You should have been storing everything on your computer and regularly backing up your computer.
If you failed to do that, then you may be able to get your pics from photo stream

Open iTunes, go to the iTunes Store, and then go to Purchased on the right hand side under Music Quick Links.
You can re-download all the songs, apps, or books you have previously purchased.
I'm not sure if this is a requirement, but just in case, make sure you download the latest version of iTunes (v10.3) too.

If you had the icloud backup feature turned on and had a backup made (from the lost device), then just get a new device and restore the backup. Without a backup in icloud or iTunes, your data is lost.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

You need to import the CD into iTunes on your computer and then sync the tracks to your iPad.

Hi KiltedTim, as a newbie to Apple, iphones and forums I would appreciate an explanation of the 'Trolls and Mods' comments on your posting. I presume the Mods are Apple sentinels but am I really a Troll just because I made a criticism of the new iOS version (even though I did not know I was actually doing that). Am I a Troll to you because you personally disapprove of criticism of the new iOS or is Troll used by the community to describe anyone who speaks up if they are not happy about a change. Please understand that by asking these questions it is not my intention to be confrontational (I’ve been called far worse than a Troll over the years) but as I’m new to the group an insight into the politics may be beneficial. If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

To delete any apps but the ones that are hard wired into your ipad, hold your finger down on the app icons until they start to wiggle. When they do, you'll see red circles with white X's in them. Tap on that and follow the prompt to delete the app.
If you can't delete apps, look in settings, general, restrictions and make sure that deleting apps hasn't been locked out.

FF4 eliminated homepage. Re-updated 3.6.16, still have no homepage; so no email, etc--everything's gone. How do I get it back? If I set up new homepage, what about all the email? Am not computer savvy, can anyone help a computer nerd?

When Firefox is opened, my home page is blank. Bookmarks are still there, & all seem to work except 'myyahoo', which is my home page. Screen is blank below toolbar, etc. Cannot get 'myyahoo' to come up. According to many other questions I read, everyone had some kind of trouble when they updated to Firefox 4; restoring to 3.6.16 seemed to solve the majority of those problems. It did not help me.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? If it isn't working on multiple networks and a restart didn't help, the next step would be to restore the iPhone. You may even have to try restoring it as a new device.
If you don't want to restore the iPhone, you can try to avoid the problem by updating the apps in iTunes and then syncing them to the iPhone. Who knows, maybe the problem will go away after syncing one or two of the updated apps.

ITunes synced 20 GB of music to somewhere on my phone that isn't the music directory and saved it as "Other." How do I delete it?

I got a new computer so I went to sync my phone and put music back on it.. so i erased everything off that was originally on it so I could sync with the new computer and it wasn't working... so I restored from a backup and updated. Tried again and it worked, I watched as it copied each song. Sync finished, checked the Music app on my phone and it had nothing except for a couple of iTunes freebies that are available to download through the cloud. Went back to iTunes to try again and I realized that instead of having 20 GB of music, it showed that I had 20 GB added to "Other." Now I can't delete the music off of my phone because it didn't save to the phone as music.
After it failed to work, I was in the process of adding music to my library still and it synced to my phone through the same playlist that I specified to sync originally. I officially have 1 song... when i should have 2700 songs. IDK why it worked for that one song and not the others, but I can't manipulate the 20 GB of music - it is now just used storage space on my phone that I can't touch.

All the music plays. Literally took it off of my old hard drive I used to sync from and put it on my new computer. It all works. I don't know why it wouldn't work or why it would sync all f'ed up.

HT4623 the Icons on my iphone 4...suddenly get extreemly large, I don't know why. I can't use the phone when this happens, I have to shut off the phone, which is a problem, just finding the red arrow and making it go across the screen to shut down...help

I don't think I'm causing this, but you never know. my home page where the phone, camera, messages, etc...all the icons will get giant....maybe 3 will be on the screen instead of the normal 20.....I have to move the screen around to find what I need to open and then I cannot...so I turn off the phone, when the red arrow appears, and have to hold down one side of the screen to make the arrow move, If I try to slide it over with my finger..........I can't get it to the end.....eventually the phone will shut off and then I turn it on again and the icons are normal....but this happens several times a week and I would like it not to happen , what can I do?

Don't reset anything, just connect it to iTunes. If you don't have iTunes on a computer, then find someone who does, turn off auto sync, then connect your iphone and click 'check for updates'. iTunes will download the update, then update that software to your phone. Before you update though, I'd make a backup, just to be on the safe side.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If you have failed to bakup, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
