How create flxetime in Work Schedule

the shift schedule for the following timings as Flexi timing is
u2022         8.00 am to 5.15 pm
u2022         8.15 am to 5.30 pm
u2022         8.30 am to 5.45 pm
u2022         also i can create (For 1st and 3rd Saturday off , 2nd and 4th Saturday off)
This shift timings are employee come at any flexi time.

Dear Satya,
You can simply create a Daily work schedule with the felxi time and this will solve the problem.
Under the Customizations:
Define Daily Work Schedules => Under your Daily work Schedule
Go to working times tab and here you have the option of Flexi Time
under the planned working time you enter 8 to 5:45
Under the core time you enter 8:30 to 5:15
08:00 - 08:30 : Flextime
08:30 - 05:15 : Core time 1
05:15 - 05:45 : Flextime
This will allow the flexi times, also please read the F1 documentation of the field for more information.

Problem in creating part time work schedules

Hello All,
I have to create some part time work schedules rules for part time employees
Work: Tuesdays to Fridays
a)Tues-Thurs 6.5 hours per day i.e. 9.30 to 5
9:30 u2013 14:30 work
14:30 u2013 15:30 - 1hr lunch break
3:30 u2013 17:00
b) Friday - 7 hours (9:30 to 14:30)
Total hours per week are= 26.5
1) I created one fixed break schedule 14:30 u2013 15:30 (unpaid)
2) I created 2 Daily work schedules
Tuesday to Thursday u2013 NOR & (created variant A)
Only Friday u2013 NOR1
3) I created one Period work schedule u2013
P/Time u2013 Mon is FREE, Tue to Thursday as NOR , Fridayas NOR1 & Sat, Sun as FREE
4) When I try to create Work schedule rule I got stuck in between:
I configured weekly working hours as 26.5
I configured monthly & annually working hours.
But I had problem to put daily working hours???
because Tue u2013 Thurs are 19.5 hours (6.5 into 3) & Friday (7Hrs) =26.5
Hence how to I club both the working patterns in one Work schedule rule???
Please help me out in same

Can u tell wht are the other feilds there
26.5 hrs is the Combination of two Periodic Work Schedule right ..........if yes
26.5/31 31 is ur working days

How to create/maintain individual work schedule instead of employee subgr.

We want to create a work schedule for every employee as they may come in any shift.we are implimenting negative time mgt.
As in sap we have to group our employees for work schedule,can anybody guide on this.

Y u Want to go with Individual WSR its impossible to configure.
Do one thing Create all types of shifts and in Period Work Schedule normally u assign it in normal rotation.
Now In your scenario maintain for each employees IT2051 in which his WSR from IT0007 will be maintained directly. Now when an employee changes from the proposed shift then you can directly maintain in IT2051 his actual shift.
Now daily Time administrator should run a report where in he must have all employees actual shift and tell him to directly upload each employee's IT2051.

Status Change).
System users who are changing a work schedule must pay careful attention to the effective date for such change. The Work Schedule change should always become effective on a date for which no time has yet been entered. Entering an effective date that occurs in a time period for which hours have already been entered will result in serious time entry errors.

Doubt Regarding Creating Work Schedules

Hello People,
I have recently started taking SAP HR training and currently in Time mgt module...I am stuck up in the creation of work schedules.
I have created a scenario /requirement where i have got 3 shifts in a day and i want my production people to work 24/7 in the factory as i dont want the manufacturing machine to be idle.I have created 3 shifts namely
Shift 1- 7 am - 3 pm
Shift 2- 3 pm - 11 pm
Shift 3- 11 pm - 7 am next day
I dont want the machine to be idle on any day ,so i want people to keep on continously working on the machine.Each shift has got 2 breaks.There are 3 batches of people(say 30) who are in the prod dept.
Batch 1 will work from Mon - Sat(sun day off)
Batch 2 will work from Tue - Sun (Mon day off)
Batch 3 will work from Wed - Mon(Tue day off)
Remember all the 3 batches will have one day off.i have not gone more further in time mgt(so wont be aware of shift planning ,dynamic work schedules) so will it be possible to create thework schedules for the above requirement.
Please advise me how to create DWS,Period Work Schedules and how many should i create.If anybody can clear the basic concept of creating /how to create the work schedules .
Help/Guidance would be highly appreciated.

As Ravi said, I'd like to explain in more detail:
3 DWS needed as follows:
Shift 1: 7 am - 3 pm
Shift 2: 3 pm - 11 pm
Shift 3: 11 pm - 7 am next day
Also create a DWS for the OFF day.
Then apply these DWS' in PWS as:
001- Shift A Shift A   ShiftA   Shift A   Shift A   Shift A    OFF
002-   OFF    Shift B    Shift B ShiftB    Shift B    Shift B   Shift B
003- Shift C    OFF      ShiftC   Shift C   Shift C    Shift C   Shift C
While creating Work schedule Rules, we need to assign the 'Start point in PWS' field as 001 keeping 'Ref. date' field as any day which comes as Monday
Use this Period work schedule in creating your Work schedule rule and generate the WSRs.

Period Work Schedule

Dear All,
Can any one guide how to define Period work schedule having 2nd and 4rth saturdays of everymonth as Off/Paid.
How many PWS we need to generate and how to analyze the same.
Plz revert asap.
Also suggest how to define the day types. As of now, there is no need to create any daytypes.
In simulation run it is showing some error regarding PWS
and of Date specification

Here is the process...
1. Public Holiday creation (Holiday classes are important here...b, 1, 2, 3 to 9)
2. Assigning them to Holiday Calendar
3. Creating break schedule...for the break timings
4. Creating Rules for variants for special cases like half days and PH's
5. Creating a Work Schedule...to define the working times of an employee
6. Creating a Period Work schedule....to define the week with the help of work schedules
7. Defining selections rules...to define the day (Day types,,,b, 1, 2, and 3 to 9)
8. Defining Groupings...to define diff emp and diff personnel areas
9. Generating the work schedules to get the calendar for employee/s (either by manual process or batch)

Flexible work schedule

Hi,
My client requires, certain group of employees will work 9 days in a fortnight (14 days), 8.44 hours daily. Employee can take a day off, any day during the fortnight. Earlier they used to work 7.6 hours a day, 10 days in a fortnight. Now to get an additional day off, they need to work 8.44 hous a day. Kindly suggest me how should I prepare a work schedule ?

As I know, I have to create a daily work schedule of 8.44 hours (lets say 9DAY - 8.44 hours). After daily work schedule is created, I need to create a period work schedule (Lets say FLEX). This period work schedule will consist of two weeks. But my problem is, how my period work schedule will be configured?
                         Mon    Tue   Wed Thu   Fri    Sat         Sun
For week 001                                                  FREE   FREE
For week 002                                                  FREE   FREE
Just tell me what should I assign from Mon to Fri for both weeks.
Note: Employee can take any one day off during this fortnight.
He can take one day off in first week, means 4 working days in the first week and 5 working days in the 2nd week.
He can also take one day off in the 2nd week means, 5 working days in the first week and 4 working days in the 2nd week.
or you may have an alternative solution for this.

dear experts,
I have one issue to create work schedule for the next year. I want to create(pt01) active work schedule for the next year(2012).
However i have issue because I don't remember which work schedule still active.This is because we have hundreds
of work schedule rule based on emp sub group grouping, holiday calendar,psa grouping and w schedule rule.
Is there any reports to check all the active work schedule .I'm afreaid ihave missing certain work schedule for next year...

If you use the IMG node for automatic generation of Work Schedule Rules
(Time Management > Work Schedules > Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules > Generate Work Schedules in Batch)
you can generate all work schedules associated to a Holiday Calendar
and only the active work schedules will be generated.

Global Payroll-Assign Work Schedule IN HCM 9.1

Work Schedule Problem

Dear All,
I have a scanerio where the client works on the Odd saturdays of every month and have a weekly off on even saturdays. It is possible to have 53 line items in Period work schedules and get the WSR, but is thare any other method we can use(For eample Day Types, or VArients etc) Any imputs are helpful

Hi,
While creating your Period work schedule..do so for all the weeks of the year (52/53) marking every relavant saturday as OFF or working.
The system wil allow you to create 53 lines for 53 weeks for a PWS. This is actually one of the methods used to incorporate ur requirement.
The other is by using "special days" where in you can have a normal PWS as 6 day working and then under Special days node, you can specify the dates of all the saturdays u want to be as OFF and define a day type for them as "1 - OFF/Paid" to make them as non-workin days.
Use documentation on "Day types" node for more help.

If Monday to Friday Gen shift timing is 9.30 to 6pm & Saturday half day 9.30 to 2pm.
So can define in PWS , Monday to friday same DWS & friday other DWS & Sunday OFF.
Monday-Friday ---One DWS
Saturday----
Other DWS &
Sunday -
OFF, is it correct?

Configure selecion rules, and create the daily work schdule and assign to PWS.

I would like to create some dummy Work Schedules based on exisiting Work Schedules, so I presume that I just copy the exisiting entries in T508A and rename? Is it that easy or do I need to consider something else when doing this?

Hello,
You can do that. If you want to have a whole new dummy customizing on work schedule you should:
1. Have a customizing for Day types (there is no need indeed)
2. These day types are associated with Period WS
3. Inside these period WS, we have Daily WS.
4. Inside Daily WS, we have the Break Schedules
5. The WS Rule ties everything up.
6. The WS rule is associated to the pernr on IT0007. So, if you want a whole customizing you should check all of this.
Here are the tables, but it's best if you follow the WS customizing:
- V_T508A     Work Schedule Rule
- V_T550A     Daily Work Schedule
- V_T550P     Work Break Schedule
- V_T551A     Period Work Schedule
