It's hard to believe that a program like Logic, that has more information than the New York Public Library, does not have a simple solution for tieing notes. Maybe Logic XI will have one, or "Logicians" can speak to Sibelius for a more "note-worthy" way to solving the problem so that the score editor can be more accessible for editing purposes for those that read and write manuscript. Ties are generally automatically created as necessary. Simply adjust the length of the note in the Score (using DurationBars or the Inspector), or in the Piano Roll or Event list.

It did serve to definitively answer my most pressing
question, however, with this statement:

Why does iPhoto have the ability to put photos in events and to give them descriptions if it doesn't transfer this info with the photo. I want to back my photos up to an external drive.

The simplest way to achieve what you want is to back up the iPhoto Library. That will get everything.
You sem to be exporting from iPhoto to the Finder. The Finder does not have the same organisation capabilities as iPhoto. If you're going to do that you need to understand some of the differences between the two.
Event Name will become Folder Name.
'Description Name' I guess is the Title you give the Photo
Jpeg Number is the File Name assigned by your camera.
So: File -> Export
Set your Kind to Jpeg
Select your preferred Quality
Check the Boxes at 'Titles and Descriptions' and Location Information
Under FIlename select 'Use Title'
Click on Export. In the Next Window choose a New Folder as your export destination and then Name that as you prefer

You can create and use condition indices. You can use these indices to display, change and create condition records with reference. This transaction can include condition records with several condition types and tables. For example, you can use a condition index if you want to see all condition records that apply to a particular product regardless of whether the records are prices or discounts. In this case, you can use one of the standard condition indexes. Or you may want to see a list of condition records that contain a particular sales deal and a material from a user-specified list of products. To display this information, you can create your own condition index.
Creating a condition index is similar to creating a condition table. In Customizing for Sales, you select the combination of fields that you want in the index key. The system automatically proposes a list of permitted fields to choose from. The fields you specify for the key can have a maximum combined length of 100 characters.
The activation function displays a list of all available condition indexes and indicates which are active. The system can use a condition index only when it is activated. Before you can use the indexes that are delivered in the standard version, you must first activate them in Customizing for Sales. Some indices are activated automatically during generation. If you mean that the card is being reported as not being properly activated when you go to redeem it, what you normally should do is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They will ask for a scan of the front and back sides of the card as well as a copy of the receipt

As far as I'm aware you're referring to the passcode. It seems that you've forgot the passcode that you've inserted, so your best bet is to connect your iPod to iTunes and have it restored back to factory settings. You'll be able to find the restore button by clicking on your iPod's name that's located right below the "Device's Tab."
