How do I activate my new phone?

This may seem like a dumb question but how do I activate the new iphone5 I'm getting delivered on Friday? In the past I've always gotten my phones in the store and they did all the activation work for me. I currently have a Verizon Android phone so how do deactivate one and turn on the other? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Don't forget to backup your contacts and make sure they are correct. I do not think you can use Back Assistant on iPhone to load them from the site but you can download an app (VZ Contact Transfer) and do it that way.

The only "unlimited" plan I can think of where this would not apply is the old Connect plan for multimedia/basic phones. That unlimited data, on devices such as the LG Voyager, EnvTouch, and other "multimedia" devices is not the same.
If you currently have an individual $29.99 unlimited data plan with a 3G Smartphone, then you can buy a BBQ10 retail and activate it with the same data plan and keep the unlimited.

Not necessarily. You can remove the SIM card from the phone and set it up via wifi only first and then go the your MyVerizon account online and activate the phone.

Log in to your MyVerizon (verizonwireless.com) and on the Overview page scroll down to I WANT TO... in the third column of boxes, under DEVICE, the 3rd one down is "Activate or Switch Device". Click on that and follow the instructions. If there is an issue, it will instruct you to call customer service or you will be connected to customer service automatically.
