How do I acquire signal few seconds before triggering
Hello guys,
I am working on impact test and I want to acquire signal few seconds before trigger starts. How do I configure my DAQ assistant to do that?

Well usually you configure your DAQ device (Which one do you use?) to continiously capture data into a ringbuffer and set the triggerposition to 20%-50% (related to the number of samples you want to read). After the trigger is set the start of your data will be set by the driver.
All this is done by the DAQmx or scope driver. Just set the samplerate, number of samples, trigger and position of trigger.

Thank you very much guys. Looking back on how I ended up in this situation in the first place, I started by google searching "apple support", clearly I was mistaken and ended up calling one of the google adverts instead of real apple support. My wholehearted apology goes out to apple whom obviously did not answer my phone call.

Boy am I red in the face. These people are masquerading as genuine apple support people when clearly they are not. I think tonight I will call them back and simply scream vulgarities at them for as long as they stay on the line.
A good lesson has been learned by me and hopefully anyone reading this.
Get your support phone number from the apple website and not a google search.
Man do I feel dumb, although I would feel a lot dumber if I had bought into the pile of garbage these people were trying to feed me.
Apple I hope you litigate a cease and desist order on these people because they pretend to be the real deal. They did not even try to correct me when I called them apple support, nor did they properly identify the company that they are truly representing. -
when I try to click on links or move about the internet, the screen freezes and I see a little whirligig. Then it takes a few seconds before the whirlygig becomes the pointer again and going to the item I clicked. Why is the screen freezing?
Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Click "Reset".
Empty Caches
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
Turn off Extensions if any, and launch Safari.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

My iPhone is getting stuck for a few seconds everytime I do something, if i type a letter it will type it twice or a few times, if i click to close the browser it stucks there for a few seconds before closing, if i try to open some app it gets stuck there.
I have restored it and loaded the backed up material again. But this problem doesnt seem to go away. Sometimes it is too much sometimes it is not noticeable, so what exactly could be wrong and what ALL should I do to get it fixed? Please reply.Thank you. You are very kind. First I backed everything up, then restored as a new phone, and then i couldn't see the contacts, the contacts were not restored when i restored as a new phone. So in order to get the contacts I restored from the backup but then the same problem happened again.
What I meant to saw was that the probelm disappeared when i restored as a new phone, but it reappeared when i restored from the backup. So is there a way to just somehow get the old contacts when the phone is restored as a new phone. All I need from the current phone is the contacts to be there when I retore as a new phone.

You can try to remove unwanted programs, such as malware, that can interrupt your computer, from your computer.
Start > Configuration Panel > Delete a program
If that doesn't help the problem, try to open the system files, and remove the files that aren't normal on your computer
(be sure that you don't delete files or programs that you are going to use later! The program won't function normally!)
Start > Computer > C: > Program Files
Then delete the unwanted files. But be sure ofwhich you delete.

When in the Wi-Fi menu under settings, my iPod five will display the different wifi networks in range, including my home wifi network. The shown network has full bars and my laptop will connect to the network with no trouble. When the wifi on my ipod is selected though, it will show it is loading to connect, it will actually connect for five-ten or sometimes twenty seconds, and then it will disconnect. The wifi never automatically connects on my iPod5. It always has to be done manually and then does not establish a complete connection. No matter where I stand in the house, even if it is right beside the router, this happens. Sometimes when the network is chosen it refuses to connect and gives the message "Unable to Join". I've had it for a year and a half and for about the first six months it never had this problem. But then it began, and it would go through monthly cycles of working perfectly and doing what it is doing now. As of now I haven't been able to connect for three months. I'd like to think it's simply the wifi itself but mine and my sibling's laptops will connect with no trouble. It's extremely frustrating and I have no idea how to handle the problem. Please help?
Hey Saanasaana, Have you tried going into Settings>General>Reset and tapping Reset All Settings. If still no joy... Reset Network Settings and rebooting the router. If that doesn't do it, try Settings then tap the offending Wi-Fi Network, then tap Forget this Network and re-load it, as if it was a new network.
Your next options are to Restore. Connect to your iPod with your computer with the cable, and make new backups / copies of all your stuff to your computer first, then Restore from Backup. If that does not solve, Restore to New, a full restore. Note restore to new will wipe you iPod put it back to factory specs, that's why your need to make backups of everything on your iPod before you do it so you can reload your stuff back to your iPod. If the full restore does not solve you may have a hardware issue, contact your Apple store or Apple Genius Bar and set up an appointment to have your iPod evaluated. Good luck. Cheers. -
Screensaver says "Loading Photos" for a few seconds before starting

I have a mid 2011 Imac and am running OSX 10.9.5. I have a photo screensaver which directs to a specific folder of about 2,000 photos (total size of 8 GBs). Before the screen saver starts, it displays a screen saying "Loading Photos" for approximately 5 seconds. I know this is a small problem, but it's annoying. This used to not happen and the photos would start being displayed immediately after the screen saver starts. I think this "Loading photos" started around the time I upgraded to Mavericks. I just installed 8 more GBs of RAM (total of 12), thinking this would solve the problem, but the "Loading photos" still happens.
How can I fix this? Is this symptomatic of other speed issues?
Thanks.Safari is a fully Universal Application which means it does not run under Rosetta on an Intel Mac, nor does it run under Rosetta on PowerPC based machine as Rosetta does not exist for PowerPC.
I have no idea what you could possibly mean when you say you watch WMP clips, unless you have a WMP player visible in Safari. In this case Safari is still not running under Rosetta but possibly the WMP player is.
Also try using real words in your replies rather than bad spelling. Your reply should have been "Yes it does, that's how I watch WMP clips", hardly difficult. -

Internet access only available for a few seconds before dying
I've just purchased a new iMac and I'm having problems connecting to the internet. I have a DSL modem router which is configured up and working correctly. I can plug my old PC into it and it works fine, however when I plug it in to my new iMac I have to reset it and then I get about 20 seconds access before it dies. The IP address is still assigned and everything but all traffic seems to stop. If I reset the router again, I'll get another 20 seconds access once it finishes booting. I don't think it's a router issue as I can plug a windows laptop in also and it works fine.
Those settings would appear to be correct, so the computer is getting the IP number from the router.
I tried a ping test against www.apple.com after resetting the router, and it was an unknown host . . . Yes, it gave me nothing either: 100% packet loss; but another www address was OK.
If you enter that router IP number in a browser, do you get a configuration page for the router itself? Does the router need a WEP or WAP password?
Have you also tried, (A) setting up a new Location rather than use the default, "Automatic" or (B) creating a new user account and setting up from there?
What router do you have, by the way? -
How can I acquire signal from the 2 counters on my 6034e board?
I want to record one analog signal and one counter/timer signal with Diadem 8. I have a 6034e board. AI is not a problem, but when I define a counter in Diadem, for one of the two counters of the board, I get no or strange readings.
In MAX, I can only test one feature: pulse counts. So I connect a TTL signal between the source and the digital ground, and it counts a random number, of around 20-30 pulses, for each trigger. Same in Diadem. When I try period measurement (connected at the gate) or others with Diadem, I don't get anything.
I believe my wiring is correct as I'm used to counters with the PC-TIO-10 c/t board.
