How do I add a hit counter to my Gallery?

So much I can't find instructions for on this board, in FAQ or in iWeb or iPhoto help.
Anyone know how to add a hit counter to the gallery used when iPhoto publishes pictures?

I still have not been able to add a hit counter to my gallery. I have no problem adding them to iWeb pages so it is frustrating that it's not as easy.

Humm.......hit counters are meaningless. They don't provide accurate figures of who has visited your website.
You'd be better off putting Goolge Analytics on the site - that will give you more accurate feedback.
If you want to just have some fun Google Web Counter - there are plenty of free resources where you can download the code needed and insert it into your websites page.
Just grab the code and paste it where you want the counter to show up on your page (not recommended)

[SAP CRM] How to get just the hit count of objects with a database query?

Hello,
i need help. For performance reasons I dont want to get the query result with all the objects from the database. I just want to send a request / query to the database in order to know how many entries are there available with my search parameters.
At the moment I load all the objects via class cl_crm_bol_dquery_service and the method get_query_result in an internal collection. And after that I call the method size in my collection object. But to gain better performance I just want to know the count. With standardized select statements I would take the select count statement, but in this case it is not possible.
So I tried to call the retrieve_hit_count method, but I will receive the exception cx_sy_no_handler anytime.
I would be very pleased to receive an answer <removed by moderator>.

It will be 0 before the call method statement and 1 during exception handling.
The exception starts in CL_CRM_BOL_DQUERY_SERVICE=>RETRIEVE_HIT_COUNT when the system tried to perform the following statement:
Return hit count if already available
rv_hit_count = me->handle->get_hit_count( ).
The handle variable seems to be empty. But why?

How can I add a web counter to site that is NOT hosted by apple?

Iweb 09 is now able to create and publish a web site to NON Apple host. I have one site hosted by apple, and one that is not. It is really great that now I don't need to have another web site editor program. BUT- as this site is created on iweb, I cannot add a web counter because I do not see the html for the site. Iweb 09 does not see to offer the choice of saving to a folder, so that I then would be able to add the html code for the counter.
I tried to use Itweak, but as the web site is not on my idisk, I have been unable to add the counter. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

the server behaviours panel.

You realise that 'hit counters' are pretty old hat and look a
bit amateurish
on a site these days :-)
Check with your host, they may have a stats program that you
can view to
check out what hits and other information you can gather by
the visitors to
your site.

How do I add captions to photos in a gallery in iBooks Author.

I have successfully added a photo Gallery to an iBooks Author template and have given it a Title but the Caotions option is greyed out. How do I add individual captions to my photos. The Help menu says it can be done but I can't work out how to from the instructions.

How do I add a cell count to the data already in my tables in Numbers '08?

I am using Numbers '08, Mac OS X 10.8.2
I have a spreadsheet with a number of different tables. Each table refers to a style of music and lists songs in that style. I want to count the number of songs in each table (bearing in mind that the first row in each table is a heading and would not be counted). I also want this number to automatically update each time a new song is added or removed. Is there are way of adding this number count into data that is already stored or would I need to start from scratch with a specific table style?

I would approach this a little differently, but there are more similarities than differences.
I would change the names of the list tables from Table 1, Table 2, etc. to Jazz, Pop, etc.
Column A would have the song number, Column B, the song name.
In Column A, I would write: =IF(LEN(B)>0, ROW()-1 & "."
That's all the programming for the data tables. You can insert and delete and sort to your heart's content.
For the statistics I would have a table named "Summary". In the Summary table you would list the genres in Column A and would calculate the number of songs for each genre in Column B. The calculation of titles per genre would be:
=COUNTA(INDIRECT(A&"::B"))
The calculation for the combined total in the Footer row would be:
=SUM(B)
Here's a screen shot:
As you add genre tables, just add rows to the Summary table and expand the genre list, filling the count formula down.
I suggest that if you want to try my way, that you do it with a little sample table, like the one I used, to see if the formulas all work in Numbers 08. If anything fails, report it and we can try to adapt it to the old program.

Does the web galleries have a counter?

Yes. You can install a counter on every page via theInsert->Button menu option.
This counter will record your visits as well as others. There's another option an that's using StatCounter. Tutorials 12 and 13 describe two different ways to add the counter to a page. The statistics it provides includes where the visitor was from, what platform they were on, among others.

How do I add .swf created with Photoshop web gallery to Dreamweaver page.?

I've used Photoshop CS3 to create a Flash Web Gallery. I put that folder in my site root in dreamweaver, but when I add the .swf to the webpage- it only shows as a white box. Even when I press "play" nothing happens. What else needs to be done? All of the files created with the .swf are also already in the root directory

I'm in complete agreement with JoeyD. Hit counters add nothing special to a typical site. Since they don't tell you where your hits are coming from or whether or not these are unique hits, I see no point in them.
@ Shocker. Your argument doesn't hold water. A regular web site is NOT the same as a web forum or blog where user participation is part of the whole experience. It's like comparing oranges to ducks - totally different.
If you look closely at Adobe's main web site or any other commercial site like Apple or Dell you're not likely to see hit counters on them. Why? Because they're irrelevant. The only people who care about site traffic are site owners and developers.
