  • How do I access my time capsule over the internet

    How do I access my time capsule over the internet. I've already set it up to share over WAN, but I have ATT so my TC is connected to the router provided by ATT can I still access my TC via the internet even though its not directly connected to the Ethernet?

    The TC should be in bridge mode.. not setup to share over wan.. that will never work. That is assuming you haven't bridged the ATT router.
    Once you bridge the TC see if you can setup BTMM using icloud settings in the TC. As per the Apple docos.. here.
    You should also be able to directly access the TC since you have a router with dyndns client at a guess.. the setup is simply forward port 548 to the TC.
    Google search this.. there is huge number of resources available. eg

  • How do I access Camera Raw Plug-in for PSE 11?

    I can't figure out how to access the Camera Raw plug-in for Photoshop Elements 11 ( on a Macbook Pro OSX.)  I recently installed  PSE 11, and when I select "about plug-in" within the app, it brings up a box that shows version 7.1.0.354.  Does that mean it's already installed?  If so, how do I access it to edit a photo? In past PSE versions I simply chose "Open file / as Camera Raw" but that option doesn't come up.

    In the File Open dialog ensure you have All Readable Documents selected for Enable.
    Click on the file you want to open
    Change the Format to Camera Raw

  • HT1178 How can I access the Time Capsule HD from my PC?

    Hi,
    I bought the Time Capsule because I thought it was a easy way of creating a small home network with a shared HD and printer. The wireless setup was easy but everything else doesn't seem that straight forward. I soon found out that I could not just plug my USB printer. You actually need a WPS printer which was not clear in the product description. Anyhow, just need a new printer.
    The main issue for me is being able to share files between my devices (Apple and non-Apple) as well as share the HD. I cannot find a way of configuring my PC or TC so that I can access the TC HD from my PC. Has anyone been able to configure that?
    Thanks

    You can plug a printer in via USB.. but not all printers work.. nor does airprint . but that has nothing to do with the Apple router.. that is how apple designed iOS.
    What printer do you have?
    Getting USB printer working can be tricky because by its nature you are networking a printer designed for local connection.. not networking.
    To share printers and file sharing load the airport utility for windows into the windows computer.. that includes bonjour for windows which is helpful for sharing of apple network devices.. and there is a disk agent.
    That might get you in without anything else.
    No luck remember windows does not work well with the names apple uses by default.. make sure all names on the TC conform with windows networking.. ie short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
    In windows explorer address bar type
    \\TCname or \\TCIPaddress (where clearly you replace the TCname with actual name or the TCIPaddress with the actual IP address).
    If that still fails... then you have firewall issues.. turn off all firewalls in the PC .. there can be several running.
    And make sure the PC is set to home as location . .not office or public.

  • How do i access my time machine after format?

    Alright so i have a 500gb hard drive formatted for mac and all.
    I used Time Machine and everything's good. I've checked the back up before the format. It works everything's there.
    I've formatted by computer using Find app on another device. Now i got my hard drive plugged into my computer and trying to select my hard drive for it. When it does and it opens up into the time machine where u give multiple finders in front of each other. I only get one and that one is the system that i have now. The formatted one. How do i use time machine to access my previous files so i can put my mac back.

  • How do I access my time capsule using a Ethernet cable connected to my pc?

    I am trying to access my saved files on my time capsule. I don't have internet so I'm trying to use an Ethernet cable.  I'm using a PC laptop not a Mac.  I have no idea how to access them.

    Load the airport utility for windows.. as that helps by loading the bonjour for windows service.
    Then open windows explorer and type the IP of the TC directly which you will find in the airport utility.
    \\10.0.1.1 (that is default.. replace with whatever the actual is).

  • How do i access my Time capsule HD from my PC

    hi
    I have just set up a new Time Capsule, how do i acess the HD on the time capsule from my PC?
    Thanks,
    Joel

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    As the Time Capsule's drive is a network drive, you can access to the Time Capsule's hard drive without any problem.
    In a PC, open a Windows Explorer window and select Network in the sidebar, so you should see your Time Capsule. Just double-click it and you will access to its drive. Also, you should be able to access to it from My Computer

  • How do I access system time in MatrixX v62.2?

    I have written a number of scripts (MathScript) to extract block information from my SystemBuild models.  I have thought that it would be useful to display the elapsed time after the script has executed, however the functions provided in the version that I'm running (MatrixX version 62.2) don't seem to provide what I'm looking for.  The function I am currently trying to use is clock() and its variants;
    clock() - is no good, as it gives you the elapsed time since the last call.  If I write code that looks like this;
    clock()
    doSomeStuff()
    elapsedTime = clock()
    I can't be guaranteed that there are no calls to clock() within doSomeStuff(), so elapsedTime may not be the time elapsed since I called doSomeStuff().
    I'm running on a windows xp platform, so clock({cpu}) does the same as clock().
    Of course, I could use the clock({time}) and clock({date}) variants, convert them to a time in seconds since the start of the day or the month and just use that as a reference, but that just seems kinda wrong.  Although it is unlikely that anyone would be running these scipts at 12:00 at night at the end of the month, I know that somewhere along the way something had to know the system time to figure out the time and the date anyway.
    Is this conversion performed by clock()?  What function(s) does it use to access the system time? Are they accessible directly from XMath?

    Thanks for the feedback Bob.  I hadn't really considered using the negative result produced across 12:00 as a trigger for just adding another 24 hours to the result.  I can't see myself needing to run a script that runs for more than 24 hours, I just wanted some feedback so that I know how long they're running for.
    I will attach a version of the mso that I have built in case anyone wants it (had to attach as a txt, as mso is not in the allowed list).

  • How do I access my Time Capsul data on a PC?

    I just got my MacBook stole and I need to access the data stored on my Time Capsul but I dont know how to do that on a PC running on Windows.
    Thanks

    If the Mac data is stored as part of Time Machine backups, you will not be able to access it from a PC. On the other hand, if you were using your Time Capsule as a NAS device, you should be able to access any files stored from any network device, regardless if it runs OS X, Windows, or Linux.
    If you situation is the latter than please check out this Apple Support article for the details. (Note: Although the article references an AirPort Extreme Base Station, it still apples for a Time Capsule.)

  • How can I access the time capsule hard drive via ethernet?

    I recently bought a new laptop, as my old one was sadly stolen. I'm trying to connect to my backed up time capsule hard drive via ethernet to retrieve my files, but it doesn't seem to work. Oddly enough I have no issues over wifi. When I switch from wifi to ethernet, it gives me an error message stating that the disk was not found in the network. I have a MacBook Air with an ethernet adapter if that makes any difference. I'm also running the latest OS X and firmware. Wifi is simply too slow for this restoration process, so any suggestions?
    Could I possibly connect via USB? What kind of cable would that require? Is the ethernet issue a problem with my settings?
    Help greatly appreciated

    In the Network panel of System Preferences do you have an Ethernet connection item on the left? If not, authenticate if necessary by clicking on the lock, then click the plus sign at the bottom of that column and add an Ethernet item.
    When I switch from wifi to ethernet, it gives me an error message stating that the disk was not found in the network.
    How are you doing that switching? When you switch to Ethernet do you have connectivity to the Internet? If not, do you see a tiny green light on the Time Capsule next to the Ethernet socket you're using?
    Could I possibly connect via USB?
    No.

  • How can i access the Time Machine backup on my QSAN NAS device?

    Hi
    I have a QSAN TS412 TurboNas. I have set it up to be used for Time Machine backup and it works fine.
    I have anothe device with over a year worth of backups on it and i would like to transfer them to the QSAN device, however the TimeMachine location is not accessible in finder, only the TM app can access it.
    I am not the farmiliar with MAC's but am sure there must be a way to get the files where i want them.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    Hi
    I have been trying to talk to QSAN, but it is very tedious. They are not the most helpful of companies.
    I have 10.7.4, it is supported by QSAn, but they just say that it cannot be accessed by finder.
    I though a "wiz kid" in the forum may know what to do.

  • I have my MacBook 13' (2006) backed up on Time Machine. I just replaced the hard drive. How do I access the Time Machine to resotre my files, setting and programs on the new HD?

    I am running Snow Leopard and have my old files isolated in a new folder on the laptop, but I want to restore the old settings, programas, etc. from the Time Machine. TM is currently backing up the new HD as if it were a new computer.

    Instead of using Time Capsule or Time Machine to access the archived backup, use Migration Assistant to restore the backup from Time Capsule. Worked like a charm.

  • How can I access old Time Machine backups after restoring from Time Machine?

    Just restored my iMac and I can only see "Now" when I enter Time Machine. How can I see all the backups and dates I had before I restored?

    While in Time Machine, press the key combination shift-command-C. The front window will show all mounted volumes. All snapshots should now be accessible. Select the one you want and navigate to the files you want to restore.

  • How do I access the PianoTeq plug-in from within GarageBand?

    The plug-in seems to be installed in the correct two places.

    Did you Look in your User/Library. In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
    It's called Snapfish.iPhotoExporter.  Download and run  Find Any File  to search for it.  FAF can search areas of the hard drive, like invisible folders, packages (applications), etc., that Spotlight.

  • How do I access the Quicktime video editor in iMovie?

    I'm trying to access the Quicktime video editor (the one that allowed you to sharpen your videos, among other adjustments) that used to be there in iMovie. I'm running iMovie 10.0.5 on OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 and can't seem to find it.

    The latest incarnation of iMovie doesn't offer the 'Export with Quicktime'-options, the previous versions did.
