How do I add a hyperlink in Preview 8.0 (Yosemite)?

Can't I just click on the link and have it go top the site?
The presentation must be in play for the link to be active.
I get the window shown here.
Your link doesnt work as it is an address for a file on your computer. Use the camera button in the menu bar of a reply to a post to show images.

  • Hi I would like to know, how do I add a Hyperlink on Flash, that opens a PDF in adobe reader and not the web browser.

    Hi I would like to know, how do I add a Hyperlink on Flash, that opens a PDF in adobe reader and not the web browser.

    Yoh, what is FSCCommanr ? sorry man I am an absolute beginner in Flash. I tried the code:
    /* Click to Go to Web Page
    Clicking on the specified symbol instance loads the URL in a new browser window.
    Instructions:
    1. Replace http://www.adobe.com with the desired URL address.
       Keep the quotation marks ("").
    instance_name_here.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToWebPage);
    function fl_ClickToGoToWebPage(event:MouseEvent):void {
      navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.adobe.com"), "_blank");
    this is the same code I used before and it opens a pdf file in a web browser, and it doesn't open an AutoCAD file.

  • How do I add a hyperlink to quick text?

    I'm creating quick text to insert into my repetitive emails, and some of them contain hyperlinks. How do I add hyperlinks to my quicktext?

    text is I think the answer. Mail with true hyperlinks like [http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp this ]is HTML not text. Text only does links like this http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp
    For links of that kind you just treat it as text, Thunderbird looks after the rest when you click send.

    Thank you for your reply. I would be happy to link two figures on two pages, but I can not do it! For example: I have a page called foreword. It is the third page in my first chapter. On this page, I refer to chapter 20, for example. I make chapter 20 a hyperlink, it turns blue. Then I use the Link inspector and chose <Link to --figure>
    <In --chapter 20>  <style--Hello>
    As soon as I click to open my chapter 20 to link the two word (chapter 20 --Hello)  the Link inspector stops. This way, I can never link the two.
    What doI have to do to link the two together?
    Cheers

  • How do I add the new tab icon to the Yosemite toolbar?

    How do I add the New Tab icon to my Safari toolbar?--it disappeared after I upgraded to Yosemite.

    To show your favourites bar where they were previously choose View>Show Favourites Bar. To add a page to your favourites. Click the share button right hand top, square with arrow pointing up. Choose Add bookmarks then adjust to add to favourites.
    If you just mean a new tab hit the + button.

  • How do I add a hyperlink like Facbook to my email signature?

    I am trying to change my email signature to add the icons for Facebook, Linkedin etc... How do I do that on my iMac with snow leopard?

    You can speed up what a brody suggests by making a text clipping of the link. Type it in anything, such as TextEdit, then highlight it and drag it out of that doc and drop it on the desktop; move it to a convenient place. Then, whenever you want to use it in a new email message, make sure the insertion point is where you want it to appear and then drag the clipping into the message window and let go.

  • How do you add a hyperlink to a jpeg?

    I would like to email a photograph (jpeg) to friends and clients that allows them to click on the photo to be directed to my website. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to hyperlink a jpeg and if so, how to do it.
    Thanks!

    Ok, now that I understand what you want. You are trying to create an HTML email so that someone can click on the picture and go to your link.
    Sad to say this, but you have two choices:
    (1) use another email program that might let you craft such email messages; or
    (2) in Mail, under the Mail menu, Preferences, Composing tab, change message format to Rich Text. Then compose your email, insert the JPEG as an inline attachment in the email, where you want it to be. Save the email. Then, with the Draft mailbox selected, select your email. Under the View menu, select "Raw Source". This will show you the HTML code that you are about to edit by hand. Then, using an HTML editor (perhaps the free TextWrangle at www.barebones.com), navigate to this email folder (located as /Users/yourusername/Library/Mail/yourmailaccountname/Drafts.mbox/Messages/xxxxx x.emlx where xxxxxx will be some number assigned by the Mail program). Edit the raw HTML to produce the appearance you want and create a clickable region (HTML tutorial is beyond the scope of this forum). Save the edited email. Go back to Mail, send the message.
    Short answer, the commercial email that you receive is using an HTML editing program to create HTML email. That's a bit beyond what Mail or any of the simple email clients can do.

  • How do I add a hyperlink to an object in Pages '09 - 4.3

    It can be done in Word but seems impossible in Pages.  If anyone knows a way to convert a Word doc to pdf and keep a hyperlink that would be even more useful

    You can't add it for the images itself but you can hyperlink a words or character (invisible or visible) just beside or under the object.

  • How do I add a hyperlink into a pdf document in OS X Mountain Lion?

    It appears that Mountain Lion does not allow you to add links to pdfs docs in preivew. Does anyone know a work around?
    Why would Apple remove this festure?
    Thanks,
    S.

    1. I deleted the HP folder in the printer folder in the library and the orgcups.plist and anything HP related in the preferences folder. Restarted and I checked the app store for updates..nothing.
    2.Added my printer via print and scan in system preferences restarted checked the app store..nothing.
    3.So out of sheer aggravation I went back to # 1 and checked the app store and wouldn't you know the newest update was there.
    I learned a little trick for both the app and itunes store, hit command and r at the same time, it's almost like a reset. I'm sick of downloading updates from the apple website so am trying to be patient but this one came faily quick as for how I got the update from #3, no idea, I don't ask or research, just happy I got it. Good luck and lmk if you need help.

  • How do you see "invisible" hyperlinks in preview mode?

    I've been struggling with this one for a while now.
    We're producing a large product catalog to be used both in print and as a PDF. In the PDF version we want to have hyperlinks from products, and prefer the "invisible" link style.
    Is there a way to make these "invisible" hyperlinks visible in Preview mode within Indesign. I'm aware of the Hyperlinks panel, but it doesn't show location on the page. The purpose behind this is to make sure all the text on the page that should be linked has been properly linked.

    I think given that the point of preview mode is to show you what the final appearance is going to be, the answer is basically no.
    But here's a possible workaround. You can create a hyperlink character style and apply it to all your hyperlinks. Set a character color, or underline or some other visual trigger. When you are finished editing the catalog, edit the style to remove the visual cue before you export.
