How Do I Actually Download QuickTime???

So, I'm browsing the Internet today, and a site suggests I update my QuickTime to the latest version, so I click the link and get to the supposed download page. However, there are no instructions at all for how I go about actually downloading this thing. There are no buttons to click, except the one to upgrade to the professional version, so I was a bit lost. I even filled in my e-mail address and tabbed out of the field, but nothing happened. I could see no way to actually download this software.
I am a lot more persistent than normal people are, so I kept at it for several minutes, trying various combinations of actions, until finally I discovered the secret. You have to put your e-mail address in and then hit your [Enter] key. That is the ONLY sequence of actions that will initiate the download of QuickTime.
My suggestion to Apple: Put a little bit of instructions, so people would know that sequence of actions, so they could actually download the update (unless Apple is just trying to make things difficult). A button to click would be even better.
Normally, I admire the excellent design work Apple does with all details of their products, but this download page for QuickTime is extremely confusing and frustrating. Apple: think like the user. How are they supposed to know what to do?

QuickTime Pro is not a separate application, so you won't find it by searching your system or as a separate download. A Pro key just unlocks the extra features of QuickTime Player and the QuickTime browser plugin. Launch QuickTime Player. If the Pro labels have gone from the menu items, then your key is correctly registered and you should be good to go.

If you want seperate accounts for managing apps and purchasing content, basically yes, you need two account and would need to repurchase. However, if you just want seperate ID for iMessgae, icloud and such, you can do that and still continue sharing the same Id for apps and itunes.

If they show as 'downloaded' in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes then are they listed in your iTunes library e.g. if they are music tracks are they shown in the Music section where you would normally click on them to play them ? If they are then iTunes is seeing them and assuming that you have them somewhere, even if you don't have the actual music (or film, TV programme etc) file on that computer - try deleting that entry from your library and they should get the cloud symbol against them in the Purchased link for re-downloading.

Open the Disk Utility in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder, click on it in the sidebar, select the Erase tab, and reformat it.

I am having issues with Quicktime. It would not open, so I tried to "delete" it and re-intall. When I did that, it would not let me install it and I got a message saying it could not install because I already had it.

Yes I had that problem this week. Did search in finder and dragged all files to trash,including any attempted down loads of updated quicktime, emptied, restarted and then down loaded latest version and all ok.
