How do I access Bridge CS6?

How do I access Bridge CS6?  I downloaded the CS6 Beta and cannot access Bridge CS6 only Bridge CS5.

Hi, you don't mention what system you are using. Mac or PC
On Mac running Lion I use Launchpad and select the Icon.
Within CS6 I mainly use the Mini Bridge icon which you can
"unsnap" and enlarge to move away from the filmstip style.
On the PC sorry can't help you.
Julieanne Kost has a bunch of keyboad shortcuts here.

  • How do I uninstall Bridge CS6?

Unfortunately I have to use Photoshop and DreamWeaver.  I don't want to have to be saddled with anything else.  How do I remove Bridge CS6 without affecting the two applications I actually have to use?
    Kind regards,
    Paul.

    It sounds like a punishment??
    It is.
I used to like PhotoShop in the days that it was PhotoShop and not some piece of ridiculous bloatware.
As soon as we've released enough cash from the purchase of this software we won't be coming back to Adobe.  The number of bugs in DreamWeaver is also unreasonable, especially based on the cost and very limited changes since the MX days.
    These were poor purchases.

Just deleting the files may work for you, but not recommended as you may impact the other program that it is a part of.  I have seen posts between user and Adobe where they provide specifc files to remove but it was a rather involved process and only recommended for the computer savy.
Thanks.  I've removed the whole app from access by DW and PS by removing access to the folder from Everyone.  I'll see how it gets on and then may delete it later.

  • I am unable to access Bridge CS6 within Photoshop CS6

I am unable to access Bridge CS6 within Photoshop CS6 using the File menu>Browse in Bridge. Instead, I receive an error message stating that "Bridge CS6 was not found on this system.  To use this command, please reinstall Bridge CS6".  Also, Mini Bridge fails to connect with Bridge CS6. Any suggestions?  I'm using Mac Operating System 10.6.8

    Hi Pragya,
I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CS6 and the problem has not been solved.  The only way I am able to open Bridge is through its own application folder. Once I'm in Bridge, I can access Photoshop CS6 by going to the file menu and choosing  Open With > Photoshop CS6. Bridge seems to be able to comminicate with Photoshop CS6 but Photoshop CS6 is unable to recognize or find Bridge CS6.  Any other suggests? Thank you.

  • How do I get Bridge CS6 to recognize collections created in Bridge CS4?

I just downloaded Photoshop CS6 beta. When I opened Bridge CS6, my collections (created in Bridge CS4) were not visible. Is there a way to import the collections into CS6?

Hello, on collections can be found on:
    MAC: user/library/application/support/Adobe/Bridge (CS4 - CS5)/collections
    WIN: it should be [osdisk]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS4 -5)\collections
You could try to import them to the same folder for CS6.

  • How can i reset Bridge CS6 to its default settings?

    Hello,
i have a problem with Bridge CS6. Somehow its very slow and lags. when i tried to open a folder it takes sometimes several minutes before anything happens. is there a way to reset bridge to its default settings without reinstalling?
    Thanks

    What OS?
It is probably either a full HD or too large of a cache.  You should have 10-20% free space on HD.  You can purge cache in edit/preferences/cache.
If you have cache exported to folders also this will not purge it.  Have to go to Tools/cache/purge cache for xxx folder.

  • How to save Adobe Bridge CS6 keywords to install on new computer

I am getting a new computer and need to do a new installation of Photoshop CS6. Last time I did this I lost all my keywords on the keyword panel. How can I avoid that this time?

You might need contact Adobe Support directly by chat or phone to get this resolved.  A couple years ago the versions that qualified for upgrading to CS6 changed to being only CS5+, so CS4 would no longer be valid.  If you bought CS6 while CS4 was still valid then it should remain so, but you might need the help of Adobe Support to make that happen.
If you use the following link you should be able to find links at the end for contacting Adobe by chat or phone.  If you do not see them try using a different browser.

My CS6 Bridge has an option for uploading to social media sites, but facebook has an unspecified error when I attempt to log into it.

  • How do I access my CS6 font library in CC?

I'm using Adobe CC InDesign, but I can't seem to figure out how to import all of my fonts from CS6.  Can anyone help?

Locate the iTunes folder from the user profile on the rescued drive, typically at X:\Users\<User>\Music\iTunes. Delete the "empty" iTunes library from your current User's Music folder and copy in the originial library in its place.

  • How I can make Bridge CS6 and Lightroom 4 share the same set of keywords in real time?

Can we point to the same file on the hard drive?
What is the current best workflow practice for keyword sync between the two apps?
    Thanks

FYI - Right ON to mention the preferences/catalog settings/"automatically write changes into xmp" (check this box if you are smart), this is serious mandatory knowledge and I got burned by it in the past and lost all edits on who knows how many files, I still have a mess in  folder from it.
To clarify for folks here: This feature (preferences/catalog settings/"automatically write changes into xmp") saves all of your camera raw edits into your file so that they do not get lost if your catalog or computer dies. This was intended to be used for DNG files and is a bit confusing as an xmp sidecar file implies that it is outside of a file ,yet with a DNG file it is unmentioned that the data gets safely stored inside the file for recalling CamRaw edits and metadata - this is the way I have always worked - .NEF Nikon converted to DNG upon import into LR
preferences/catalog settings/"automatically write changes into xmp" was turned off in LR2 and maybe 3 as it does slow your machine down while always saving every move you make but it is well worth it.
If you find that your preferences/catalog settings/"automatically write changes into xmp" feature has never been turned on and want to get properly set up here is one way to do it.
First , turn it on by checking the box : preferences/catalog settings/"automatically write changes into xmp"
Then select the top level of all photos I have a folder called Photography on my drive, you may have to do this to more than one folder ect.
Then make sure show subfolders is ON and LR is looking at all images down through all folders.
Get Ready... select all CTL Aor CMD A then hit save CTRL S or CMD S - then be ready to let the machine work for a couple of hours if you have a lot of images.
This just might save your hiney one day
Thanks to John for bringing this up.

  • How to modify Bridge CS6 default sub-folder date format while importing?

How could I modify Bridge CS6 default sub-folder date format when we are importing images from a connected camera? Default format for shooting date is aaaammjj. I would like instead aaaa_mm_jj. How could I add "_" to the date format?

You only can do so after the import process using a third party app called A better finder Rename,  originally designed for Mac but they seem to have a Windows version also:

  • With the CS6 Beta, I cannot get into Bridge CS6.  Bridge CS5 keeps coming up instead.

How do I get Bridge CS6???  Even if I go to the folder with Bridge CS6 and try to activate it from the command line, Bridge CS5 comes up.  What am I doing wrong

    Hi Harvey,
Please make sure Br CS5 is not running in background (it is active and minimized to system tray)
In Windows, right-click the Bridge CS5 icon in the Notification Area of the Start Bar in Windows, and choose Exit Bridge. If you still cannot close Bridge, open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete. In Task Manager, choose Bridge and select End Task.
In Mac OS, Ctrl-click the Bridge CS5 icon in the dock and choose Quit.
Now try accessing Br CS6 it would work.

    Ashutosh

  • I am trying to uninstall Bridge CS6, but there is no uninstaller.  Running OSX Mavericks.

I have Photoshop CS6 and Bridge CS6 installed on my MacbookPro, and would like to remove Bridge CS6.  I have followed the uninstall instructions for the other CS6 Suite of products I had, but I am unable to find a Bridge CS6 uninstaller.  How do I remove Bridge CS6?
    Cheers

  • Bridge CS6: How do you write a script to assign a shortcut to "Batch" and "Image Processor"?

Many times a day I need to access "Batch" and "Image Processor" in Bridge.
There is no shortcut, so I have to go the Tools-Photoshop-Batch and Tools-Photoshop-Image Processor menu - the items I need are locked into a second level menu.
    Which is impractical.
I remember, when I started out with Photoshop many years ago, I downloaded "Deke Keyes" from Deke McClelland, which included keystrokes for "Batch" and "Image Processor".
From the Bridge forum I learned that you cannot assign shortcuts in Bridge CS6.
So the general opinon was that a script was used to assign the shortcuts.
Could you please tell me how to do that?
    Thanks!
PS: I tried to assign shortcuts via the Mac OS X Mountain Lion keyboard preferences (applications), but it did not work.

    Hi,
in the exit:Event of the 1st date field add this FormCalc script:
    DateField2 = Num2Date(Date2Num($.formattedValue, "DD.MM.YYYY") + 21, "DD.MM.YYYY")
You may have to change th date pattern  "DD.MM.YYYY" in the way you need it.

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 (Mac) won't open .arw files from my Sony RX100. How do I get and install the right version of Camera Raw?

Adobe Bridge CS6 (Mac) won't open .arw files from my Sony RX100. I was told to update Camera Raw to at least 7.2. I tried to download this but got a DNG Converter instead. Where is Camera Raw? (it does not show up in a search of my hard drive. There is a folder of camera profiles but no extension or plug-in with this name). How do I find out what version I have already? How do I get the correct version?  . . . OR . . . is it the case that Bridge will never open Sony raw files directly and I will have to do a separate conversion process every time I want to use a raw file??. Can someone explain this?
    Thanks.
