How do go back to a version that supports Real Player?

How do go back to a version that supports Real Player?

According to the instructions given on the Norton Community forum under "Other Norton Products/Comcast-Customers - Norton Toolbar Problem in Firefox 10", I have done everything necessary. And I do have a Norton toolbar (Safe Web and Identity Safe) when I open Firefox 10. As was mentioned in the previous posts here, you need to run manual LiveUpdate then reboot until you have version 5.2.0.13. Then reboot and run manual LiveUpdate again and reboot once more. One thing that I noticed is that Norton never told me that it had updated the patch for Firefox 10, so I didn't know. I guess if you have the toolbar when you run Firefox 10, then you have done it all.

  • I've upgraded to the most recent version of FF. Streaming/page loading is worse than ever. I have done all that's recommended to fix it. When will FF come up with a fix? And how do I revert back to a version that actually works? Please help. Thanks

How do I revert back to a version that works?

    Hi,
your aspx menus are probably using document cookies to store static information. (f12>Console tab, document.cookie )
ensure that client machines are accepting your company's default GPO settings.
    Tools>Internet Options>Security tab,
click "Reset all zones to default"
Content tab, click the "Default" button.
Open a change request with your site developers to feature test for noscript and cookie support in their client side code.
File>Properties to determine which IE Security zone a site is opening in.
    Regards.

  • I have an older G5 tower Power PC and the OS 10.5.8, but the firefox and safari browers are no longer supporting this computer. How can I download an older version that works with this computer?

I have an older G5 tower Power PC and the OS 10.5.8, but the firefox and safari browers are no longer supporting this computer. How can I download an older version that works with this computer?
Or what is the newest OS system I can load onto this computer?
I think it is from 2006

    Hello,
10.5.8 is the highest OSX it can run.
TenFourFox is the most up to date browser for our PPCs, they even have G4 & G5 optimized versions...
    http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
I'd avoid vesrion 24 though, as it no longer supports plug-ins like Flash.
SeaMonkey seems pretty fast also, with many options...

Might also look into iCab & OmniWeb versions.

  • IOS version that support 2048 bits certificate

    Hello,
I need to update a 2504  Wireless Controller to a version that supports 2048 bits certificates.
I´m checking release notes for release 7.4.110.0 and I don´t see any information about a limitation in certification size (2048 bytes in my case).
Do you know any restriction about the certificate size in this or another version?
    Thanks and Regards.
    Iván.

2048 bit is supported on the WLC. I use it for WebAuth and 3rd party certificates as these vendors only issue 2048 these days.

  • How to get back to a version of iTunes that works?

I made the mistake of installing iTunes 10 - now my iPod is no longer recognized. How can I get an older version of iTunes to work? Each time I uninstall iTunes 10 and install an older version it won't start up. I get the error message that it was installed by a newer version so it can't be opened. I don't get it. Is there a way to completely wipe iTunes 10 off my computer besides going through the program manager to uninstall it? Had anyone heard if Apple is working on a fix for this buggy version of iTunes?

    montana,
First of all, make sure Windows is showing file extensions and not hiding them from you.
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Libraries\iTunes Library 2010-09-03.itl
That is my version 9 library that I updated on Sept 3rd. Yours can have a different date, but you get the idea.
Copy & paste it one folder up, into this folder
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
Delete the version 10 itunes file, since you are not going to be using it.
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl
Right-click and rename the copy of the itunes v9 file so the date part is gone
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library 2010-09-03.itl

  • How to go back to prior version

(Yes, I've searched the forums. If this question has been answered, I can't seem to find it.)
The latest to v11 of iTunes has seriously FUBARed my podcasts. I can no longer listen to them in my car. I'd like to roll back to a prior version unless and until Apple finally fixes this bug. I'm using Windows 7 and don't have any iOS devices synced to this computer (I use an iPod Classic). The threads I've found are either for Macs or iOS devices.
    Thanks,
    --Charlene

As stated, I already did a search.
    Using the search you  posted:
14 are for Mac (I'm Windows, stated in OP)
1 is asking how  downgrading will affect an iPhone (I don't have any iOS devices, stated  in OP)
1 is asking how to downgrade iOS (ditto)
The 4 that are  Windows-related are all asking how to downgrade from v11 to v10.7; lots  of folks hated v11 when it came out, but I'm fine with it. I'm trying to  get rid of the most recent incremental update that ****** my podcast  playlist.

  • How do I re-install a version that actually works?

The lastest "up-date" [that's a laugh!] has moved "Tabs" where I do NOT want them & my toolbars have all disappeared! How do I download a version that actually does what I want it to do?

hello ralph, your system information says that you're still of firefox 3.6 - in case this is right please update as soon as possible, since your browser is [https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html affected by numerous known security vulnerabilities] which will put the integrity of your system and your personal data at risk!
if you have any questions on how to adjust firefox to your likings afterwards, please come back to the forum...

  • I hate version 4, tell me how to get back to previous version of Firefox or I'm going to IE !!!

Version 4 is awful, I hate it and will NOT use it.

Firefox is highly customizable and you may be able to customize it to meet your needs.
If you do not like the new UI, you can make Firefox 4 look and behave more like Firefox 3.6, for details see http://www.computertechtips.net/64/make-firefox-4-look-like-ff-3-6
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • How can I reinstall the earlier version that should have been replaced by the new version but has been wiped off of my 10.4.11 and left me with only sufari mac

I attempted to install the new version of Firefox as it would not load my Hotmail account. I clicked 'replace' only to be told the new version could not be installed; I now have no Firefox at all to run on my (10.4.11) Mac Book Pro.
Can anyone let me know if I can reload my previous version of Firefox to use for internet purposes?
    Thanks.

Current Firefox versions require an Intel processor, which you have, '''''<u>and</u>''''' OSX 10.6, 10.7 or 10.8, you have OSX 10.4.11.
*OSX 10.5 and lower version numbers are no longer supported by Apple, you no longer receive stability or security updates from Apple, and using those old versions expose you to significant security risks online.
*Additionally, more and more software will not work with the old versions of OSX.
    *See - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-no-longer-works-mac-os-10-4-or-powerpc
    *See - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/20.0/system-requirements/
One suggestion in the first article above is to continue using Firefox 3.6.28 (no longer supported) and could expose you to known security risks online while using Firefox 3.6.28. <u>All Firefox versions that will run under OSX 10.5 and lower make you vulnerable to attack by hackers when you are online.</u>
    Your best option:
    #upgrade OSX to 10.6 or 10.7 or 10.8
#<s>try using TenFourFox, a third-party build of Firefox for older OSX versions ('''''may not take away the associated risk of using the older OSX versions''''')
    #*See - http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
#*Plugins not supported (extensions are supported), and there are options on this page as to how to install replacements for Adobe Flash and Quicktime, if you use those Plugins - https://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/wiki/PluginsNoLongerSupported</s>

  • How Do You Back-Up an Application That You Paid For and Downloaded?

Getting ready to do my first back-up EVER. I'm actually using 10.4.11 still, and am backing up before I install Leopard. But I DON'T want to back-up EVERY SINGLE APP on my iMac, because I already have many apps on CD. But there are a few apps I've bought online and downloaded. How do I back up just those? Is it as simple as dragging the icon of the app from the Applications folder to the back-up drive???

    Hi Smokerz,
Yeah, that's what I thought. Just dragging from the Applications folder doesn't take into account any files the application has created in the Library > Application Support folder and I don't know where else (but I wouldn't be surprised if there are other places and files, depending on the nature of the app.)
Dang. I've never saved the dmg file or the pkg file from anything I've downloaded. Live and learn.
And of course, any other insights or possibilities, anyone?
    Thanks!
