How do I access my photoshop settings on snow leapard?

I need to change my settings in photoshop elements 9, over to 'setting one'. But where is the file saved on snow leapard? If I upgraded to Lion will it sort this problem out and put them somewhere more accessable?

Yes. "setting one" is a set of settings, i saved as a custom setting, where i set my own prefered numerical values. For tools such as,  photomerge stylematch, texturizers, blurs such as surface blurs, motion blurs. I changed the values in the tool's style intensity & clarity settings that they start up with, so that they do not  damage or interfere with the image, by opening up with too higher intensity settings. This damage does not show on screen, but when printed it shows. I need these tools to open up on a very low setting. I Also had the eraser tool set to be able to use on any opacity setting, without causing smear marks where the rubbings overlap each other. This is also more apparent  once the image is printed.
However, i did save this setting, i am currently using the default setting.which is the values photoshop was set as, when i first installed it. I need to change back to my custom setting, but i do not know how or where to find it on the MAC!! I do a lot of printing so this setting is vital to me.

  • How do I access my raw settings for further use?

I opened a jpg in CR, made some changes, opened the image, then saved (from within PS) and closed it.
Later I needed to create a duplicate of this image and apply the same CR settings I'd used, but I can't find them. When I open the original jpg, all of the CR settings are set to zero.
Is there any way I can access the CR settings I entered? I want to see what they are, not delete them, not get back to the pre-CR-edit stage.
If this is not possible, what could I have done otherwise to retain access to my CR settings? Should I have saved the image from within CR? If so, how would the CR settings be availalbe for tweaking or copying?
Is there an automatic xmp file that would have this info, and if yes, where would i find it?
Finally, how do I save CR settings in the future for subsequent access?
    Many thanks!

The xmp data is written into the original jpeg file, not a sidecar file.
Here's the drill (I'm doing it as I write this msg):
    1. Select a jpeg in Bridge.
    2. Right click on the image and select Open in Camera Raw...
    3. Perform an edit (I did a drastic exposure reduction to make the edits obvious).
    4. Click on Open Image, comes up in Photoshop with edits.
    5. Shutdown PS and Bridge.
    6. Re-open Bridge, select and open same image.  Opens in Camera Raw automatically, shows edits, and new CR settings.
As I stated in my earlier post, the only way to "de-Camera Raw" the jpeg image is to clear settings from within Bridge.  Again, the jpeg is being re-written with the edits within the file as exif data.  And no, there is no message that such a re-write is occurring.

  • How can I access Advanced Javascript Settings?

I'm aware that, in recent versions of Firefox, the ability to disable Javascript has been removed. I don't intend to re-open discussion of that particular decision. But removing that option has also removed access to the Advanced Javascript Settings menu, which was far more useful than simply disabling Javascript itself. For example, although I rarely disabled Javascript entirely (other than when debugging my own site), I routinely disabled the ability of websites to disable context menus or to move and resize pop-up windows.
Unlike disabling Javascript entirely, these are settings which provide a positive benefit for "ordinary" (non-developer) users. If, say, I want to open a link in a new tab, then the correct way to do that is to right-click on it. Sites which disable right-click degrade the user experience, and allowing a way to override that is a good thing. Whatever the justification for removing the ability to disable Javascript entirely (and I do understand it, even if I don't agree with it), I can't see any justification for removing access to these advanced settings.
So my question is, how can I re-enable access to the Advaned javascript Settings? I can't see any obvious setting for it in about:config, and simply disabling javascript entirely via that method isn't what I want to do.

The href value javascript:void(0) is a placeholder to be shown when you hover a link, so you can see that this is not a normal link.<br />
The actual action is done via an onclick handler that is tied to the button (link), so if this isn't working then this can be caused by a script that didn't run properly to add this onclick action to the button or that JavaScript is blocked on that website possibly by an extension.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
Note that there is also security software that can block pop-ups and JavaScript, so check that as well.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

  • How can I access a Photoshop Elements catalog on an external hard disc from both: Mac and Windows PC

How can the directories and path be named, that catalog can access the same picture files.

    TZachmann wrote:

That means you should have both your files and your catalog on the external drive, and you plug in your external drive alternatively to one or the other computer.
Are your picture files already on the external drive ? If they are, you only need to copy the catalog folder to the external drive, as explained later,
otherwise, simply do a backup/restore to the external drive, with the choice to restore on custom location.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html
(moving to the external drive is similar to moving to another computer)
    Moving the catalog :
First locate where your catalog folder is situated : menu help / system info.
Copy the whole folder to the external drive.
In the copied catalog, double click the catalog.pse12db file, that will open the organizer and the new catalog. It will appear in the 'custom location' section in the catalog manager.
Backup and restore solution : restore on 'custom location', that is to a new master folder created on the external drive.
The first time you are using the catalog on either computer, you'll have to use the catalog manager (file / catalog...) to browse to the external drive location of the catalog. After that, the location will be remembered in each computer.

  • How can I access my PhotoShop files after my free trial ends? (Mac OS)

How can I? Adobe chat support said they could not help me. I do not believe I should have to pay Adobe for PhotoShop to access files I legally own (you have to love what they teach you about copyright in school) that are on my own personal computer. This isn't the biggest deal in the world, but I did spend a few hours on the files.

They should be, but I can not find them (I have even dug deep into the Adobe files).
    I have reloved my problem.

  • How do you access full printer settings for printing?

I wanted to print something for the first time yesterday.
I've got 3 printers attached used for different things.
When I selected print it brought up a basic print box that let me choose printer, paper type and size, but I couldn't access any more specific settings - specifically one of my Canon printers has A4 paper loaded in a tray for documents and 6x4 paper in the auto sheet feeder - I couldn't find a way to change which paper source to use, and the printer is in another room conneceted via an Airport Express to save a bit of space.
Is this another 'dumbed down' feature of iLife '08?

Yes, at device level or common phone profile
    Settings Access:

When Settings Access is disabled, the Settings button is completely disabled; no options appear when you press the button. Also, you cannot adjust the ringer volume or save any volume settings. By default, Settings Access is enabled.

  • How do I access advanced security settings (like in the old firefox) not the pathetic "advanced" screen in firefox4 ?

I want to get to the oldstyle control panel then if there are no further options available under preferences - security/advanced. I use to be able to set things like java applets to prompt the user before running rather than simply enabling or disabling java (for example). They are the only two options available in the current menu system.

Set the pref <b>browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent</b> to false on the about:config page.
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

i cant find it when i hit edit airport extreme? I really need help

The NAT firewall is either "on" or "off".
Open AirPort Utility, click the AirPort icon, then click Edit
Click the Network tab at the top of the screen
Look at the setting for Router Mode
If Router Mode is set to DHCP and NAT, then the NAT firewall is automatically enabled.
If Router Mode is set to Off (Bridge Mode), then the NAT firewall is not enabled.
