How do i activate the end user agreement

how do i activate the end user agreemenr???

You don't need to activate EULA's. They are just a simple way for Adobe to show their language skills. Among all the crap that Adobe installs, there are hundreds of (nearly) identical EULA's installed in sometimes more than 40 different languages, just as all those legal text files. On a simple Master Collection install, there are over 200 directories, almost 1800 files and over 1.6 GB of wasted storage due to installing superfluous stuff in God knows how many languages. I have asked for ages to make that simpler and only in 1 single directory, instead of all over the place. Microsoft does this very good, just install in the language of the OS, the language chosen for the installation and possibly the language of the location you are in. Get rid of all the superfluous crap no one needs. Who wants or needs to have EULA's in Arabic, Armenian, Bulgarian, Cantonese, Danish, Finnish, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Letvian, Mandarin, Rumenian, Russian, Thai, Turkish and over 30 other different languages, when English is enough?
Can you imagine the waste of bandwidth with the Cloud when all those 500,000+ subscribers and hopefully for Adobe even more in the future, all have to download more than 1.6 GB of pure garbage, that slows down the downloads, that take up precious disk space and have no value added at all.
But this seems to be much too complex for them to handle.
PS. I just realized something that might be important. Having all that crap in all those local languages could be the excuse for the exorbitant price differences in various countries because it adds to 'the cost of doing business locally'. Who would have figured out such a lame excuse???

  • How do I activate the end user agreement so I can download pdf files to safari

    The question is this :
Why does the message come up saying:
Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement.
This occurs when I try to download a PDF file using the browser Safari version 7.06 on a Apple Computer using the operating system
    OS X version 10.9.4.
I am able to use the adobe acrobat reader regularly but not through the browser.
    Thanks for any help.

As Deepak already asked above, can you please let us know if you have both Reader and Acrobat installed? If so exact version of the applications.
After you finished installing did you launch the Reader or Acrobat from your /Applications folder and accept EULA(End User License Agreement)?
    Please try this:
    Quit Safari
Go to /Applications/ and launch Adobe Reader or Acrobat which ever is installed.
    Accept End User License
Now launch Safari and View PDF.
Please let us know if this resolves your issue.

How to I accept the "End User Agreement" to be able to view a pdf?

If you are in Windows (which we don't know), you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement. If you are in Mac, see here: I have installed adobe reader onto my Mac but when I open up an adobe pdf it tells me that i need to accept the end user license agreement, quite, and then open up a new browser but i have never seen the end user license agreement. how do I accept the end user agreement?

    Hi Frank,
Do you get the message when you try to open a PDF via a web browser? If so, you need to open Adobe Reader (install it if you don't have it), and accept the end-user license agreement when it opens.

Find the Reader application (same place as all your other apps. Not sure where that is since we don't know your OS) and launch it.

  • How do find the end user agreement

how do I find the end user license agreement, I'm so frustrated

I'm guessing that you have been unable to find the way to accept the end user license for Reader. If you are in Windows (which we don't know), you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement. If you are in Mac, open your Applications folder, double click on the Reader icon, follow the instructions to accept the license, close and restart Reader.

  • Every time I try to open a pdf file it says i need to accept the end user agreement

Every time I try to open a pdf file it says I must accept the End User Agreement, so I just try to install it again and it pops up an error.

Does it just say you have to accept the license agreement, or does it say you have to LAUNCH something (Adobe Reader, or Adobe Acrobat)? If it says this, have you done what it says? Or would you like assistance in how to launch stuff in Mac OS or Windows?

I keep getting this message when trying to open documents from the web:
    "Adobe Acrobat is blocked" -
Where to I accept the end user agreement which will enable me to access Pdf documents on the web?
The Adobe website recommends this: (did not solve the problem)
Safari 7 and 6.1 block PDFs | Acrobat, Reader
Thanks for any help solving this annoying problem!

    Acrobat Pro 11.0.0

    Hello Isakten:
Thanks so much for your reply!
I already have Adobe Reader 11.0.7 and Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 installed.
Following your instructions, I then selected Reader as the desired Adobe product to open all PDFs. and save that choice. Still no difference, the same black screen and statement about the EULA shows up…
    http://www.nhgastro.net/patients.html
BTW, this is the website that I was accessing……note the link to download and print the pdf which triggers the EULA page.
and also downloaded the latest version of Reader via their link….but to no success…..
This all started by itself months ago, I did no newer installs or settings changes, none……
    Any other thoughts?
    Thanks so much,
    Steve

I was having the same issue.  Apparently it is related to your browser settings and is applicable to both the Reader and the full Acrobat version.  Once I applied the instructions, it worked like a charm.

  • "first open Acrobat and accept the End User Agreement License" with black window? Cannot open downloaded PDFs

I have CS5 installed and operating in my MacBook Pro since 2012.
Several months ago, I ran not an issue where by, when trying to download PDFs from any website, I get the following back screen and message"
"Before proceeding, you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement"
The screen gives me no options to do this and, regardless of what I do, the same window with the same message opens…….
Does anyone know how to address this? FYI. I can use Acrobat Pro 9 to assemble and create PDFs, this is the ONLY problem that I am dealing with.
    Thanks so much!

    Hello Rave!
    Thanks for remembering me!
No, I was never able to get this to work.
What I found, however, is that I can view the pdfs normally if I use Firefox instead on my default, Safari…….not much of a fix BUT at least I can access the pdfs now……..I just don't understand why this seems to happen in Safari only………Safari is updated to the latest version via Software Update in Mac OS 10.7.5….
    Thanks again!

  • I have a MAC and when I try to use Adobe Reader, I get a pop up telling me I need to accept the end user agreement. It instructs me to go the Abobe Reader Installer download , double click and accept the agreement, but there is no agreement.  What should

I have a MAC and when I try to use Adobe Reader, I get a pop up telling me to lauch ADobe Reader and accept the end user license agreement, but when I do that, there is no agreement to acknowledge.   What should I do?

I have the same problem as Pam101. I am on OS X 10.9 and Safari 7 (actually on 2 iMacs). The one iMac is fine but the other with the same versions and settings Adobe Reader will not work. What happens is the Adobe Reader icon appears on the dock, bounces once and that's it. When trying to open a .pdf file from a website a new tab is opened on Safari, the background is black and there is a pop up message (black test on a white background) that reads: "Adobe PDF Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement." This is all very well but if Adobe Reader will not launch how on earth is it possible to accept the End User License Agreement terms? Very, very annoying, especially since it all works just fine if I launch a .pdf file from a website using Chrome. What is going on here and who do I talk to in order to fix this problem - Apple or Adobe?
