How do I access all my music on authorized devices?
I am having trouble accessing my music from all of my devices. My account shows that I have 3 devices that have access, but any music I have purchased on my laptop does not show up in my library on my iMac desktop computer. Help!
Thank you for trying to help! When I click on "Purchase" it only shows songs that I downloaded when using my Mac., not the music I downloaded using my laptop. You said I should "download the music that I bought"...do you mean I need to go to all the songs and download each one again (that would take forever as I have had my laptop for a long time and only just got my iMac last year). Why is my laptop library not accessible through my iMac automatically.
thx again!

Account in 2 different countries - How do i get all my music in ONE device?
I lived in Portugal and started my first Itunes account there with a portuguese credit card. purchased music etc..
Then moved to the US and changed my credit card and billing address and started purchasing stuff on the American stroe.
i was able to have it all untill the day i updagraded my IPHone 4S to IOS 7.0.3, i for some reason now cannot get the songs i bought using the portuguese store/credit card. and when i try to change stores to see if i can retrieve it, it says i cannot change to a different store either.
Do you think if i chance my credit card and billing address back to my portuguese one, then i can retrieve my music, save it and then put it all back to the US detials?
Hope to hear something positive
thanks
SilviaYou will only be able to redownload your Portuguese purchases if you return to Portugal and have a Portuguese billing address on your account - content is tied to the country as well as the acocunt, and you need to be in a country to use its store.
Do you not have a copy of all of your downloads/library on a backup ? -
Hi. I have shared an Apple ID with my children for some time. As they are getting older they do not wnat me seeing all their messages, photos etc so want their own accounts. How can they access their purchased music and apps on the new account please?
Yes.
On their iOS devices, under Settings>iTunes & App Store, they should use your Apple ID. When they log into iCloud, iMessage and Facetime, they should use their personal Apple IDs. -

Why would you set up a new account?
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
Its wrong to assume that everyone has a backup copy.
are you PC or Mac? -

How do I access my icloud music in airplane mode?
How do I access my iCloud music in airplane mode?
How do I access my iCloud music in airplane mode?
You cannot. Airplane mode disables all communications.
Download a few songs to your device before you enable airplane mode. -
How I can upload all my music CDs from my laptop's itunes to the iCloud? I want to free up space on my laptop and thought the iCloud was a storage site.
It's a syncing service, not a storage site. You can access your CD music from iCloud you have to subscribe to iTiunes Match: http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/.

Upgrading OS - How do I get all my music back into reinstalled iTunes?
Hi. We are upgrading my operating system from Windows 2000 to XP on my computer that currently runs iTunes. I have my entire iTunes folder backed up on another computer. I know I'll probably have to reinstall iTunes after the OS is upgraded. But how do I add all that music back into the new version of iTunes? We won't be replacing the hard drive, so all that music should still be on the same computer.
When I reinstall iTunes, will it automatically add the music back, or will I have to do that manually? If so, how do I do it? Just go to the "Add a folder" option in iTunes and add the entire iTunes folder? If I do that, my playlists should be restored since I have the .itl file in that folder, right?
This is so confusing.Install iTunes.
Copy the backed up iTunes folder into My Documents/My Music. -
I recently sync one song to my friends iphone 4 and it erased all the music and only put that one song. I tried backing it up but it didnt help. How do I put all previous music back on the iphone?
Re- sync the phone with the computer it was originally synced with.

I had to get my hard drive replaced from Apple, I lost all of my music obviously. My question is, how can I get all my music off of my iPhone onto iTunes? Since it's a new hard drive, the iPhone isn't recognizing this as it's home computer.
You will need to use third-party software to transfer music from your phone to the iTunes Library. I recommend Phone to Mac - Pod to Mac | Macroplant.com.

I have an ancient laptop (from 2005) that has my entire music library. This laptop barely works and some keys don't type anymore. How can I get all this music transferred to another computer, or available to me on the cloud?
No... do not move programs.
About the iTunes library files
Your iTunes library files track the media you add to iTunes, how you've organized it, and other information such as playlists. By default, these two files are in your iTunes folder:
Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music/iTunes/
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Windows Vista: C:\Users\username\Music\iTunes\
Windows 7: C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\
Windows 8: C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\ -
Hi, do you know how can I upload inelegible songs from itunes to Icloud. They are songs added from original CDs. Another question would be how can I transfer all the music I have in my Ipod Classic to my Itunes or ICloud as I want to back it up.
Depends on why it's ineligible. If it's under 96 Kpbs, try right-clicking on the file and choosing Create AAC Version. (If you don't see this option, go to iTunes>Preferences, click "Import Settings..." then choose "Import Using: AAC Encoder" and "Setting: iTunes Plus".) Then rescan your library to see if this version will add to iTunes Match. Or, after changing your import setting, just re-import the song to your iTunes library.
If the song is over 200 MB you would have to reduce it's size to make it eligible. -
How do I move ALL my music in iTunes back to its original space on my desktop. I have music on my desktop, music on an external hard drive and some saved on a flash. I cannot backup my music because I cannot locate it. I have 4 separate music libraries (same songs) but don't know where to begin to get my music and libraries back in order. CAN SOMEONE SHOW ME THE WAY HOME?
Hi there old45,
You may find the information in the article below helpful.
iTunes 11 for Windows: Change where your iTunes files are stored
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12365
Consolidate your files in the iTunes folder
You can consolidate all the files in your library in the iTunes folder—for example, to make it easier to move your library to a new computer.
Choose File > Library > Organize Library.
Select “Consolidate files.”Files remain in their original locations, and copies are placed in the iTunes folder.
To create folders (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, Audiobooks, and so on) inside your iTunes folder, and place all your imported media files in the appropriate folders, select “Reorganize files in the folder ‘iTunes Media.’”
Locate your iTunes files
Do either of the following:
Find out where a file is stored: Select the item in iTunes, and choose File > Get Info. The path to the file is shown at the bottom of the Summary pane (next to Where).
Show the file in Windows Explorer: Select the song, and choose File > Show in Explorer.
