How do I access songs I've purchased in the past on a new computer?

I got a new MP3 player as my iPod recently died. However, I haven't purchased any songs since Fall 2012. I'm currently on a new computer I purchased in November 2012 and just realized I haven't used iTunes in some time. Now I'm trying to get my songs and library I had previously on this computer. I've paid for these songs already so shouldn't I be able to download them again without paying a second time? Thanks in advance!
