I can't see a link anywhere to import it. I tried buring it ias a disc and at a video ts file and niether will allow me to upload it.
when you're on word - click on file - open - on the section that says enable - you can choose the following: see image. try either all readable documents or all files.

A direct way with the correct movie size would be to use the Share ➙ iDVD menu in iPhoto. That creates the movie file of the slideshow and automatically opens iDVD and adds the movie to the menu.
I suggest you use this workflow in iDVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

That does not make sense.
WMV is a proprietary video format by Microsoft. The extension is just an indication of it. You can't add extensions to computers. Extensions belong to files and indicate what format the file is in.
You can however download Apps that will let you play videos of this format on your Mac.
Any Video Player is one such option.

True ... but that can be tricky.
Macs can only power so much, and only through approved/proper adapters.
Running two monitors off a single MDP-to-VGA adapter may not work, because Mac may not nicely exchange-talk the simultaneous signals.
There is an adapter that will convert a single minidisplayport to two VGA plugs, but that adapter is $100 instead of $30 (for the single) because it has special hardware in the adapter itself to manage the two signals sinultaneously.
Alternately ...
Running one through the minidisplayport and one through the HDMI port makes them two separate signals to be processed. -

A few months ago someone showed me how to use iMovie and iDVD. I liked the additional feature they showed of being able to add "speech bubbles" to show text for individual frames/images. Unfortunately, I can't find or remember how to find this feature. Anyone able to help?

Hello. I am using an Android cell phone and, though the phone sees my home server name and accepts my password, it won't connect. I understand that I may have to add my phone's Wi-Fi Mac address to my home server in order for it to allow my phone access, but I have no idea how I might do that. Could someone help me with this? You need to log out of iMessage and Facetime, make sure your number is correct in Settings/General/About, then log back in again to send a new activation request. -

How can i add a resolution display on a mac mini?
hi,
i have my mac mini currently running without a monitor connected. i control it through screen sharing from my macbook. i just suddenly had the clever idea of setting the display resolution on the mac mini to 1280x800 so i can run it full screen in my macbook.
only problem is that this resolution is not available (or not displayed) on the display preferences on my mac mini. it only gives me 4 options and is currently running at 1280x1024 (the other options are 800x600, 1024x768 and 1680x1050)
Is there any way i can 1280x800 resolution on the mac mini?

thanks for that suggestion, looks like it should have worked but even with all its configurations it will not allow me to add the 1280x800 res to the mac mini, and yes it is completely headless. its set up to be accessed purely through screen sharing on my macbook, i intend to set it up to run a vpn also with vnc access for when i travel away.
it seems like it should be something really simple, obviously the 1280x800 is a standard size screen!
any more suggestions??

The iPad contact app and the computer's contact app are not the same. You can't create groups on the iPad. You can view the groups created on the computer when synced with iCloud. Not sure if synced with iTunes, but the iPad app won't change.
If you synced the iPad with iTunes before, then it should still show up as a device in iTunes. If you are using the new iTunes, the devices don't appear in the sidebar anymore. At the upper right hand side if the iTunes window, younshould see a box to show devices. Click on that. -

I have a dual 2.66 Xeon Mac Pro purchased new in December 2006. I wanted to add the airport wifi and bluetooth card but have been told by the technical line that Apple no longer makes these. They suggested I would have to pursue a third party solution which I find remarkable.
