How do I access iWork on my mac?

I've recently downloaded Keynote on my new iPad2, and was really hoping to create presentations on it that I could transfer to my iMac, which is about 2 years old and has MS Office.
When I go directly to iwork.com, the webpage is blank where there should be a sign in box. When I try and follow the email link on my mac instead, I get a 'loading your document' page, but nothing ever loads.
I am not very computer literate, but I've tried updates to Safari, turning off Kaspersky, resetting Safari and none of this has made any difference. Can anyone help?

there are other ways to move the document from your iPad to your Mac.
By far the simplest is just emailing the document itself to you, just click on the export button in keynote choose email and what file type you'd prefer, and it'll be on your email inbox on your mac.
Another way would be to use iTunes export. Choose to export the document in keynote to iTunes. choose the file type (PowerPoint would be best for you if you have MS Office) then plug you're iPad into iTunes, select you're iPad in the side bar and choose the applications tab, at the bottom of the page you can choose to se the files in keynote and download them directly from your iPad to your computer

Make sure you are signed in to iCloud using the same AppleID as used for the files.
Settings app > iCloud > Documents&Data. Make sure each of the iWorks apps is turned on.
Go to the settings for each app and make sure (Use iCloud)
For 2 or 3 above, if they are already on, turn them off and then back on.

How can I access mail on my mac from my iPad?

I have recently converted to imac and ipad mini from Windows and so am still a newcomer to planet apple. I think I have eventually sorted myself out but with one exception in mail.
I have transferred my outlook for mac filing system to mail using OLM Converter pro and all seems well except that I want to be able to see use and sync the filing system from my ipad mini as well as the mac. It seems I need to transfer the filing system on my mac to the server so the ipad can access it - is this right, can it be done and how?

You can only update software from the Mac App Store if the that is where it was purchsed and downloaded from.
Since you installed from the DVD, your updates should be available from your Apple menu > Software Update.

Has anyone determined a way to read email sent to a .mac alias through the iPhone? I'm only seeing messages sent to my primary email address. When I try to add the alias as a separate account on the phone, it is rejected by the mail.mac.com server.

I have sucessfully set up my .mac alias (using .mac mail).
First make a note of your primary account information:
Username & password
Incoming mail server
Outgoing mail server
Ports etc...
You will be applying these settings to your new account.
On iPhone go to:
* Settings/mail/add account/choose "other".
* Sellect type: imap
Name the account (name you want to appear in "from" field of email).
Type in your .mac alias address.
Description: Name of mailbox (i.e. personal, work).
Incoming mail server (enter info from your primary account):
* Host Name: mail.example.com (or mail.mac.com)
* Your primary account username
* Your primary account password
Outgoing mail server (enter info from your primary account)
In my case, for out going mail server I am using:
smtp.att.yahoo.com, port: 465
My username & password
Now, on my iPhone mail, I can select which account to send & receive from.
Personal or work.

Lion will only let you add documents to iCloud through iCloud.com, iCloud.com requires the iOS apps before you can use it.
Mountain Lion will let you add documents to iCloud from the iWork apps themselves, you don't then need the iOS apps before they can be opened on another Mac.

Well, you are probably already logged in. you can't access iCloud as a hard drive or like a jump drive. One way to access it is in your iWork documents by saving docs in iCloud and then open them out of iCloud. look in System Preferences/iCloud and that is your control panel for all you iCloud attacments.

This issue is blocking my access to iTunes and any other file from my home computer. It keeps on telling me that I have to autorise my computer to pass on files, yet, it seems, for all this to happen, I need to get logged in through the phone's Apple ID. This of course is different to my one on my computer - and I have no password for it.
This phone is not stolen!! I payed still a fair bit for it. Am still in contact with the previous owner. He doesn't know how to fix the problem either.
Would appreciate any suggestion ????

Settings>general>resets>erase all content and settings.
That will put it back to its out of the box state. Set it up with your own apple Id.

Format the external drive as FAT32 or ExFAT. Both computers will then be able to read and write to it.
