How do I activate trial version of PSE8 (I already have the serial number)

If you have already fully installed the trial version but skipped or overlooked entering the serial number...
uninstall PSE8 by using your PC's uninstall facility
have serial number handy (it is in the format: nnnn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnn)
reinstall by executing Adobe's PSE8 installation .exe file
about 75% of the way through the installation process, i.e. at the Product Configuration stage, insert the serial number when requested, making sure you include the digit separators - - - - - between each of the six groups of four numbers.
continue with installation

PSE installation issues - How do you uninstall trial version???

I've read several posts about this already, but I can't seem to figure out how to uninstall the trial version of PSE for mac. (I am getting the critical errors/incompatible payloads error message. Shame on Adobe for not fixing this yet.)
I read not to dump it into the trash. But when I launch the program from untilities I don't see any option to unintall. One post said to "remove it" How do you do this? The delete key doesn't work. How on earth do you uninstall something? I can't even get into the trial version because it keeps asking for a serial number (and I've read entering it doesn't help. I'm so lost, and really didn't plan on spending my hard earned Friday night doing this.) Any help would be much much appreciated!

There is no uninstaller. The only two icons in the Adobe Installer folder were something called Exented Scripts Installer and the Photoshop Elements icon. I got tired of messing around with it after several hours and finally ran the cleanscript 3 program which worked; I was able to install the purchased version right away. It still really bothers me that I could not figure out how to uninstall though, I'm sure I will need to in the future.
I wonder if my computer is just missing this installer/uninstaller option?

After downloading and installing the trial version, you can activate the software by launching it and entering the serial number when prompted.
Else you can launch the software, go to the 'Help' menu and select 'Activate' and then enter the serial number when prompted to activate the software.

Hi, I have been trying for hours to activate a trial version of MS Visio on my PC. I have Windows 8.1 and the University version of Office 365. The product downloaded and installed properly, but when I put in the e-mail associated with the product it gives
me an error message (see screenshot below). The e-mail address associated with the product is an "@icloud.com" e-mail so I wonder if this has anything to do with it? I tried to create a new alias and use a different e-mail and that didn't work either. Or,
if I need to contact a University administrator to help? I bought this version of MS Office at Best Buy, so I don't know who I need to contact or how to get around this error. What is it about the University version that seems to create problems when trying

According to your description, let me explain this scenario:
If we have installed Office 365 University version, we have signed in Office with a Microsoft account. This account has an Office 365 subscription, but it not includes the Visio 2013, thus, we get the error message:"The products we found in
your account cannot be used to activate Visio".
To workaround the issue, we don't activate the product using your account credentials. Please enter your product key manually to activate Visio 2013 copy.
Open Control Panel and click on Programs and Features icon >Right Click on Microsoft Visio
>Enter a Product Key > Type your 25-characters product key and click on Continue button.

You would need to write self modifying code to stop the installer from functioning after its first successful run. Other than that, Java has good cryptography support, and you can make your app writes out the birthday of the time bomb alone with a signature to avoid tempering.

Can't seem to activate trial version of Photoshop Elements 6 (Mac)

I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop Elements 6 for my Mac earlier this morning to check it out and purchased a license online not too soon after. The serial that was sent to me from Adobe's shop does not seem to work in activating the trial version I have installed. I've been on hold for tech support for almost an hour now. Does anyone know how to get Photoshop Elements for the Mac up and running using a serial purchased from Adobe's shop?

I was hoping it wouldn't come down to that, but I decided to redownload the program (using the new link they provided) while on hold for tech support (which never answered in the hour I was waiting ) and reinstalled using that instead. I found out the 'proper' way of removing PSE from a response you gave in a previous thread and proceeded with the uninstall program. The newly downloaded file installed and updated without a hitch. Thanks again for your help!
I love how Bridge can be used to import my images from my camera to where I want them to go as well as organize my photo collection. Not only does it display a preview of my selected image, but it also displays various other information associated with my photos as well. There's practically no need for me to keep iPhoto in my Dock anymore!

I currently have a trial version of Photoshop CC. I do not know how long the version lasts, nor do I know what my options are when it expires. I would appreciate your answering these questions. I probably didn't read the fine print!

Each time you open a trial version Adobe normally presents you with a countdown screen showing you precisely how many days of your trial are remaining with buttons asking you to sign up or buy the software.
Do you see that screen when you launch the trial version?

How to remove old trial version of Pages

I trialled Pages a few years ago but never used it. Since then I have bought Pages (and Numbers) through the App Store but when opening a document (Microsoft Windoze 08 is currently set as default) and I select 'Open With' I have two options for Pages. How can I get rid of the trial version and keep the version I have bought?
For instance, I get an e-mail with a .doc file and I might like to now see how Pages displays the documents before I completely transition over from Windows (soon I hope!). I'm forever opening the trial version of Pages so there must be a way to remove this option.
iMac (intel) 2008, Mac OS X Lion.
I perhaps trialled the whole iWork 08 suite but never got to grips with it.
Any help would be gratefully received.

D'oh. I've just answered my own question! I had a little play with this idea and found the old iWork 08 folder and trashed it. Emptied trash and now we're OK.

Buying from the trial version of PSE8

I recently downloaded PSE 8 for Windows, and have decided to buy the application. The decription on the Adobe site says that one can buy the poduct by using the "buy" button from within the trial version.
I have been unable to locate this "button" which is probably staring right at me every time I use the app. I would appreciate some assistance.

Never mind. I found the button when I accessed the edit portion of PSE8. I prevously only used the organize function in the trial version.I think It would have been perferable to have the buy from trial button available from both modules.
