How do I add a new song to an already existing playlist on the new iso7 for iPhone 5?

I tried to add a new song and I go to playlist, edit and go to song to add and it won't. So confused!

You may want to reset your iPod nano and then sync again. If the issue persists, restore your iPod and try again. See these articles for the steps:

For the moment there isn't a way for us end-users to control what is "matched" or "uploaded." That is purely a result of Apple's server-side algorithms.
To re-add multiple songs at once simply highlight all the songs you want to re-add, then right-click (or Control+click) the list and choose "add to iCloud."

Use View > View Options, and set 'Sort By" to "Manual Order."
Then you will be able to drag-n-drop songs up and down the list.

I'd start off your troubleshooting process by deleting and redownloading the songs:
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
Download your previously purchased song from this list.

How do I add albums/artists/songs to a playlist?

I'd like to add albums and artists to a playlist. I can click the '...' button to add a single song to a queue, and then once in the queue, I can add it to the playlist (which is absolutely a HORRIBLE way to do it), but when I click '...' for an artist or album, that option isn't available? Once in the queue, I can add the song to a playlist, but I can't do it to a song that isn't in the queue? What the hell? The '...' button should ALWAYS have options to add to a playlist AND a queue, whether the '...' is for a song, album, or artist. This seems like a HUGE oversight in the iOS app - a really half-assed attempt, Spotify. I'm on the road a lot and being able to create playlists on the fly from my iPhone is a VERY important feature. One that is a make-it-or-break-it for continuing my Premium subscription. I'd rather use Pandora if I can't create playlists on the fly because it's MUCH cheaper for otherwise similar 'radio' functionality (for me) - the rest of the features are useless without being able to create big playlists on the fly - afterall, that's what Spotify is all about - getting the music you want, when you want it. BIG FAIL.

You cannot transfer song files from iPod to computer using iTunes (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
Once the song files are on your computer's hard drive, you can add them to your iTunes library.
NOTE: You can also re-download previous song purchases from the iTunes Store at no cost, from the iTunes Store Purchased screen.

thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option. But why do people always leave a message saying" i'll probably just by an ipod" and it's usually followed by, "even though i don't like apple or ipod" . I mean fine, if u feel like giving up on the zen micro thats fine, i personally don't care if you're going to buy an ipod. for god sakes ipod isn't even the next alternati've mp3 players, theres plenty. Are u just trying to get the creative people saying "oh man we lost another one to ipod" cuz i'm sure they don't lose sleep over u wanting to buy an ipod instead of a zen. *done ranting*
