How do 3rd party companies keep track of who to bill?

I went to go buy a ringtone from a website and the website told me my account activity had maxed out.  I changed my phone number and the website still said that.  How do those websites keep track of who to bill when you can change your phone number?

When you make a purchase from a third party think of your cell phone number as the credit card and your device as your home address. They have to know how you are paying and where it is going. Just because you change how you pay ( your phone number) you are still having it sent to the same place. When you register for a 3rd party service it links to the ESN number for your device. Hope that helps a little

  • How many 3rd party displays can be connected to MBP retina 15"

    I was just wondering how many 3rd party displays can be connected to the MacBook Pro with Retina Display 15" and 16GBs of ram. I have contacted the Apple Online Chat and every time I get a different awnser. I know that there are 2 Thunderbolt ports and a HDMI port on the machine. Can someone help me please?
    Thanks,
    Jayden

    Near all screens. You can use the HDMI port to connect the MacBook Pro with Retina display to a HDMI screen, but you have got Thunderbolt.
    Thunderbolt is compatible with Mini DisplayPort, so you can use Mini DisplayPort adapters to connect your MacBook to a DVI or VGA screen too

  • How do I disable iPhone keeping track of everywhere I go?

    I saw online that the iPhone keeps track of everywhere we have **ever** been and saves this information in a file on the local computer for easy retrieval.
    You can see the news article on the guardian's website here
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/apr/20/iphone-tracking-prompts-privacy -fears
    And you can download the app to look at what the iPhone has mapped about you here
    http://petewarden.github.com/iPhoneTracker/
    "The file contains the latitude and longitude of the phone's recorded coordinates along with a timestamp, meaning that anyone who stole the phone or the computer could discover details about the owner's movements using a simple program."
    My question is how do I turn this map archiving OFF? I do not want my iPhone to keep a map of everywhere I've ever been, and I definitely don't want someone breaking into my computer and getting a copy of where I go either.
    And was this tracking mentioned in the EULA?

    Yes I saw this and it should be of concern to anyone who has a cell carrier enabled iOS device.
    The program on that page doesn't give the exact, second by second, level of detail required for tracking purposes so someone can't use it to snoop. Rather it's a demonstration of what is capable IF the program is modified to show those results as the data is certainly there.
    So someone would have to modify the open source code to show more detail, which I'm sure won't be very long at all and we will see the better version hosted somewhere in short order.
    The way to defeat this, your phone being remotely tuned on and used as a listening device, and tracking by cell carrier companies who (so far as we now know) keep 6 months of cell tower triangulation records recorded 8 times a hour, is to use what's called a "faraday bag"
    A "faraday cage or bag" is a item that can block electronic transmissions. A unplugged, used microwave oven can double as such a device for the home, provided the door is closed.
    Also many phones that are off are not really off, passwords have no effect neither.
    RDIF bags with stainless steel threads used to block drive by recordings of passports are available (and sold out currently) on sites like ThinkGeek.
    Naturally any device in a faraday bag or cage is unable to recieve incoming calls.
    And currently in the State of Michigan, police are stopping motorists and using a handheld device to download everything on their phone, over 3,000 models are supported. Encryption, passwords, location data, pictures, chat logs, everything ever done with the device, even stuff that's been erased.
    http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/34/3458.asp
    Also the SSD/Flash drives used in devices like computers, iPads, iPhones, tablets etc are NOT being erased.
    http://hardware.slashdot.org/story/11/02/17/1911217/Confidential-Data-Not-Safe-O n-Solid-State-Disks
    So it appears the government, in cooperation with numerous companies and industries, has sold out any right of privacy we have.
    The only option is to not use the devices.

  • How the 3rd party process will be updated in to credit management

    Hi gurus,
    I have a doubt on how to update 3rd party process in to credit management.
    So far I know update group 000018 will help to update it in to credit management.
    But I already have 000012 in credit control area.
    Then how can I place two update group in to credit control area.
    Regards
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
    I dont think you can have two update groups into same cr control area.. And whats the need of it..?
    By choosing which ever is needed for you business requirement, you can achieve the requirement.
    the descriptions of these update groups are self explanatory and you need to chose the one that suits ur requirement.
    What do you mean by thirdparty process? is it third party sales..?  if so there is always a sales order in 3rd party sales. Also you will have a customer bill too, select the update group accordingly to include open sales orders or / and open bills
    Thanks

  • 3rd party apps keep crashing in Mountain lion

    I installed Mountain lion yesterday everything looked ok until I tried runnig Skype, it crashed immediately. I tried running other 3rd party apps with same result. Steam, MS Word, Vuze everything crashes, even apps I downloaded fom Mac app store. Does anyone else have this problem?

    I've been having a similar issue and surprisingly the app Boom was part of the problem. Seemed to cause audio issues as well as start-up problems for iTunes. I also had to delete all of my automatic login items as they would become non-responsive after login and cause the entire system to become sluggish. So far things are running smoothly again although my audio keeps wanting to switch to Airplay all on it's own, even when the Apple TV is unavailable. I haven't tried putting back the login items yet.
    OS X login item issues have been around for a long time so although the 3 party apps may be the main culprits there might also be a connection regarding these long standing login problems.

  • 3rd party SO with rejected item appears in billing due list ( VF04 )

    Hi
    There are 7 items in a SO ( 3RD PARTY PROCESS ) . One of the items ( POSNR 030 ) is rejected  ( reason for rejection is applied at the item level ). The item is rejected from the linked Pur Req & PO as well. For this rejected item there is no GR doc
    The balance items on the SO are invoiced.
    Problem : This SO still appears appears in the billing due list.
    Expectation : This SO should not appear in VF04
    Other details : Item cat TAS billing Rel B. Billing qty VTFA is E & the update doc flow is checked
    Things tried :
    1) In debug mode changed the overall billing status in VBUP & VBUK to C
    2) In SA38 executed reorganisation of index prog ( RVVI50 - -- ), SDVBUK00.
    Pl. help

    Hi
    I have done the things suggested by Caprin + Sanjeev Kumar. No help
    Here is additional info. . As i am working on this issue i could replicate it in the quality server . I have found out how the issue was caused.
    There is a inconsistency between PO delivery date & SO req delivery date. In 3rd party orders the Sch line date is derivied from Vendor info records. The user created SO & PO .The SO got its Sch line date from info record. Then the user manually changed the Requested del date on the SO beyond the sch line date derived from the info record & at the same time leaving the Del date on PO untouched. This has resulted in mismatch between the PO & SO at the same time weird looking sch lines on SO ( the order + rounded qty is on the later date whereas the confirmed qty on the 1st sch line ).
    I feel if somebody can suggesta program to bring in sync the VBAP + VBEP + PO line item tables i think it will solve the issue

  • 3rd party sales process (w/o ship notif) - Billing

    Hi experts,
    In billing of 3rd party sales process, is it possilble to take the GR date as billing doc. date?
    Is it in customizing? or I have to do it in copy control?
    Thanks in adavnce.
    Cheers,
    Kenneth

    Hi,
    Billing date is always derived from the Payment terms available in Sales order. But as such i have not see any requirement to consider GR date as billing date.
         Seems logical.

  • Keeping track of who used MRBR

    hello all
    is there a way to find out according to users, who has released invoices?
    kind of a report on MRBR according to user.
    all this, keeping in mind I do not see the invoice in MRBR anymore after it has been released.
    basically: who released which invoice?
    thanks
    Alisa

    Hi,
    go to table CDHDR and search for:
    OBJECTCLAS = INCOMINGINVOICE
    OBJECTID = 51056009862009 (BELNR+GJAHR)
    TCODE = MRBR
    and then with field CHANGENR you can go to table CDPOS.
    Best regards.

  • How keep track of caller from web page or app in your EJB

    I want to make a Security Handler for my EJB Server. I want apps / users to be able to log in. However, after they log in (for example from a web page), how do I keep track of who they are when they then make subsequent calls to EJBs?
    Where can I find out who they are?
    How do I standardize this for apps and web page callers?
    I know that for web servers to keep track of who the caller is for them, they need to store a handle on the client. Do I need to do this too?
    If I do keep smth on the client side that they send back/forth to me, does that not fit with the EJB standards?

    still unable to find answer. Hey, can I also ask: do I ask too obscure questions? I don't get most of them answered. Are they boring?

  • How to keep track of sessions ?

    Hi,
    Recently at an interview I was asked that how do you keep track of n number of user sessions in JSP ?
    Can somebody help me with the answer that I should have given ?
    Thanks.

    You would have to extend the session handling system using the various listeners for Session events. Check out the package javax.servlet.http.
    SessionListener: responds to sessionCreated/sessionDestroyed - so you can keep track of sessions as they come/go.
    You then also keep in memory (either a singleton, or in application scope) a permanent map of all the sessions. That way you knoe exactly how many sessions there are, and can get at the data for any or all of them.
    (Note this is a potential security risk, which is why the functionality was removed from the servlet framework)
    Another approach would be to use a SessionBindingListener, on a user object. This listener fires events when the object is bound/removed from a session
    Assuming it is an Intranet, where a user logs in, and after login, a "User" object is placed into session. This will let the user object fire an event whenever it is bound - ie when you log in. Thus you can keep track of who is logged in, and if they are logged in multiple times.
    Hope this helps some,

  • 3rd party plug-ins for Intel upgrade

    anyone know how 3rd party companies will deal with the intel cross-over??
    will there be only a small xgrade fee or have to buy the complete new software at the full price?

    I'd be surprised if any companies don't offer an upgrade.
    Native Instruments estimates about $29 per plug. Spectrasonics already has a free public beta of Stylus RMX.

  • 3rd party sales calls?

    Does Verizon Wireless hire any 3rd-party companies to do sales calls? I've been getting one or more calls per day for weeks from 866-259-3883 on my land line. Caller ID shows it as "VERIZON WIRELESS". The caller admitted that they were not Verizon but a 3rd party company, and claimed to be representing VW. I'm skeptical. I then called VW directly, and the nice lady said that they do not not hire outside companies to make such calls, that any sales calls would be be made by them directly.
    Does anyone know which is the true story, and who is calling me from the above number?

    There has been a lot of fraud going on as well. Could very well be that.

  • Keeping track of anyone who made a deletion from a table

    Dear all;
    I thought this was going to be easy but I am yet to think of a solution to this problem. I have the following table created
    create table test_tbl
       test_id varchar2(10) not null,
       test_modifiedby varchar2(30),
       test_result number(10),
       primary key(test_id)
    );with the following insert
    insert into test_tbl
      (test_id, test_modifiedby, test_result)
    values
      ('122', 'John', 4);
    insert into test_tbl
      (test_id, test_modifiedby, test_result)
    values
      ('123', 'Jamie', 6);
    insert into test_tbl
      (test_id, test_modifiedby, test_result)
    values
      ('124', 'Katy', 8);
    insert into test_tbl
      (test_id, test_modifiedby, test_result)
    values
      ('125', 'Eric', 10);I am trying to write a simple procedure which is used for deletion and also I would like to be able to keep track on and the save the user who made the deletion and that is where I am having problems. I need to keep track on who made the deletion because I have a trigger which is used to save all deleted test_id made. See trigger below
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER test_tbl_before_delete
    BEFORE DELETE ON test_tbl
    for each row
    begin
    insert into audit_test_tbl_table
        (test_id, test_modifiedby, test_result)
    values
       (:old.test_id,
        :old.test_modifiedby,
        :old.test_result
    end;Please how do I solve this problem. All help will be appreciated. Thank you.

    Unfortunately Rob, I wouldnt be able to do that because I am using a web development tool called Asp.net which is linked to our oracle database and from the web development tool, users are able to login into the application I am designing and based on their login creditials, they are able to carryout tasks like deletions, insertions, etc. Now I am able to get the user name and info directly from the web development and able to pass it into my deletion procedure. See procedure below
    procedure deletefromtest_tbl(delete_testid in varchar2, delete_modifieruser in varchar2)
      AS
    temp_cnt number;
    BEGIN
    select count(*) into temp_cnt from test_tbl td
    where td.test_id = delete_testid
    if(temp_cnt != 0) then
        delete test_tbl pk
        where pk.test_id = delete_testid
      commit;
        end if;
    end deletefromtest_tbl;From the procedure, I really don't know how to apply the delete_modifieruser (which contains the information of the user that perform the delete) so that information gets saved in the audit_test_tbl_table.
