How did I delete a page?!

I am using Pages 1.02 for the first time. I had a 3 page newsletter, and all of a sudden I lost my page 2. What did I do? I never clicked on delete page, so how did I delete it?! Is there a way to retrieve a lost page?

The other name is Chapter.
Again quoting Pages Help:
"Dividing a document into chapters or sections
If you want different parts of a document to have different margins, headers or footers, numbers of columns, master objects, or page-numbering schemes, you can divide the document into sections by inserting a section break. Section breaks are useful when dividing a document into distinct parts, such as title pages, chapters, and indexes.
When you add a section break, the new section always starts on a new page.
To insert a section break:
Click where you want the new section to begin.
Choose Insert > Section Break.
The new section has the same formatting as the previous section until you change it.
To remove a section break, click at the beginning of the line that follows the break and press the Delete key.
Tip: You can see where breaks occur in your document by showing formatting characters (also called "invisibles"). To show formatting characters, click View in the toolbar and choose Show Invisibles."
Best thing is to go into Help>Pages Help

    Hi Crushed,
Numbers doesn't have pages. It has a canvas that holds objects such as tables and charts.
Drag the objects from the bottom of the canvas onto the white space above. That will reduce the number of "pages" (sheets of paper) that will print.

  • How can I delete a page I've entered into a Dashboard Window

How can I delete a page I've entered into a Dashboard Window?

If by "page" you mean a Dashboard Widget, then it's simple:
Open Dashboard (F4 on my keyboard) and in the lower left corner you'll see a cross in a circle. Clicking it enables add/delete mode and all possible adds show up at the bottom of the screen while all currently added Widgets stay where they are but get an X in a circle attached to them. Clicking on the X deletes the Widget.
    hope this helps

  • How do I delete the pages app & reinstall?

How do I delete the Pages App & reinstall?

    Hello miriverlady,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you would like to learn how to uninstall an application, then re-install it. Let’s begin!
To uninstall an application, including the Pages app:
OS X Yosemite: Install, update, and uninstall apps
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH18752
    Uninstall apps
You can uninstall apps you got from the Mac App Store, from other websites, or from discs. You can’t uninstall apps that are part of OS X, such as Safari and Mail.
Apps downloaded from the Mac App Store: Click the Launchpad icon in the Dock, hold down an app’s icon until all the icons begin to jiggle, then click an app’s delete button. If you later want the app, you can reinstall it from the Mac App Store.
To reinstall an application you previously purchased or downloaded, simply navigate to the Mac App Store and visit the Purchases tab:
Mac App Store: Finding your purchased apps - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202161
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

You will need to keep them in folder on your hard drive somewhere other than in iTunes or they will be deleted from iTunes if you delete them from the device. I have a folder on my Mac called iPad Pages Documents - very original don't you think!
Here is the support article that explains it all.

  • How do I delete unused pages templates i created

    I have a MacBook OS 10.8.4
I have saved templates I have created to "Save as a Template" in "My Templates", many of which are no longer relevant. How do I delete them?
I read the Pages UG, and see something about creating my own folder to save mine in, but I don't find a way to delete them from Pages "My Templates"

    Hi Jerry,
That thought went through my mind, too, after your help. But ten steps? I think they would be embarrassed to put it in the UG. : D
Any way, I am so grateful for people out there like you who can help a non-techy like me. I've been using Mac since 1999, love it, but now it's getting a bit too complicated for me. That's inevitable with more sophisticated products, of course, which are totally amazing, to say nothing of the app world.
Do you remember the MS loaned exec for developing the iPhone, at the launch press conference, he said he had learned two important values at Apple: Simplicity and ease of customer use. Ah, those were the days! : )
    Thanks again, buddy!

  • How can I delete a page that I can't open? (it crashes when I try)

I am running iWeb 3.0.1 in Leopard (10.5.8) on an iBook G4. I have had my site up and running for over a year. Recently when I click on one page to edit it, I get the spinning beachball for a while, then a crash. In the crash report it says "Exception type: EXC.BAD.ACCESS (SIGBUS)". Everything else works fine (other pages, editing, publishing).
I have tried dumping the plist and cache, fixing permissions, and even reinstalled iWeb. Nothing worked. Since it's only one page, I figure I can redo it.
BUT: to delete the page, I need to select it in iWeb (in the list of pages on the left side of the iWeb window). But when I select it, it crashes before I have a chance to delete it.
Is there another way to delete a page?
    Thanks!

Try starting a new site on the same domain file and dragging all the good pages down to it and then delete the original site.
Make sure you backup your domain file before doing this.
If this works, restart your Mac to dump out all the redundant files from iWeb.
