How do I add a drop down Shadow with Photoshop Elements 12

I am having the greatest dificulty adding a shadow eccect to my photo, the tutorial is nothing like the software I am using, I have made the layers the back ground then croped my immage made i wanted to place on the background but when I try and use the Shadow drop down feature the bos when i hit control T is not controling the shadow but a copy of the image i want the to be shadowed withthe shadow, I am only guessing at this point but I think what I need to do is have a layer that has the shadow only but I am at odds on how to do It! I have found a tutoral video on line but the software is nothing like what I have I am in trial but at this point I am quite agervated and may soon deside on another photo editing software im a noob any help will be greatly apreciated. the effect i am trying to accomplish is place a dino at the lake with my grandson in it he loves dino dan and wanted to create a pic for him!

Neala, I was just about to post this when I saw you beat me to it !
Anyway, here is again spelled out.
Willhamstin,
First of all, if a picture is too large to post in this forum, you can upload it to www.pixentral.com, a free service. The pic must be JPEG, GIF and PNG images under 2MB. Then post another reply here, giving the URL of the picture at pixentral.
Now as to your dino, try this:
1. If the dino is on its own layer, skip to step 3.
2. Select the dino using the various selection tools. Here I used the Magnetic Lasso which worked well. The selection doesn't have to be precise since the shadow will be distorted and blurred.
3. Duplicate the dino layer.
4. Fill the dino layer with black.
5. Image > Transform > Distort, and drag the top center handle to create the shadow. You can also activate the Free Transform tool (Ctrl-T) and hold down Ctrl while dragging the handle.
6. Apply a Gaussian Blur to the shadow.
7. If there is excess shadow below the dino you can remove this by moving the shadow layer up and/or erasing the excess.
8. To lighten the shadow, lower the layer's opacity.

  • How can i add a drop down list to a fields using BHTML( displaying on its)

    Please help me to add a drop down list to a field while displaying on ITS using BHTML or javscript. List should show all the values from value table or search help.

    Hi Sandeep,
    in ABAP, read the table (keys and values) and write it to the ITS context, e.g. with field names KEY and VALUE.
    On the ITS template, write code like this:
    `if (KEY.dim > 1);
       repeat with i from 1 to KEY.dim;
        keys1[ i ] = KEY[ i ];
        contents1[ i ] = VALUE[ i ];
        if (KEY[ i ] == SELECTED_KEY);
         selIndex = i;
        end;
       end,
       SAP_TemplatePulldownField("field1", fieldLabel=#label, name="KEY", key="keys1", content="contents1", selIndex=selIndex);
    end`
    (I had to add blanks between the brackets to get the code displayed correctly here.)

    I am trying to create a drop down menu with four items within a field box.  When I try to do this
    the font is too big and it just doesn't fit.

    You can use panel widget to create manual menu where set to show target on rollover.

  • How can I create this special frame/shadow in Photoshop Elements? (see picture)

    Hi there, I'm completely new with Photoshop Elements and want to create a certain shadowed frame for some website pictures... can you tell me if there's a ceratin technique, plugin or other freeware (mac) which lets me act this way?
    The frame/shadow should look like the picture lays on the ground, creating some clean yet lively 3D effect.
    Thanks for your help!
    Tobias

    Now it could be at my end, because my normally rubbish connection has suck into the depths of barely usable tonight, but I am not seeing a picture, just a frame.  And this is not actually the Elements forum, even if I could see the image.

  • How do I add a drop down list of options to a column in a Numbers spreadsheet?

    I need to be able to select from a drop down list in a column in a Numbers Spreadsheet . . ..  how do I create this?

    b,
    Pop-up menu, as it's called i Numbers is a Cell Format option.
    Select the cells that you want to format as Pop-up
    In the Cells Inspector, Choose "Pop-up menu"
    In the Cells Inspector, the default menu is 1, 2, 3 - Edit these entries to your liking. It will apply to all the selected cells.

  • Using Visio for Web UI mockups - how do I add a drop-down menu?

    I found the control shapes and I see there is a listbox and a "drop down" but I want to save this visio file as html and have a few links that navigate to the different "pages"if possible.
    Is it possible to actually create a dropdown menu and have it rendered in the html?

    If you are asking if it is possible to turn a mockup "drop down" or "list" shape into a real HTML "select" control when doing a web export - then no, it's not possible.
    If you just need a way to navigate on the exported web page, then note that Visio web export supports multiple pages; you can navigate between those by selecting them in Visio-provided navigation menu. Also, you can use normal hyperlinks to navigate to other
    locations/pages.

  • How do I create a drop down menu with Code Snippets and Flash CS5?

    Hi
    I am wondering how to create a drop down menu using the Code Snippets and CS5?
    There are some older tutorials out there and it would be nice if someone could create an updated drop down menu tutorial, and it might be me doing this after I have figured out the best and easiest way to create one, but before that I need some pointers.
    Thanks!
    Have a great day!

  • How do I link a drop down menu with product pictures?

    I wan to have  a product picture and then have a drop down menu to choose the color, so when I select the color in the drop down menu the product picture chages to its corresponding color, is this possible?
    Or is there an alternative way?

    Not in iWeb. You have to look beyond it.
    Here :
    http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/
    Lots of menus to choose from. For some you need permission.
    Then use the HTML Snippet to paste the code.
    For HTML Snippet alternatives, have a look here :

  • How can I add values on a Drop Down by Index Webdynpro Element?

    Hi every body
    Can anybody help me?
    How can I add values on a Drop Down by Index Webdynpro Element?
    How can I invoque my element on the Implementation Webdynpro?

    Hi Jesus,
    You can add elements to your DDbyIndex like this:
    //Example: Popular un Dropdown by Index usando Nodos de contexto
    // NODE[Card: 1..n, Sele:1..1]  Si es obligatorio;            ||    NODE[Card: 0..n, Sele:0..1]  Si no es obligatorio y se puede dejar en blanco
    //Assuming we created a node called "Source", with a string attribute called "Texto" binded to the dropdownbyindex
    for (int i = 1; i <= 101; i++)
         ISourceElement sourceElement = wdContext.createSourceElement();
           sourceElement.setTexto("Text number "+i);
           wdContext.nodeSource().addElement(sourceElement);

    How can I add values on a Drop Down by Index Webdynpro Element with a Model RFC?

    Hi Jesus,
    Please use the below code for DropDownByIndex Elements :-
    Suppose you have model node ABC and attribute xyz. Now you have created custom node CustNode and attribute CustAtt.
    ICustNodeElement  ele = null;
    if(wdContext.nodeABC().size > 0)
                  for(int i=0; i< CustNode< wdContext.nodeABC().size; i++
         ele = wdContext. createCustNode();

         wdContext.nodeCustNode.add(ele);

  • How to add a drop-down menu to a rollover image?

    Hi,
    I guess my title says it all... I was wondering how to add a drop-down menu to a rollover image? I know that there's the sprymenu, but I need to have my own rollover images.
    Thanks,
    Kazem

    Frankly, ANY link can offer a drop down.
    Take a look at this turorial.
    That will get you your dropdown menu. So you have that.
    Now, on your top menu (or any level where you want to have an image instead of text do this:
    (I am copying the HTML structure in the tutorial here):
    <nav>
              <ul>
                        <li><a href="#">Home</a></li>
                        <li><a href="#">Tutorials</a>
                                  <ul>
                                            <li><a href="#">Photoshop</a></li>
                                            <li><a href="#">Illustrator</a></li>
                                            <li><a href="#">Web Design</a></li>
                                  </ul>
                        </li>
                        <li><a href="#">Articles</a>
                                  <ul>
                                            <li><a href="#">Web Design</a></li>
                                            <li><a href="#">User Experience</a></li>
                                  </ul>
                        </li>
                        <li><a href="#">Inspiration</a></li>
              </ul>
    </nav>
    Now, let's pretend you want an image instead of the word "Articles." You'll want the image to be sized appropriately, and if you look at the CSS, you'll see it's 112 pixels wide by 52 high. If your image is approximately those dimensions, you're all set.
    So instead of "articles" you insert your image.
    Done.

  • How to add my drop down menu to my website

    I have been following a dreamweaver video to create a drop down menu with pure css which has turned out great.  My problem is when you follow a video I followed the instructions and started a new html and then attached the css styles to the new html called "dropdownmenu".  But as I don't know how to put it in my index page.  I understand that css is the rules but how to I get it in my website.  Most prob an easy one for all you experts out there!
    I hope someone will help me please.
    Thanks Karen
    Oh im useing cs5.5

    Thank you very much for taking you time to answer me.  I have managed to do this but I get a bit confused with the files so I hope you can just help on this one!
    I went to duplicate the dropdown.css file and put it in my css folder but the file was already there, also a link was in the css file altough it did not have "media=screen".  I duplicated the dropdown.css and put it in my dropdown.html, not sure if that is right.  This is how I have set out my files.                                                           Folder - dropdown
                                                                                                               -navMenu.html
                                                                                                               -dropdown.css
                                                                                       Folder - css
                                                                                                              - dropdown.css
                                                                                                              -styles.css
    My index page link between the "head" is <link href="css/styles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> ----so am I right in saying that the styles.css is determing the index page at mo and any future pages if I want.
    And the link from the navMenu.html is <link href="../css/dropdown.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />------and this is getting the information from the dropdown css.
    If I am correct do I need both copies of the dropdown.css?  I hope this is nice and clear for you!
    Once again thank you very much for your help.... it is very much appreciated!  I spend most of my time learning from youtube and don't really like to bother people but after an hour of scratching my head I gave up!

  • How do I create this drop down menu?

    I've been trying to figure out how to achieve this animated drop down menu and I just can't.  I've gotten somewhere in between (animation using the accordion panel, and the rollover effect using the composition).
    Any help would be appreciated.  This is the example of what I'm trying to achieve.

    Thanks!

    Hello,
    you can create the same dropdown using tooltip composition Widget but the only transition that you can add on rollover and rollout will be fading.
    Please check the attached file.http://adobe.ly/1IxxKfO
    Another alternate will be to create an animation in edge animate and use it in Muse as OAM File.

  • How do I make a drop down list of text in numbers as it is made in the example spreadsheet for comparing cars for buying where you can choose a value from a dropdown list for each car?

    how do I make a drop down list of text in numbers as it is made in the example spreadsheet for comparing cars for buying where you can choose a value from a dropdown list for each car?

    Where is this example spreadsheet? Without seeing it I can only guess at what you are asking.
    To make a drop-down list (a pop-up menu in Numbers-speak), format the cell as a pop-up then edit and add to the list of items.
    If the example spreadsheet is pulling in a dollar value based on what car you chose in the pop-up, it is probably using LOOKUP or one of the other lookup functions, getting the information from another table (a lookup table). If, instead, these dollar values are what you are choosing in the pop-up, then you need to create a pop-up with these values in it.
    The Help menu includes a link to a page where you can download the Numbers Users Manual. It also has a link to the Formulas and Functions guide. Both are useful to new users.

  • How do I use a drop-down list to populate a list box

    I'm using livecycle 8:
    I basically have a drop down list with many selections available. I want the function to be when they select from the drop-down the choice they made appears in a list box next to the drop-down box. If they choose to add additional selections from the drop-down list they will add to the list field as well. If anyone has seen one of those on-line job application sites where you have a list of qualities on the left and you can select them and they populate to a list on the right, That is basically what I want.
    I'm not too familiar with adobe quite yet and if you can break the process down as much as possible I would greatly appreciate it.

    Here are my two drop down lists. As you can see I build the second list dynamically based off the value of the year. I want to be able to assign my year to the value I select in this first drop down. How do I do that?? I only want to show games for the year I select. I currently have the year hardcoded to "2009" as you see below. How can i change that to be assigned to the JavaScript value i extract from the first select box?
    <select name="season">
    <option value='2009' selected>2009</option>
    <option value='2008'>2008</option>
    </select>
    <select name="gameselect">
    <%
    try
    String year = "2009";
    String connectionURL = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/ElmwoodExpos";
    Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
    Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection(connectionURL, "root", "thejedster");
    String sql = "SELECT GameId, GameDescription FROM Games WHERE Year = " + year;
    Statement s = con.createStatement();
    s.executeQuery(sql);
    ResultSet rs = s.getResultSet();
    while(rs.next())
    %>
    <option value="1"><% out.print(rs.getString("GameDescription"));%></option>
    <%
    catch(Exception e)
    %>
    </select>
