How direct md5 to check files on optical disc

Hello,
I've got several optical discs (bd-r) for which I have an md5 of the entire disc's contents. But the md5 file is on hard drive (not onboard the optical disc) and I can't seem to figure out how to direct the md5 to compare hashes with files on the optical disc (or any mounted volume for that matter). I've tried editing the md5 line(s) to read:
6670882691e48719b377e09a6b7c1303 /mnt/[name of disc or volume]/[name of file]
and tried:
6670882691e48719b377e09a6b7c1303 /volumes/[name of disc or volume]/[name of file]
and so on....with and without leading slashes...
...no luck so far.
Is it possible to get an md5 to access a mounted volume/optical disc?

Yes, I'm using the saved md5 (and adding "/volumes/[name of disc]/....." to each line, to compare to the currently mounted media.
I'll try in some different apps, per your suggestion that it may be inherent to CHECKSUM+ app.
Your concept of using the "md5 unix command line utility" to generate from the disc and then compare to original md5 could work. Is this utility already part of the OS? and can it generate hashes for entire directory with subfolders? (doing one file at a time would not be feasible).
I tried dropping the optical disc into CHECKSUM+ to generate another hash page (with the intent to compare it to the original hash sheet using KDIFF), but it gave an error - didn't like the concept, I guess of generating hashes for a read-only volume? or didn't know where to drop the resulting hash file?

These are elementary streams and they would be used by DVD authoring apps that use them for reasons like foreign language capability. Examples would be DVD Studio Pro, Adobe Encore, Toast.
The most straightforward way to burn your DVD is either to use the Share feature in FCP or the Batch Template feature in Compressor.
If you can find a boxed copy of iLife (try Amazon), it should have iDVD as part of the suite of apps. iDVD offers far more complete authoring capability than FCP or C4. iDVD doesn't work with elementary streams; you'd just drag in your HD movie and you'd be good to go.

Reformatting PC, How to keep the checked files?

So this is my problem: I'm going to reformat my PC, and I want to keep my itunes library. I know that all I have to do is copy the "itunes" folder in my documents and the itunes will automatically recognize the files. However, i have plenty of unchecked musics, because I don't want them on my iphone, but everytime i reformat my PC, the boxes get all checked, and I have to go throw all the 2000 items and select the ones I want. Any solutions?

I have done the library sharing thing but I am getting rid of my primary computer and am afraid I will lose the library.

To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
and select the Library that you moved. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.
Your first option didn't work because you imported one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
Your second option didn't work because you simply referenced her library on the old machine.

I am trying to figure out how I can add a "File Folder" to my TC so that I can save files directly to it? The only folder it displays is "Data" which is where my bac ups save...

Double click on the "Data" folder in the Finder under the SHARED heading, and then click the gear icon at the top of the window and select New Folder.
You can name this folder anything you wish and also create as many folders as you wish.
If you are also using the Time Capsule drive for Time Machine backups, it is not really recommended that you "mix" regular files with Time Machine backups because there will be a struggle for space on the drive at some point.
If you have plenty of free space on the Time Capsule drive, you may be OK with keeping a portion dedicated for regular files.

The backups for your version are date-time stamped as the name and with an extension of .fcpproject. They look like this.
The original project is named CurrentVersion.fcpproject.
You need to replace the CurrentVersion with the backup file and rename it to be CurrentVersion.fcpproject.
With FCPX closed, I suggest you move the original to the Trash, but not empty it. Then promote your backup one level higher in the project folder hierarchy (to be at the same level that the original previously occupied. Then rename the backup.
Open up FCPX, which should now recognize your project.

Click on the Firefox menu. Then click "Options". Go to "Applications" tab. Search for jpg and png file type. You will find they have "Always ask" action attribute. Change it to "Save file".

You can make this change using BAdI BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI, method BBP_SC_CHANGE.
In this BAdI you can manipulate this information since it is called in a lot of different points in the code during the creation of a SC.

How can I read a file directly from a script please? I tried the insert into ... values but it does not work. I really have to read the file instead of entering the data via the interface. Does Oracle have a copy command? Each file line is split with tabs for each field in the line.
Finally how can I subdivide the strings in each field?
