You could contact the animator or whoever posted the clip.
Deconstruct the sequence. observe the moves and decide, with your present level of familiarity, how you would approach it. Scaling of the ten or so different layers is simple enough but acquiring the contents of the layers is not something you will do in AE.
As Todd says, start small, figure it out one step at a time, move on to more advanced functions. Animting 3D layers is 9 times more difficult than 2D. when you add lighting and camera moves you raise the complexity level and rendering time to another power making your project about 27 times more difficult.

  • How do u make fourms like for log in pages

    Anyone?

I don't know how or nobody who has ever wanted to, or had the
time and patience to build an
all-flash based forum - especially when their are way easier
ways to integrate a forum (like phpbb
    using php or similar).
Google for "build forum with flash" and you will find several
threads where people discuss just how
    impractical it would be.
Bottom line - flash cant do it alone - you will still need
some backend integration of course. Even
if you were able to do it - the big picture question is
"why?" and how the flash player would handle
the load as more and more users potentially are registered
    and online/active.
    good luck.

  • How did they make this video (link is here)

    Hi.
I spotted this video about a property for sale and I wonder how they got the movie to be so large (it fills the screen). It doesn't seem to be a QT or WM file.
Can anyone shed any light on how to do this, as I'd like to show wedding video demos in this way.
    http://video.vividas.com/SmashPop/rwdb_4parsleyrd/
    Thanks in advance.
I know it's off topic - but I bet many people would like to know how to do this. Sorry for any offence.

Search for AS3 tutorials on google and gothru the tutorials about to loading external swf, images, audio and video. I recommended one of the good website to know the things from:

For every tutorials explanation on the syntax is very clear. goahead! Success behind you!

  • How did I make it .rem...?

    Hello!
I have a couple photos that I've had on my Bold 9700 for quite a while.
Today... a photo that I've been able to forward on is now a .jpg.rem.
New photos that I've been saving today have also been .rem.
The files are saved on my media card.  I haven't touched anything with the encryption.
    I'm looking to know...
1 - How to make it stop on new files.
2 - How to unlock the .rem photos from being able to be forwarded.
    Thanks!

Did that Forward Locked image come from your own camera, or was it sent to you?
Are you on a corporate BES account or a persona BIS account?

  • How do I make sure that google reader launches whenever I click on an RSS feed icon (to add a new feed)?

Right now, when I click to add a new rss feed (using the icon up in the search bar), it automatically launches yahoo, which drives me crazy. I want to CHANGE the setting so that it automatically launches google reader. Please advise!

    See http://lifehacker.com/392287/set-firefox-3-to-launch-gmail-for-mailto-links
Set the pref gecko.handlerService.allowRegisterFromDifferentHost to true on the about:config page.
Run this javascript code via copy and paste to the location bar and press the Enter key to run the code.
    <code>navigator.registerProtocolHandler('mailto','https://mail.google.com/mail/?extsrc=mailto&url=%s','Gmail');</code>
Do not forget to reset the pref gecko.handlerService.allowRegisterFromDifferentHost to false after you have added Gmail.
To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

  • Neat infographic and how do you make lines like this?

    Here is the infographic:
    http://www.stevey.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/50-years-exploration-huge.jpg
I can't figure out if these lines rendered by hand or done with some application -- anybody suggest an approach?

I can't figure out if these lines rendered by hand or done with some application
    Probably both.
You utilize whatever geometric automation is made available in the feature set of the drawing program you are using, and complete the rest with other features and/or manual path-specific manipulations.
In general-purpose drawing programs like Illustrator, you could, for example, use features like Offset Path or the Polar Grid tool to draw the concentric ring portions of the paths, and use Blends or the Reshape Tool to draw the converging portions of the paths.
If drawn in Corel Draw, for example, its Contour Tool might have been used for the concentric portions.
Often, several different approaches can accomplish the final art (some more efficient than others).
    The general process is:
Study the geometry needed for aspects that suggest they might be automated or at least semi-automated.
Determine which aspects need to be numerically accurate (as opposed to merely aesthetically pleasing).
Consider the automated features of the program you are using (requires, of course, proficiency in the program.)
Based on that knowledge (of the requirements and the capabilities of the program), devise a procedure that meets the requirements, adding manual path drawing where you have to.
On the other hand, it's entirely possible that the orbits are drawn entirely automatically by a program that interprets numerical data as curves. For example, a CAE program might have modeled the paths from numerical data and exported them as 2D paths that were then imported into an ordinary drawing program for artistic treatment and embellishment (in much the same way you might take a mathematically-correct 2D perspective drawing exported from a modeling program and then "make it pretty" it in a drawing program).
Some ordinary drawing programs (Canvas, for example) include features that can plot curves from algebraic curve functions. Some ordinary drawing programs (Illustrator, Corel Draw, Canvas) can be scripted to draw paths from numerical data (although unlikely for the whole paths shown in your example, since the geometry would have to be tediously converted to control coordinates for Bezier curves).
So there are several ways to skin the cat; but you first have to know which cat has to be skinned (i.e.; what the real requirements are). Are the orbits actually accurate flight paths, or are they just "artist conception" interpretations? That's not clear from just looking at your example.

  • How did I make a Hybrid DVD - it had HD & SD content

Hi. I created a project about a year+ ago that contains HD & SD options. When I pop it into my mac it says "This is a Hybrid Disc" would you like to watch in Standard Definition or High Definition.
I need to do that same thing again but cannot remember how it was done, and the manual has no information on it that I can find. So any ideas would be great.

Right - the \only way I can think of is that you created the HD version frst, and saved it on to your hard drive. You then created the SD version and added the HD folder to your SD project as a ROM-Data folder. This would include the video_ts, audio_ts from the SD project and (if you do it correctly) the HVDVD_TS folder at the root of the disc as well.
To create this you must have made a SD project and included the HD folder as ROM material - it won't work the other way round. The disc will contain both types of content, but it won;t be a true HD disc.
I'm intrigued - how does it play back?

  • How did I make this ripple effect before?

I've been working on a logo that needs an effect that I've done a few years ago for another logo. It is the ripple effect of the mirrored image of the tree. I've been searching Illustrator, the web and my work files, but I'd expanded all my artwork, so I couldn't see how I did it before. I remember that I used the green tree as a base and just used a filter, but which one and how? Can anyone help me?
    Cheers,
    Tim

    Hi Jacob,
Thanks for the quick reply. I've tried that as well but that doesn't come close to my original design. Here are two other designs I did similarly.
    Cheers,
    Tim

  • How did they make the effects in this music video?

Hi everyone. I've been watching this amazing video thats on Youtube for an electro band called Lifelike. The Song is called So Electric, I believe this isn't even an official video of theirs but some fan put something together which is very very visually striking. The video is here:-
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G22X5X49VhM
I'm not a beginner with Adobe Premiere Pro, but I don't yet use After Effects. My main educated guesses as to what the editor did some blending of clips with partially translucant opacity, changed numerous colour channels around... they used old VHS footage too. On the thread underneath the video, supposedly he used Imovie to edit it, which is quite basic as far as I'm aware...
Anyone able to take a good guess?

I found out that some of the original footage was made using an analogue system called Scanimate, so that answers part of my question. However I still want to know how the editor blended together the different clips and added in aditional effects- anyone?

    Hi Everyone
I have a few third party programmes, like Acrobat, Firefox, Openoffice, and really pleased with them for the things I need them for but When i open files, Id like the default programme to be Preview, Safari and iwork and then use the other programmes when I choose. Its probably obvious but cant work it out myself.
    Thank you

  • How do I make Bookmarks like the easy pull down menu of Favorites in internet explorer?

Although I don't like much else, I liked the favorites menu from IE. A favorites symbol appeared on one of the menu bars at the top of the screen and I could open it and select my destination with one click.
My favorites from IE appear when I open bookmarks here but it is very cumbersome. There must be a way to customize this but I haven't been able to find it. I appreciate any help you can offer.

Is there no Bookmarks menu available in the Bookmarks toolbar? If you prefer the regular menu bar, you should be able to get that back by pressing the Alt key, then using View > Toolbars then check Menu Bar.
