How disable smartcut section select box? Wayne help needed!

Dear friends
I disable smartcut section select box with Toolbar=Navigation parameter in link

but when I login in LoginDash and activate another section, the section select box is activated on menu again!

Is that maybe a browser memory auto-complete thing? It works on Netscape 7.2. But no, it's not a browser auto-complete thing (does NS have that? IE does... either way, I would've disabled that). It's definitely a Javascript trick, I'm sure of that. I know I haven't sent mail to all people in my address book from my work PC, but it doesn't stop them from showing in the list as I type...
Unless there is a special HTML tag option or browser extension that I've never heard of that allows you to supply a set of values to a text input field for auto-completion (as opposed to the browser remembering what was typed).

Hi Mukesh,
We can click the Advanced Filter Mode icon on the first to the right of the field name in the Filters area to switch between basic and advanced filters modes. At this time, we can select date and time in the selection box. But there is no such feature for
us to hide the time selection box in current release of Power View.
As per my understanding, we can select a time that has no impact on the data in the time selection box to work around this issue.

How can i fill selection box on html form with data on the clientside?

hi
i want to make a html form that reads option values from the client.
Because there are too many data, it's not reasonable for me to design a page which connects to server each time to fill the selection boxes.Instead i want to check if data resides at the clientside, if so fill selection boxes with that data, if not download it for the first time and store it on the client for later local retrieval.In addition i must be able to update that data residing on the client when i want.

Don't see where Java comes into this. Sounds like you'd be using JavaScript on the client.
A cookie would probably be the only way to save data on the client.

How to validate the select box (combobox) using the danavalidator

i have a select box in my jsp . the type is String
i have been using the validator-rules.xml ,validation.xml
my question is is there any built in method for validatining the select box
like "required " or else

I am not sure what is danavalidator. But if you are using Struts, then you can use the required validation same like you use for text fields. It will validate for the option whose value is blank. select box required validation is present in the validation-rules.xml.

Disabled buttons still selectable problem, please help

I have a simple GUI which takes input from the user and when it has enough information allows the user to select to run an operation (setEnabled(true) on the run button). Initially I set the run button on the GUI to be disabled using setEnabled(false). Although the button appears greyed out the mouse_clicked() event is run when you click on the button.
Can anyone inform me what is wrong, it appears the button is disabled to look at but is still active if clicked.

What's the difference between (a) and (c) in your mind? Are not Java Beans pure Java objects?
Depends on the app.
For my Web apps I let Tomcat create a connection pool for me. I don't store connections anywhere in my code. I check them out of the pool, use them, and put them back.
I think this is a good way to go for any app.

Select expert formula help needed

I'm trying to come up with a formula to put in the select expert that will include all records. But if there is a record id(which would be a parameter field) passed to the report, it will only select that record that matches the parameter record id. Is this possible?

Yes, you can do that with an "All" option in the parameter list.
And you selection formula would look like this:
{?your parameter} = "All" or {your id field} = {?your parameter}
The "All" option is not a really selection rule.
It's just to control to use or not use:
{your id field} = {?your parameter}
So you can name it whatever you like, "*", "Any ID", or anything

Moving Clips - and how not to lose the audio? Help needed!

Hi,
I have used Premiere Pro 6.0 quite extensively over the years and have recently moved to Premiere Pro CS5.
With Premiere Pro 6.0 I could move/drag clips on the time-line and their linked audio would move with them. If I moved the video clip to another video track, say, above an existing clip, the audio would also move to a free audio track and not automically write over any existing audio. This would allow me to easily reorder clips on the timeline by simply moving them around and using other video tracks as temporary storage locations... and not lose or write over any other existing audio.
However in Premiere Pro CS5 if I do the same thing, the video will move to the other video track I move it to, but the audio will stay in the say audio track and will write-over any existing audio when the mouse button is released. The only way around this I can find in the manual is to: (1) drag the video to the other video track, and (2) press and hold the <SHIFT> key, whilst, (3) draging the linked audio to another audio track to avoid existing audio from being over-written.
My question: Is there a configuation I can set in CS5 to allow moving/draging of clips to work like in Premiere Pro 6.0? I have already messed up multiple times in CS5 by inadvertently over-writing existing audio.
Your expert advice and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Any color I select is automatically set to gray...

What does "replacing color" mean? what tool/ function? What images? What system? What version of PS? What else? You need to be a lot more specific and provide more info.

How to update database with a select box

I'm hoping someone can/will help me with a new feature I'm
trying to add to my web site. I'll summarize what I'm working with
and then proceed to what I'd like to do. This is the web site I'm

I have a database for the Truck of the Week set up with the
information that is output on each page in the left column and
on the Truck of the week page itself. I add new Truck of the
Week (TOW) entries via a form I've put together. Right now, in
order to change the current TOW, I have to manually go into my
template and change the ID (which is automatically assigned when
the record is created, and thus makes it unique) in my SQL which
currently reads

to the ID of the current TOW.
What I want to be able to do is create a new form that will
allow me to select the TOW entry that I want to be displayed from a
select box (drop down box). I have a good idea of how to populate
my select box, but don't know how to get it to work. My first idea
was to update the table in the database (Access) manually with a
new column called currentTOW, with values set to a Yes/No type,
with default values set to "No". Then I would use my form to set
the value for one of them to "Yes" so I could set my SQL to 'WHERE
currentTOW ="yes" ' I would also make a <cfif> statement that
checks for entries marked "Yes" and changes them to "No" when the
form loads to avoid setting 2 entries to "Yes" and my page thus
attempting to load 2 TOW entries.
My problem is, I don't know how to do any of this. I hope
I've described this situation well enough. I know there has to be
at least one guru on here that can help me. Any assistance would be
greatly appreciated.

don't know how to do it.
I started working on a new idea, where I have a second table
in the same datasource set up called currentTOW, with one field
called currentTOW and only one record. The idea is to send the
string of the "owner" field from the select box, which is populated
from the table called truckofweek to this one cell in the
currentTOW table.
This way, in my page which will display the data, I have 2
querys. The first pulls the data in the single cell from currentTOW
and outputs its string into the second query. I've attached the
code below. I get an error when I try to display the page, see the
error here:
www.truckerstoystore.net/currentTOW2.cfm.
However, the SQL looks like I want it to look, as "WHERE Owner =
Craig Carp" is essentially the same record that it displays now in
the live page "/currentTOW.cfm" only the SQL currently reads "WHERE
ID = 4" (4 and Craig Carp are part of the same record).

Disabling Select Boxes

Hi,
IE (ver 7 or less) has a bug wherein it makes the SELECT box present in the page to be the topmost layer. I have a requirement wherein i need to display a div region over the iframe present in the body of the HTML page (the div becomes the top-most layer now - disabling the other elements present in the background). I am unable to disable the SELECT box present in the iframe, though i am able to disable the other SELECT boxes which are present outside the iframe.
Has anybody faced a similar issue - if so can you suggest a probable solution for the same ASAP.

Hello,
The solution the dropdown menus in APEX use is to display an empty iframe underneath the menu but over the select item to block out the select item.

Multiple Select boxes in one form

Does anyone know if it is possible to have multiple select
boxes inside one form? I have six different select boxes that are
generated by six separate queries. The action page for all six
select boxes is the same so I just want one submit button so users
don't get confuse. I don't want to cluster up the page with submit
buttons but I may resort to that option.
My problem is the select boxes generate a number and when
that number is submitted I want to pass two other variables with it
to the action page. I tried putting a "Form" tag around the 6
select boxes. Inside each select box I tried to add an "Input
type="hidden"" and give thte name and values that I needed. That
worked for the first select box but when I tried the second select
box it used the hidden values for the first select box.
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Or if you
have any other suggestions I am open to any.

Autosuggest and select box

I was wondering how to update a select box with data relevant
to a selection made on a suggest box, something similar to
this,
but with a spry suggest box instead of the first select box on the
example.
I tried the example (two select boxes using two binded data
sets) with my db and it works; when I select something on the first
select box, the second one changes dynamically according to the
selection made.
I have defined two datasets:

Neither onclick nor onchange functions seem to work; on load
the second select does fill up with ds2 data (acording to the first
element of ds1), but when using the suggest box to select something
different, the selectbox doesn't change accordingly, keeping always
the same data.
Am I using the setCurrentRowNumber in the wrong dataset or
tag?

I would say if you were to do somthing like this

see I added the useCache:false
This will stop the browser from cacheing your xml, thenjust
add an onclick to some function like say
update();
then have update do this
function update()
ds1.loadData();
That should cause the browser to update the data set and
update your elements now the only downside is IE has a bug well
more like IE being the bug but anyhow you may have to add things to
your code to get it to work right in IE, I added in some random
number script in my JS so that it will append on the end of my DS
each time so IE thinks its a new XML doc. Hope this helps.
