for Reference Numbers
    Use
Reference number range has the following meanings:
This number identifies a number range to be used for the assignment of sequential numbers for WM reference numbers. Reference numbers are used to create or print a group of transfer orders at one time.
A sequential number generated by the system for the purpose of multiple processing of transfer requirements and delivery notes.
The reference number can also be used to print the resulting transfer orders at a later time.
    Procedure
In this step, you define that, the Number range for Transfer order as 01 and Group number as 01, now you should tell the system how the number range would like for 01 as transfer order and 01 for the group number, for both number range, you may define you own number range, the following information just for reference:

  • In warehouse management how to post stock in the warehouse by using physica

    hi
in warehouse management how to post stock in the warehouse by using physical inventory method
can anyone tell me the process in detail
    thanksin advance.

    HI ,
In Ware house management you can block the stock for Physical Inventory purpose. You cannot post the stock to the warehouse using Physical Invenory.
If there is a count going on so the concerned Warehouse bin is to be blocked during Inventory so that no further goods movement is possible during that period.
Once the Physical Inventory ids done the block can be released so that the movement can again happen.
The Inventory mangement initiates the transfer requirement. This transfer requirement is used for creating the transfer orders. The transfer order confirmation is done then which actually places the stock in the concerned bin mentioned in the order.
The stock in WM can be checked in LX24/ LX26 which is same as theat of MMBE of MM.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to do BIN to BIN transfers in WM

    Hi Guys
How to do BIN to BIN transfers in WM
And also warehouse to ware house transfers

Please use LT10 ,in this you mention warehouse , storage type & bin from which material is to be transfered& then execute. This will take you to stock transfer overview screen where you can select the line of storage bin & press stock transfer foreground button. After pressing it will take you to screen "Specify destination data "where you can select required storage type & bin. After selecting these details you can press copy & then system creats TO for you.
If you select display log it will display TO
    OR
Use t-code LT01 also, use the movement type 999 for internal transfer Bin to Bin with the same storage type, next step input the related information, for example, which parts from which bin to the destination bin? How many quantity? Then click the button of "Execute", that's okay!

How exactly it picks up a specific data value during Hourly aggregations and Daily aggregations? As in  How the value is chosen. Does it say averages out or simply picks  value at the start of the hour/day or end of the hour/day ??

I'll try one more time. :)
Views in the operations console are derived from data in the operational database. This is always raw data, and typically does not go back more than 7 days.
Reports get data from the data warehouse. Unless you create a custom report that uses raw data, you will never see raw data in a report - Microsoft and probably all 3rd party vendors do not develop reports that fetch raw data.
Reports use aggregated data - hourly and daily. The data is aggregated by min, max, and avg sample for that particular aggregation. If it's hourly data, then you will see the min, max, and avg for that entire hour. Same goes for daily - you will see the
min, max, and avg data sample for that entire day.
And to try clarifying even more, the values you see plotted on the report are avg samples. If you drill into the performance detail report, then you can see the min, max, and avg samples, as well as standard deviation (which is calculated based on these
    three values).

  • Lean warehouse - List of Business Process

    Dear Experts,
Can you please tell us what are the List of Business Processes applicable with respect to Lean warehouse management.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Selvakumar. M

    Hi,
Movement of stock or stock change takes place at storage location level in Lean warehouse. in lean ware house thestock place ment and removal takes place only till storage location level wheres as  in fully blown ware house  the stock place ment and removal takes place till bin level. Hence lean warehouse is like the inventory management. You can have all the scenarios as in inventory management. Thanking you.

  • Storage Bin Scenario in Warehouse

    Hi,
How could be the scenario in warehouse for Bin ?
In What order it will contain Handling Unit, Quant, Materials.
    Thanks ...

    Hi,
hope this is what you have asked for.
    Physical Warehouse Structure:
After Goods Receipt goods reach GR area-->Say High Rack Storage/Bulk Storage/Fix Bin Area, then after GI moved to GI area.
to elaborate more after GR-->  in GR area we have storage type say A, and respective Storage Types for High Rack Storage/Bulk Storage/Fix Bin Area can be D, E and F respectively.
Bin Types: High bins,  Lower Bins depending upon Fast Moving Items in the storage section.
    WM in system hierarchy :-
    WH Number>Storage Type>Storage Section/Picking area>Storage Bin>Quant
    Quants are defined by --
    - Material / Batch
    - Stock Category
    - Special Stock
    - Plant / Storage Location
    - Storage Unit Number

  • Difference between 1.Centralised 2.Decentralised 3.Lean Warehouse

    Difference between
    1.Centralised 2.Decentralised 3.Lean Warehouse

    Hi,
Centralised warehouse: manage goods movements and stock changes in the warehouse at storage bin level.
Decentralised warehouse: standalone system, is used  for the storage of goods and for the distribution of goods, represents the link between internal and external logistics.
3rd party ERP also can be integrated with Decentralised warehouse.
Lean warehouse - Inventory can be managed at storage location level, can not be managed at bin level using the quants.
Solely for goods receipts and goods issues.
    Implement Lean WM in a fixed bin warehouse;
    Random storage is not possible.
Lean wm does not update stocks at bin level
    Adv:  reprint transfer orders
            split transfer orders
Disadv: can not process stock differences
    Thanks,
    Ganga raju.

  • In wms difference between lean warehouse and central warehous

    hi
this is very important that could any body tell me
    what is lean warehouse
    what is centeral warehouse
    what is the differe

    Hi
Lean ware house can also said as clean warehouse
here the basic difference between central WH is the material is always stored in  or inventory is maintained in FIXED storage bins
Always the material is kept in FIXED storage bins
That is Picking area is fixed
This will have the organizational structures mainly Warehouse no,storage type,Picking area(fixed storage bins),doors and staging area
But a Central warehouse has random storage bins
Apart from all the organizational structures mentioned in lean it will also have storage sections ,reserve storage bins, strategies for picking like LIFO and FIFO,replinishment and inventory at storage bin level
WH is big concept in SAP and there is a separate forum SCM LOGISTICS EXECUTION here
    Pls post it there
    You will get more inputs

Authentication and Attribute Retrieval Search List and AD in Additional Attribute Retrieval Search List. Then select this sequence as the result in the identity policy for the service

How create header with user id time date to VC-report's output as display ?
This info should come from the VC - not all the way from R3-side via FunctionModule/BABI. So only userid, date, time to output as normal text (which is not editable of course). Thanks =)
