How delete podcasts files in ipad.

I am not able to delete downloaded  files from podcasts

If you are used to a Windows computer and now have an iPad, you might be thinking the same thing.  iOS doesn't want you to worry about files on your iPad, so everything is run through the apps themselves.
If you need a bit more control of your files, you might like FileManger Pro, it's 4.99, but it will manage them through Dropbox, iCloud, etc.  Everything is now run throught the cloud usually, which means you might have to pay for Cloud Storage with a Apple device.  Hence cloud storage is popular these days, and also dangerous if you know a little about hacking.
Here are your file management options through another app you download with the App Store,
Best File Management with iPad, iPhone:  http://bit.ly/X2KPHb
Now if you do have a Windows, or a Mac Computer, plug it into your USB on your computer and install iTunes Software.  It will lManage your files through the iTunes Software.  First on iTunes go to your iPad button on the top right, then click on your Menu where it Says Apps, and manually control the Files from there.
Dropbox is a helpful for a lot of this and the File Manger Pro will integrate the file management there, so it's worth the 4.99 for that option too, it also integrates with the iCloud and other Cloud option you may have.

  • Can I delete podcast files from iTunes?

I am running iTunes11.2.2 on an iMac, OS X Lion. In older versions of iTunes I could use iTunes' Delete function to remove a podcast from the iTunes library; a dialog box would display confirming removal from iTunes, then a secondary dialog box would display asking if I wanted to keep the file or move it to the trash. This function is similar to the workflow that displays if you want to delete a song from the iTunes library.
Over the past several versions of iTunes I have found that I cannot delete podcast files from the iTunes interface. I can remove the podcast from iTunes, but no dialog displays asking me if I want to keep the file or move the file to the trash. I must now navigate to the file's home in Finder and manually delete it from there.
Does anyone know if this delete functionality was removed altogether? There may be a setting in iTunes that I am missing but I need help being pointed in the right direction. It is frustrating that Apple would seemingly take away this function for podcasts, yet leave it in place for other media types in the iTunes library.

Had the same problem, finally realized that the FileVault Encryption was struck at 19%. Speed back up to normal after I disabled FileVault using terminal command - sudo fdesetup diable
To check whether the FileVault is the culprit, go to System Preferences --> Security & Privacy --> FileVault to see if encryption is in progress.. For me the blue bar was less than a quarter with status 'estimating time remaining'..
Then open Terminal and type in: sudo fdesetup disable
It will then ask for the admin password (to be it asked twice), then it was disabled... Back to normal life again..

  • How delete a file in mac os x?

How delete a file in mac os x with a keyboard key? In windows would be removed whit delete.
    Thanks.

Finally a solution that makes sense!  I can't seem to make it work though. Here's what I've done so far:
Went to system prefs > keyboard > keyboard, checked "use F1, F2, etc.. as standard function keys.."
Went to keyboard shortcuts > Application Shortcuts, clicked on "+"
Selected  "Finder", entered "Move To Trash" (no ") and F12.
Tested it.  It  opened the dashboard instead.
Went back to "keyboard shortcuts", found F12 already assigned to open the dashboard, unchecked it.
Tested again.  After a short "beep", the last file in the folder became highlighted.  That's it.
Tried with F1. Same thing. Changed "Finder" to "All applications". Same thing.  "Help" doc was useless.
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.  If you do, please let me know.  Thanks a lot.
(Note: there is no check box next to the shortcut I created)

  • ITunes is deleting podcast files when I don't want it to.

I installed the latest version of iTunes and set my podcast settings to only dowload podcasts from the last week (since it was trying to download podcast files that I had previously listened to, then deleted), and delete podcasts was set to off.
Now, all of the sudden, it is deleting podcast files that are 1) older than a week and 2) dowloaded with the new iTunes.
I want to go back to the old iTunes behaviour of downloading only the most recent podcast (unless it has been previously downloaded) and only deleting files if done manually!

I have to agree. I've been using iTunes/iPods exclusively for listening to podcasts since 2008, and within the past year it's just gotten increasingly frustrating and confusing to use both iTunes and my iPod for this purpose. I just found this thread because my iPod auto-deleted a podcast that I'd only listened to for 10 minutes; and I don't want it to ever delete podcasts without my consent. Truly infuriating.

  • How delete other storage from ipad air?

How delete other storage from ipad air?

The iOS will NOT automatically delete "other" if the device gets full. That is totally incorrect.
"Other" is basically all of the data and stuff that does not fit into any of the other categories on the device, like apps, photos, music, videos, and so on. It contains Safari Bookmarks and History, Notes, Contacts, Email messages, Text Messages, photos assigned to contacts, cached app data (but not documents themselves) etc. When "other" becomes too large, it can take up a lot of space and cause problems. It should not be more than a few GB at most and for most people it would probably be around 400MB - 2 GB.
IF something gets corrupted on the iPad and "other" grows out of control, you may have to restore the device in order to clear that data. One starting point troubleshooting step for dealing with the problem is to backup your iPad, restore to factory settings and then restore the backup. There are also other less invasive things that you can try first.
A Google search will turn up many articles that talk about how to reduce "other" on an iOS device.

  • How to delete CR2 files from iPad

I recently used the camera connection kit to download photos (JPEG and Raw) from my Canon G12 to my iPad.  Since I have gotten home, I have been transferring the photos to iPhoto on my MacBook Pro.  When I try to delete the photos from my iPad, it will delete the JPEG but not the CR2 Raw file.  Since the Photos app on the iPad doesn"t "see" the Raw files, I can't delete them directly on the iPad and there doesn't seem to be any way to do it from iPhoto when my iPad is connected to my MacBook Pro.  Any thoughts on how to do this?  Thanks.  Glen

  • How to Delete crashreporter files on iPad 1 on iOs 5.1.1

I would like to know what is supposed to do to delete old crashreporter dump files on the iPad to make room for new incidents crash reports
    I am getting now

I saw some information about deleting the files through iFile or ssh but this would need the iPad to be jailbroken - so not an option for me.
I have been unable to find any posts or information to advise on how to purge old CrashReporter files

Anybody from Apple here on these forums?
Surely the answer can't be to jail-break the iPad or reset to factory defaults !

  • ITunes automatically deleted Podcast file location?

    Hello,
I recently had an interesting situation that I can't seem to solve so I thought I'd turn to the community for help.  I currently subscribe to a particuar podcast and have the iTunes settings configured to ONLY keep the two most recent episodes before iTunes automatically deletes older episodes. Everything was going smoothly until this week when I realized that I actually wanted to keep an episode that was automatically downloaded (the episode that was deleted was deleted today and I started serching for it today).
The simple answer would be for me to just re-download the episode that iTunes automatically deleted...but that is not possible.  Unfortunately, the episode that I was saving is no longer available so I can't re-download it (yes, an episode from three weeks ago is no long available to download because the podcaster changed the episode and re-uploaded a new shorter episode in it's place).  After checking the trash, I noticed the file wasn't there so I turned to a file recovery program (Disk Drill).  After running the utility, I was able to locate all of the podcasts that I had manually deleted, but the podcast episodes that iTunes automatically removed (due to the settings I put in place) are not included in the list of files.
I'm assuming that iTunes must delete the files in some other method, but if that's the case, the files have to go somewhere, right?  Any ideas on where these files may be located...or any thoughts on how to recover the podcast episode?
Thanks to anyone for any assistance or thoughts.
    T.J.

Thanks, Jeremy292.  I was looking for a word and didn't notice the icon.

  • How to transfer files from ipad to new computer

I am trying to find out how to transfer files, (Music, Videos, Ect.) from my iPad to a another computer. I lost all my files on my computer and it won't let me recover my files from my iPad and save them on my new install.

Honestly there is no real way unless these are items you have purchased from iTunes.  There is an option to Transfer Purchases from iPad but these are only going to be Apps, Music, Videos, etc. that you purchased and downloaded from the App Store/iTunes (you can also do the same by just opening up iTunes on your computer, going to iTunes Store, then going to Purchases, and downloading your purchases).
If they are files that you haven't purchased through the App Store/iTunes then you won't be able to transfer those back to your computer.

  • How delete a file

    hi all
i use developer 6i on windows 2000 advanse server.
i want to delete a file that is in specific path on my hard disk (through my form in runtime).
in my form i use this command
    HOST('DEL d:\filename.txt ');
    but it doesn't work.
    how could i do that?
    thanks in advance
    shoja.

and the second way without this line
Without? It's very strange. I will probably check this.
The following is just my opinion. I might be wrong. (Sorry for my English :) ):
If you read the OS documentation, you would find out that there are 2 types of commands in OS:
    1. Internal command. It is a command which executes by "command processor". COMSPEC environment variable contains a name of the command processor.
    2. External command. It is a command which is represented by external file (A file with .EXE, .COM, .BAT extensions).
Names of command processor are different in Win95 and NT. If you want to execute Internal commands, you should execute a command processor with '/c' switch. You should use COMMAND.COM in Win95/Win98 and you should use CMD.EXE in WinNT/Win2000. In both version you could use the COMSPEC environment variable to get the correct name of a command processor.
P.S. Also, you could use d2kwutil library (you can download it from metalink.oracle.com. Maybe you can dowload it from otn.oracle.com too). It works faster than DEL command, because you don't need to run (and load) any external programs.

I downloaded loads of videos from a podcast last night, and now my iPad only has just over 400 MB so how do you delete the podcasts you don't want any more?

When looking at a list of episodes swipe your finger right to left on the right hand side of the entry. You should reveal a delete button which does just that.
