How do I add a custom ringtone to my iPhone 6? (iOS 8.1.2)

I'm trying to add a downloaded m4r file (it's that silly song "Getaway" from Arrested Development's 4th season). I've added the song to my iTunes library, where it does show up and play. And I've tried to "Sync Tones" - to no avail. The tones in the iPhone's menu are just on that menu which comes with the device, and I don't see any area where new tracks could be added, unless they're just alphabetically inserted into the existing list (which doesn't strike me as likely).

How can I add my custom ringtone to iTunes 10.7?

I recently got an iPhone 5 and I want to add a custom ringtone to it. I created a 29-second clip of a song using a software called Audacity and then saved it as an .m4r file. Then, I tried the drag-and-drop method to add the file to my Tones playlist on iTunes; it did not show up anywhere in iTunes. Then I tried moving the file into the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder; it still didn't work. I tried shortening the file name, and making the clip of the song shorter (to 20 secs), and nothing worked. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
(FYI: I am using iTunes 10.7.0.21; I have Windows 7. I also tried using the "Create AAC Version" function on iTunes, but then I couldn't change the file type from .m4a to .m4r, so that's why I used Audacity.)

Are you meaning rintones that you create from existing files?
If so - then Google and you will get lots of hits on 'how to'.
Once you have the ringtones in your iTunes library then make sure in iTunes prefs>General tab - the Tones option is selected. Once your device shows in the Devices list make sure you select from the Tones tab in the Devices window the tones you want to d/l.

Even though BOTH files show up in my ringtones section of iTunes, I can't choose one of them for a custom text tone. You have some contacts with more than one birthday?
To add a custom label for a date, select Edit for an existing contact. Select Add Field. Select Date. Scroll up with the Info window above the date selection and select Other for the new date selection. Select Add Custom Label and then select this label for the new date field for the contact.
As far as linking dates with multiple contacts, the answer is no to that.

Actually I would like to use the Catalog Area Type (maintained in trx COMM_PCAT_ADM on Catalog Area Header level). This field doesn't seem to be available in J2EE webshop. (The field documentation says it is for documentation purposes only so I don't expect it to be transferred).
As this field is not readily available, I would like to add is as an attribute to the Catalog Area. BADI's PCAT_IMS_FEED_ATT and PCAT_IMS_FEED_VAL seem to indicate that it should be possible to add additional fields not only on product level, but also on Area level:

In the ABAP debugger, I can see that my code is touched during initial and delta replications, however, after replication, the fields do not show up in the Java debugger.

This is something you can not add at the moment. You can change the layout a bit of workflow notifications from the system but you can not change the subjects at this time to render a system tag like that.
