How dependent OER is from OSR

I read "Oracle Enterprise Repository promotes only services that have
endpoints and hosted WSDL to Oracle Service Registry ... It is recommended that you harvest from the runtime environment to obtain the endpoints and WSDL location." I am prefering to avoid the use of OSR because I am not seeing advantages to use it. But I am very interested to use OER right now.
Could I harvest all concrete wsdl from OSB, IIS or Web Logic with no worries about UDDI? I will implement gradually OSB then, there will be three locations to be harvested: OSB, IIS or Web Logic. But I am not implementing OSR at the first phase. Should I have some specifics concerned about this apart from the UDDI compliances?
The guide I read it from is:
Oracle® Fusion Middleware
Configuration Guide for Oracle Enterprise Repository
11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.3)
E16580-12

I would appreciate so much if someone who has implemented both OER and OSR or implemented OSR without OER could comment how much dependent OER is from OSR. I believe that OER must work fine without OSR. My intention is to harvest assets from developer's IDE straight forward to Repository.

    Hi
You have to import your logo in SAP by SE78 before using it in a SAPSCRIPT.
    So have you done it?
If yes, it depends on how you have imported the logo:
    - As std text:
INCLUDE <LOGO TEXT> OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE <LANGUAGE>
    - As graphic:
BITMAP <LOGO GRAPHIC> OBJECT GRAPHICS ID BMAP TYPE BCOL

Though you can initiate the binary from your client side but for the file creation, there is no other way but to store it on the server side. So your best bet would be to get some space free on the server side of yours.

  • [Tutorial] How to Disconnect Spotify from Facebook

How to Disconnect Spotify from Facebook
This is not an officially supported Spotify workaround.
It seems to be a common request on the community to want to disconnect accounts from Facebook.
If you wish to do this, then follow the instructions below closely.
Please note: It is highly recommended that you log in and cancel your subscription IF and ONLY IF you are planning to deactivate your Facebook and you have Spotify account created with Facebook , as once you have done that, you may not be able to log in to cancel. You may also want to log into your online profile and set all the email notifications to "Never" to stop Spotify sending you emails on that account.
This serves as a "Do It Yourself" guide since it is the fastest way to disconnect from Facebook. If you have a premium/unlimited subscription or would rather have someone at Spotify assist you in doing this, don't hesitate to get in touch with customer services instead using the online contact form.
    1.  Check your account type.
The method of how to disconnect from Facebook depends on how you originally created your account.
If you have a dedicated Spotify username and password, then go to step 2a.
If you created your Spotify account using Facebook, and therefore log in using your Facebook email address and password, go to step 2b.
If you log in using Facebook normally, but are unsure if you created your Spotify account using Facebook or a Spotify username, log into your online profile using your Facebook details. If you see a username consisting of ten digits you're likely using a Spotify account created through Facebook. and need to go to step 2b.
    2a. Disconnect from Facebook.
Since you have a dedicated Spotify account, disconnecting from Facebook is easy.
    In the desktop client:
Windows - Go to Edit > Preferences > Social Network > Disconnect from Facebook.
Mac - Go to Spotify > Preferences > Social Network > Disconnect from Facebook.
Once you have done that, your Spotify account is no longer linked to Facebook, you need not continue any of the steps below.
You may find due to data caching in the client, that you still see Facebook information (such as the People list) hanging around, a quick clean reinstallation of the application should fix that for you.
If you can't see the option to connect/disconnect, then you are logged into a Spotify account created with Facebook not a dedicated Spotify one.
    2b. Create a new account.
Disconnecting from Facebook is not possible if you have a Spotify account created with Facebook.
You can obviously select not to share your activity on Facebook from the Preferences menu, however, if you wish to completely disconnect then read on.
If you wish to stop using your Spotify account created through Facebook, then you will need to create a new dedicated Spotify account from the signup page which should now be available in all launch countries. Once you have done that, make sure to note down your new Spotify username and password and keep them in a safe place. Continue to step 3.
The easiest and quickest way to move your playlists from one account to another is explained in steps 3 and 4. Since there is no way to directly transfer playlists from one account to another, this process subscribes your new dedicated Spotify account to the playlists on your old Spotify account created via Facebook.
    3. Backup Playlists
The easiest and quickest way to backup your playlists is to sign into your Spotify account created with Facebook and simply drag and drop them from the left sidebar of the desktop client onto your desktop, or into a folder. This will store links to those playlists locally.
    4. Restore Playlists
Log into your new dedicated Spotify account, created in step 2b.
Now, drag and drop your playlists from your desktop (or folder) into the Spotify client, and they should reappear. These playlists won't be editable, since they are still "owned" by your old account. However, once you have got them into the client, if you want to make them editable you just need to make a new Playlist (File > New Playlist) and then copy and paste all the tracks from the uneditable one into the new one. You can also drag a subscribed playlist to the "New Playlist" button which will instantly copy the playlist and make it owned by you (Thanks Stupify for this awesome tip!)
The fastest way to highlight all the tracks is to click on the playlist, press Ctrl/Cmd+a and then press Ctrl/Cmd+c to copy them. Then navigate to your new playlist and press Ctrl/Cmd+v to paste. Continue to step 5 (if applicable).
    5. If you have an unlimited/premium subscription…
There is no easy way for you to transfer an unlimited/premium subscription from one account to another.
The simplest and fastest way to get back up and running is to simply unsubscribe from the subscription page on your old Spotify account created using Facebook and then resubscribe on your new account. I would recommend you cancel and then use up all your remaining premium days on your old account before you subscribe again, you have already paid for them!
6 (Optional). Request the removal of your Spotify account created using Facebook.
If you wish to request your Spotify account created through Facebook be disabled then please read and follow the instructions in this topic.
I would strongly suggest that if you do not do this step, that you at least log into your online profile on your old Spotify account created with Facebook and set all email notifications to "Never" to stop Spotify sending you any emails.
Once you have completed the required steps above, you should have a complete Spotify account which is not in any way connected to Facebook.
    Happy Listening!
    Peter
If you have any issues with your account, or in following these steps, then the Spotify team will be happy to help, just drop them an email using the online contact form.
I do not work for or in anyway professionally connected to Spotify.

    Hey :)
    Did you read step 1?
If you created your account using Facebook, you won't have the disconnect from Facebook option, since your account is tied to Facebook. In that case you will need a new account as described in the tutorial.

  • How Can I Print from my Microsoft Surface Running Windows 8 RT?

How Can I Print from my Microsoft Surface Running Windows 8 RT?
Most new wireless printers won’t have a problem printing from the Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 RT.  All you should have to do for these printers is tell them to print and they will.  Older wireless, Ethernet, and USB printers might not have an officially supported driver in Windows 8 RT, but there is a way to get the printers working.  There are different requirements depending on how the printer is being connected to the Surface.
Note:  All steps below are only for PhotoSmart, OfficeJet, DeskJet, and other HP Inkjet printers.  These steps are not for Laserjet printers or printers from other manufacturers.  These steps may not work for all Inkjet printers.  If these steps don’t work, try different drivers from the list until you find one that will work (you’ll understand what I mean once you follow the steps below).  If none of the drivers work, your printer will not work with the Surface.
For networked printers (wireless or Ethernet), all you need is either the Surface keyboard, or an external USB keyboard to connect to the Surface.  This just makes anything you have to type easier to type.  You will also need to have the Surface and the printer connected to the same network.
Starting from the right edge, swipe your finger left on the Surface screen to bring up the Charms bar.
    Touch Search.
Below the Search Box, touch Settings.
In the search Box, type Devices and Printers.
    Touch Devices and Printers.
    Touch Add a Printer.
Touch “My printer is not listed”.
Select the TCP/IP option and touch Next.
Enter the printer’s IP address and touch Next.  Note:  You can get this from the printer’s Network Configuration Page, or from your router’s DHCP list.
The Surface will locate the printer and try to install it.  The install will fail and the Surface will ask you what you want to do, search the internet for the driver, or manually install the driver.  Choose to install the driver yourself.
Touch “I want to choose from a list of drivers”.
If no drivers appear in the list, make sure the box next to “Show compatible drivers” is not checked.
Choose HP from the Manufacture list.
Choose DeskJet PCL 3 Class Driver from the Drivers list.  If that driver doesn't work, try using the Photosmart PCL3 driver, or the Officejet PCL 3 driver.  (Thank you JonW for letting me know about these other alternates. )
    Touch Next.
    Touch Finish.
    Test printing.
For USB connected printers, you will need a USB cord to attach the printer to the computer.
Connect the printer to the computer via USB.
Windows will try to find the drivers but will not be able to.
Here Windows may ask you if you want to choose the driver to install.  If it does skip to step 14 below.
Starting from the right edge, swipe your finger left on the Surface screen to bring up the Charms bar.
    Touch Search.
Under the Search box, touch Settings.
In the Search box, type Device Manager.
    Touch Device Manager.
Touch View and select Show Hidden.
Search for the printer in the Device Manager.  It should be under Other Devices with a yellow caution sign beside it.
Select the printer from the list.
    Touch Action.
Touch Update Driver, or Install whichever one it displays.
The Surface will ask you what you want to do, search the internet for the driver, or manually install the driver.

    Hello Debadrita,
Function Module BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL2 or BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL can help you.
For BAPI BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL, the parameters are:
    1) PLANNINGBOOK - the name of your planning book
    2) DATA_VIEW - name of your data view
    3) KEY_FIGURE_SELECTION - list of key figures you want to read
    4)  SELECTION - selection parameters which describe the attributes of the data you want to read (e.g. the category or brand). This is basically a list of characteristics and characteristic values.
BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL2 is very similar to BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAI but is only available from SCM 4.1 onwards.
For the complete list of parameters, you can go to transaction SE37, enter the function module names above and check out the documentation.
Please post again if you have questions.
    Hope this helps.

I want to use my old iphone for my kids as an ipod.  How do I keep from getting text messages on it when it is turned on?  If it is on, and my droid razar is on, text messages will go to the iphone. It is either a 4 or 4s ...I don't have Siri, so I think it's a 4.  Thanks

Another thing to remember is the phone is actually usable for 911 calls and maybe others. Not a real good idea. Especially for a child.
It would depend however on the age of the child.
    Good Luck

Can anyone tell me how to find what OS I'm using on the Mac?
    Tiger or Leopard?
Also, how do I update from 10.6.8 to the latest version?

Go to the Apple menu and select "About This Mac". You will get a window similar to this one -
You current OS X version number will be shown as I've marked.
OS X 10.4.x is Tiger, 10.5.x is Leopard, 10.6.x is Snow Leopard, 10.7.x is Lion, and 10.8.x is Mountain Lion.
Whether or not you can go to the latest OS X version depends upon your hardware -
You will need to purchase the retail set for the OS X version you want; there is no pint in getting and installing any intermediate versions. Once the retail version has been installed, you can update it to the latest release for that version via download updater.

How to transfer files from iBook to reader

The first step is to export the PDF from iBooks to your computer (this cannot be one on your iPad or iPhone). Connect your iPad or iPhone to your syncing computer. Open iTunes. Select your device (how to do this depends on which version of iTunes you are running). Click on the Books tab at the top. In the current version of iTunes 11, I had to choose to view by PDFs. Then I could drag a PDF from the iTunes window to my Desktop.
Then follow the instructions in this document to import the PDF(s) into Adobe Reader:
    http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2532
Not so easy, I'm afraid. Easier if you just keep copies of your PDFs on your computer.

Depends what you are trying to transfer.
Are you just trying to add content such as apps, music and photos?
Or are these files that were created by such apps as pages and numbers?
You can download content that was purchased in the itunes or app store by signing into same account.
You can dowload any documents saved to icloud by signing into the same account.
You can create a backup of the first ipad and restore the second from that backup.
You can import or sync the content from the first ipad into itunes and then manually sync to the second.
But this all depends on what you are actually trying to do.

  • How to receive XML from Flex HTTP POST

    Hi,
We curreontly have a setup where we have a FLEX frontend send an XML through a HTTP POST and awaiting a response also in XML. On the backend this is handled relatively simply by a PHP script that basically does the following:
read data (in XML)from FlEX HTTP POST into a new temp XML file.
execute a c++ program with the XML file as one of the parameter.
    return the result to FLEX
We have decided to move to BlazeDS for various reasons.
Looking at the examples bundled with BlazeDS they have a jsp example that returns an XML result to FLEX so that part is fine. I am trying to find an example of JSP (or Servlet) that is able to read the XML data from FLEX and write it into a temp XML file. I would then try to use runtime.exec to invoke a local C++ program to process the XML file the result of which will be sent back to FLEX.
Any help will be very much appreciated!

Googling should turn up numerous examples.<o:p></o:p></span></p><br /><br /><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";<br />color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><br /><br /><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";<br />color:#1F497D'>Pete<o:p></o:p></span></p><br /><br /><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";<br />color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><br /><br /><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";<br />color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><br /><br /><div style='border:none;border-left:solid blue 1.5pt;padding:0in 0in 0in 4.0pt'><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div style='border:none;border-top:solid #B5C4DF 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0in 0in 0in'><br /><br /><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>From:</span></b><span<br />style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'> khwong<br />[mailto:[email protected]] <br><br /><b>Sent:</b> Sunday, September 28, 2008 12:09 PM<br><br /><b>To:</b> [email protected]<br><br /><b>Subject:</b> How to receive XML from Flex HTTP POST<o:p></o:p></span></p><br /><br /></div><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><br /><br /><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'>A new discussion was started by<br />khwong in <br><br /><br><br /><b>General Discussion</b> --<br><br />  How to receive XML from Flex HTTP POST<br><br /><br><br />Hi, <br><br /><br><br />We curreontly have a setup where we have a FLEX frontend send an XML through a<br />HTTP POST and awaiting a response also in XML. • How to invoke method from swing

    Aloha,
    Thanks in advance for help...
I have created GUI, and want to use buttons to choose which Physics problem to solve. I have already coded the Physics in .java and have different methods for each one. I would like for the button to create an action that places the different problems on the panel, each with a section for information, given input and outputting the answers to solve for.
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
         { // [20]
               String actionCommand = e.getActionCommand();
               if (e.getActionCommand().equals("Quiz 1"))
                 Quiz1();
}Quiz1 is a private void method that calls on a helper method to perform calculations.
When I use the above command, it invokes the method, but not on the GUI panel, it comes up on the DOS screen. What command should I use to place the calculations and information for this method on the GUI? I know I need to separate and create areas of the panel for input, etc. But I want the method to take place on the GUI.
Thank you for your time and energy.

Hi - I have a question now regarding using a single button, to collect data from multiple fields, make calculations and then return figures to multiple fields.
I thought I could read them into two different variables (valueIn, valueIn2, etc) and then apply them to the JTextField variables. I was experimenting with just passing the initial figures without making calculations...
But just trying with two different fields, the compiler gives me an error for an "unreachable statement". How do I collect from multiple sources and return separate answers to different fields?
I tried to look up definitions for compiler messages, but couldn't find anything regarding "unreachable statements". Therefore, I would also appreciate any suggestions about a dependable source to reference errors.
Thank you in advance for your assistance, I am attaching copy of code below...
