  • How do I add my NEW iPod to my current iTunes account?

**Let me just start by saying, iPod's don't swim.**
*Bought a used one from a friend.*
    *2 Questions:*
*1. How do I add this new nano to my current iTunes account?*
*2. How do I take off the music files on the "new" one?*
    TIA!

if you just plug it in to your computer i believe it should give you the option of who's songs and other info to keep, or download.

  • How can I add a second Ipod to my account?

I just bought my daughter a second hand Ipod touch and I can update the version nor can I download things on it.  How can I add a second Ipod to my existing account?

Plug it in and upload your music.
You don't need to have two separate accounts for iTunes on one computer, me and my 3 roomates all share the same computer and iTunes library. Separating them only causes headaches.
If you really want to though, if your on a windows computer you can create another user for the computer by going to my computer and add a user, then once in the new user download iTunes and upload music. One thing to remember with this however the iPod and iTunes does not support fast user switching (meaning when switching users in windows instead of logging out, just going to switch profile.)
    Hope this helps,
    Ms D.

  • How do I add a new ipod to my iTunes library without loosing the original ipod connection, how do I add a new ipod to my iTunes library without loosing the original ipod connection

I have a new iPod touch, that I want to sync with my existing iTunes Library. However, I want to keep my old classic ipod (for use in the house); can I have two registered to one library without loosing or wiping my library?

It has everything to do with it.
The OP wants both iPods to carry the contents of the library but was afraid that syncing the second iPod would somehow mess up either the library or the first iPod - not, of course, the case since no information from the iPod is transferred to the library.
Your suggestion is applicable for people who want a second iPod to carry a different selection of songs.

  • How do i add a new device to my account

I am trying to add an ipod to my account for my daughter and it is not alowing me an area too add devices????

What do you mean by 'add an iPod to my account' ? If you want it to appear in the 'mange devices' part of your account then you need to use iTunes Match or automatic downloads on it, or redownload some of your past purchases on it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
If you want to register it to your account then you can do so via this page : https://supportprofile.apple.com/
Or do you mean something else ?

Not sure what your post's title means, but you can only add a device to your iCloud account directly on the device e.g. log into the account in Settings > iCloud

ATA bus error means that data corruption occurred during transmission over ATA bus (SATA or PATA). This type of errors can be indicated by
ICRC or ABRT error as described in the section called “ATA/ATAPI device error (non-NCQ / non-CHECK CONDITION)”.
Controller-specific error completion with error information indicating transmission error.
On some controllers, command timeout. In this case, there may be a mechanism to determine that the timeout is due to transmission error.
Unknown/random errors, timeouts and all sorts of weirdities.
As described above, transmission errors can cause wide variety of symptoms ranging from device ICRC error to random device lockup, and, for many cases, there is no way to tell if an error condition is due to transmission error or not; therefore, it's necessary to employ some kind of heuristic when dealing with errors and timeouts. For example, encountering repetitive ABRT errors for known supported command is likely to indicate ATA bus error.
Once it's determined that ATA bus errors have possibly occurred, lowering ATA bus transmission speed is one of actions which may alleviate the problem.
I'd also add; make sure you have good backups when ATA errors are frequent

how can i add a new card to buy songs from itunes

    Hi...
If you are referring to an iTunes gift card, follow the instructions here >  iTunes Store: How to redeem a code
If you are referring to editing your payment method, you can do this on your iPod touch.
Tap Settings > Store > Use Existing Apple ID and sign in.
That should take you the Account Setttings window where you can change your payment type.

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:
